Programs: Agency Respite: Our respite program offers a period of relief for family members or primary caregivers to allow time for taking care of personal needs. Set hours and staff available. Behavioral Support Professional Services: Professionally trained and credentialed staff are available to perform functional and behavioral assessments and develop Positive Behavior Support plans for implementation by direct care staff. These plans are reviewed quarterly to ensure the plan grows with the consumer. Facility Based Day Habilitation: Offered at both facilities 5 days per week, 6 hours per day. There are over 110 different daily living skills and prevocational training programs. Programs are individualized to each consumer’s hopes, needs, and potential. Community outings, facilitating social awareness, and community integration are a significant component of the program and are scheduled for one to two hours per day. All consumers are eligible. Family & Home Based Centered Support: Professionally trained staff offer individualized program services in a home for consumers while providing relief for family members. Nursing Services: Health and safety are of the utmost importance for our consumers. The nurses monitor, supervise and train staff who perform medical related tasks. They review and adjust the Medication Administration Records for consumers. Additional services offered include: completing monthly physician orders, conducting nutritional assessments, communicating with clients’ physicians, health care providers with prescriptive authority, and pharmacies concerning medication issues. Peer Support: Individuals with disabilities are provided the opportunity to socialize with their peers while learning new skills and participating in entertaining projects or outings. Activities include: movies, cooking class, science projects, bowling, crafting, bingo, holiday celebrations, outdoor recreation, painting, games, guest speakers, gardening, and more. Monthly calendars are published and reservations are appreciated. Residential Services: RNS owns and operates 12 residential facilities in the Wheeling area. The primary goal is to enable individuals with disabilities to live in integrated community settings that maximize their ability to reach their life potential. Facilities are staffed 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Service Coordination: A service offered to ensure that consumers have access to necessary resources in the local community. SC’s provide advocacy, monitoring, treatment plan development, linkage and referral, social history preparation, psychological and other evaluation management, and convening quarterly, annual, and special team meetings. Supported Employment & Job Development: Identifies, develops and matches community employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities with the assistance of a job coach. Job procurement and training are provided. After placement, the job coach phases out until removed but continues regular contact with the employer and remains available for assistance or additional training should the employer’s needs change. Transportation services available. Bulk Mailing Services: Service offered and performed by our consumers for a minimum of 200 pieces of mail. Folding, tabbing, inserting, collating, sealing, stamping are all available to the public at our Watch facility on Main Street. Files at Your Fingertips: Document scanning, imaging, indexing, and destruction service offered to businesses and individuals. Your sensitive information remains private and confidential. Complete index personalization available. We also store a backup copy of every disc created for your convenience and security. GROW: Greenhouse Retail Operation @ Watch is an initiative that will employ individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Consumers will work side by side with non-disabled individuals in a newly constructed greenhouse where they will learn prevocational skills such as customer service, cash management, and gardening. GROW will be open to the public and will be located at our Watch facility on Main Street. Mobile Work Crew: Traditional paid employment relationships are offered to consumers for tasks such as lawn care, and janitorial work and other work. Consumers are paid wage rates to commensurate to their time-studied level of productivity as applied to prevailing community wage rates. WatchDog Shredding Services: A complete secure document destruction business that provides employment opportunities to consumers. Individuals and businesses can rest easy knowing that documents are trackable through a secure internet site from the time of pick up or drop off until the shredded bales of paper are recycled through Royal Paper Stock Company.
