Causes: Child Abuse Prevention, Crime & Law, Domestic Violence, Family Violence Shelters, Homeless & Housing, Mental Health, Mental Health & Crisis Intervention, Substance Abuse Prevention
Mission: Haven's mission is to assist young people in achieving a healthy transition into young adulthood as well as providing intervention to youth who have run away, been abused, neglected or are going through stressful times in their lives. The goal of the agency is to promote family cohesion.
Target demographics: adolescents and their families
Direct beneficiaries per year: in over 130 crisis situations, provided over 1,000 hours of therapy and presented in 36 advisory classes at New Trier High School.
Geographic areas served: our community
Programs: individual, group and family therapy, linkage to emergency housing, crisis intervention and outreach in our community schools.
