Our family made the hard decision to rehome our 5 year old Australian Shepard. I reached out to the rescue and within minutes I received a response from Char. I sent pictures and info on my Assuie to Char and she took care of the rest. Within about a week and half we had found someone who we both thought was a perfect fit for our Aussie. He was successfully rehomed to a great home where he is able to thrive. Char was absolutely amazing through the entire process. Very communicative, quick responses and extremely helpful which made this entire process painless and very easy. If I could give more stars I would. I cannot express the gratitude I have for the effort and work she put in to help us. Thank you!

Every single time I step foot in this barn, you can just feel the overwhelming love that's put into it and the horses and the kiddos every single time! Charlotte is one of the kindest, loving, bubbly people I've ever known. The love she has for the whole program is so apparent. The horses are well cared for and it shows because they show up for the kiddos and are able to do their jobs (making kids laugh and learn along the way and stay safe). I cannot say enough great things about Starz equestrian. It's magical.

The Institute for the Arts and Education, Inc. (IA&E), is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. Its mission is dedicated to enhance artistry and community enrichment through promoting and educating fine arts and crafts among artists and students, of all age groups and diversity, and the general public. IA&E implements ways to enrich lives and strengthen our community through the power of arts. We help teach communities how art work is made, and further enhance the involvement of the community with our events. <br> <br>A critical component of the IA&E is the invitation to encourage young artists from surrounding area to compete to have their art work displayed in the community. Invitations for both youth and teen art competitions are sent to numerous local K-12 programs. Participants have the opportunity for the public to view their work as well as having it judged by professional artists in the show. In addition, the IA&E calls upon the local colleges and encourages students to display their art work in the “Emerging Artists” section. <br> <br>In regards to helping educate the community, there are ongoing art demonstrations by artists at the shows who exhibit their specialized mediums that develop into fine art. This interaction between professional artists and the community provides an invaluable experience for everyone involved. The Institute for the Arts & Education, Inc. works to encourage creative expression and artistic excellence, and to expand public awareness, appreciation and acquisition of fine art and crafts. <br>

I am the founder and am one the current board members. It has been a joy to do the neighborhood focus groups and to identify supporters for the dream we have of reviving the first and only African-American USO built by soldiers returning during WWII. This was the first place where African-American veterans could gather socially in Battle Creek, MI., during the racially segregated 40's and later on through the 70's. The building later became a community center and was operated at some point by the City of Battle Creek as a youth center as well. The Hamblin Center was the only place in Battle Creek, MI where young African-American children could have after school activities. So for me, the possibility of bringing those opportunities back to neighborhoods that are struggling , is one of the best uses of my time.
