Causes: Homeless & Housing
Mission: The organization is organized exclusively for charitable and education purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the internal revenue code of 1986 or the corresponding provisions of any future united states internal revenue law (the "code") including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the following specific purposes: 1. To provide innovative and affordable architectural and design service for global and local mission projects; and 2. To establish a network of licensed architects, intern architects, and other professionals to serve in mission projects.
Programs: General program: the organization's primary program is training young architects by providing architectural services for local and global missions organizations. In 2017, we provided services including master planning, commercial, institutional and residential architecture, and interior design to over a dozen organizational building projects worldwide. These projects included campus expansions for the university of the nations in battambang, cambodia; stillwater christian school in kalispell, montana; central bible church in kalispell, mt; and youth with a mission in lakeside, mt.
international outreach: the organization provides training opportunities for intern architects by providing master planning, design, and construction administration services, within an international context. These outreaches help international ministries expand their capacity to serve impoverished communities. During 2017, the organization traveled to battambang, cambodia; dhaka, bangladesh; kathmandu, nepal; and guwahati, india.
summer studio: the organization's 2017 summer studio was a six-eight week initiative equipping 16 young professionals and students in leadership, service, and design held in. The studio explored how christian principles can inform a career in architecture. Speakers from around the country shared their expertise on design, business, and world missions. Lectures, small groups and one-on-one mentoring focused on faith and vocation. The studio culminated with the design and construction of two meeting pavilions in battambang, cambodia. Each participant had the potential to earn 240 intern development program towards the national council of architectural registration boards' requirements.
