Mission: 211 palm beach/treasure coast's mission is to connect people to services 24 hours a day by understanding their individual emotional, financial and community needs and to support the health & human service system as a whole.
Programs: Resource center palm beach county: this telephone based service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Highly trained specialists responded to 70,259 calls from palm beach county residents during the fiscal year ending june 30, 2015. Of these calls, 1,113 were suicide related, requiring intensive support and life-saving assistance. Additionally, 86,816 referrals, requiring assessment of needs along with supportive guidance, were made to 3,523 community services. This program has been in operation since 1971 and is nationally accredited. Further, these services are now available via chat and email in addition to telephone access.
resource center treasure coast: this telephone based service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Highly trained specialists responded to 21,332 calls from indian river, martin, okeechobee and st. Lucie county residents during the fiscal year ending june 30, 2015. Of these calls, 262 were suicide related, requiring intensive support and life-saving assistance. Additionally, 26,914 referrals, requiring assessment of needs along with supportive guidance, were made to 2,161 community services. This program has been in operation since 2001 and is nationally accredited. Further, these services are now available via chat and email in addition to telephone access.
elder crisis outreach: this program is devoted to serving vulnerable elders in palm beach county who may not have the physical strength, the financial resources or the family or caregiver support to deal with a crisis alone. This program has been operating since 1985, providing skilled staff who will visit the elder should an in-home assessment be needed and provide them with short term assistance in resolving their issues by connecting them with appropriate services to meet their needs. In the fiscal year ending june 30, 2015, a total of 681 elders were served.
