I am actually a referral source to this great organization, & they have helped a number of my patients! They have gone above and beyond to try to help patients with cancer, and truly seem to understand the financial hardship the disease places on patients and their families. Because I was unable to get their assistance quick enough for one of my patients, they even helped with his funeral bill when he passed away before getting help with other bills. I think they really try to help the whole person in a caring & compassionate way.

I have referred several patients to this group for support, and they make personal contact with the patient to determine how best they can assist. On more than one occasion, they have gone above and beyond to assist my patients. One time they negotiated free tuition for a patient's child, then helped her with other bills. Another time, after helping a patient with some household bills upon which she had fallen behind, they coordinated with another charity to provide a car for my patient! Her car had broken down, and she was having a tough time getting to treatment and other places, and this gave her the ability to carry on, and boosted her spirits as well! I am so grateful to have an organization like Great Guys around for my patients!
The Great Guys Group is phenomenal. They really care about their clients and they go above and beyond to try to help each of one of them. I just wish more people heard about us and we will get there. We touch so many people and it's so nice to help someone in need. Every donation helps and so many families are being affected with some very hard times with this horrible disease of cancer. I can't think of a group that is more devoted to helping these families survive the financial hardship that comes with this disease. My family went through two versions of cancer when I was younger and I only wish I knew about a group like this - just to even pay the parking at CHOP back in 1978. I'll never forget trying to find quarters in our sofas to make sure we could pay for the parking so we could see my sister. Great job Great Guys!! Keep up the great work!

The Great Guys Group is a wonderful organization. I know too many families that are going through difficult times when it relates to cancer. Most of the insurance programs do not sufficiently pay what is needed and The Great Guys Group has been a wonderful angel to those families in a time of need. I love being a volunteer. When I was younger, my sister had cancer and our insurance only paid 80% - so I truly understand how invaluable a group like this would have been for my family. So I try to tell as many people as I can about their services and how they can help - and they constantly outdo themselves every year!
The Great Guys Group is a bonafide group of great individuals who do the most amazing and kindest acts for those whose lives are impacted by cancer. On the most challenging day this week, which was even more challenging because of the emotional tidal wave I experienced due to the death of one of my breast friends the week prior, I came home to the most amazing transformation of my front lawn. Just 3 days before my mastectomy two months ago, my previously well-manicured lawn was completed decimated and had a backhoe resting in it which was used to repair a broken water service line. The expensive repair bill was almost $7,000 and sadly did not cover the cost of re-landscaping the lawn. So, I had a war-torn lawn, a war torn wallet and a war torn body, all at the same time.
Great Guys to the rescue! They may have been out of funding, but they were not out of people who care. A professional landscaper came out and gave me hope because the landscaper made it better than it ever was.... all I have to do is water it and watch it grow. (Incidentally, I put a single solar light in the center of my lawn to remember my breast friend who passed away from breast cancer last week.)I don’t know how or where the Great Guys Group finds its great gals and guys who volunteer to do these wonderful acts of kindness, but I can’t wait to become a great gal so that I can do some amazing things for someone else through the Great Guys Group. Hey, maybe THAT’s how they do it? They help someone who comes back to them when they are in better health and that person helps someone else! They may certainly count on me. I was overjoyed and overwhelmed and I am all in! THANKS GREAT GUYS GROUP. I’ll see you soon.
The Great Guys Group is a group of genuinely Great Guys (and gals). I can't say enough good and wonderful things about this organization. They were there for me at a time when no one else was and I was trying to believe I could find a hero. Every day I thank God for these wonderful people and I would do whatever I can to help them in their mission.
Fortunately, I have had the opportunity to witness & participate in a few local Great Guys events. Even with such limited exposure, I have found the positive spirits and authentic caring of the group to be blatantly obvious. The GGG spirit is infectious; it’s no wonder they’re growing a such a rapid pace.
This organization is dedicated to bettering the lives of those around them. I’ve seen them do so using creative and innovative fundraising techniques such as beach parties, sports outings, dinners and more. With such a genuine group of workers committed to their cause, GGG continued growth is inevitable. Given the legacy of their past, I look forward to seeing the big things that GGG will deliver in years to come.
GGG comes highly recommended.
I had the pleasure of attending my first Great Guys event a few months ago, and was instantly impressed and inspired by the passion and dedication displayed by the members and volunteers of this organization. An organization like the Great Guys Group is a perfect example of how a small group of people can make a huge difference in the lives of others through hard work and a genuine sense of caring for others. I look forward to being a part of more Great Guys events in the future!
I have been involved with Great Guys Group for a little over a year and have watched a small nonprofit grow more than i could ever imagine. Very few people think about bills or personal finances when thinking of the hardships of those affected by cancer. But GGG takes something so simple and turns it into hope and strength by just keeping these families afloat in regards to the last things they're able to worry about, like phone bills, water bills, simple maintenance issues, etc. As the daughter of a cancer survivor, I saw the distress and struggles cancer can bring to the individual, their family and friends. Having your personal finances as an additional stress is a hardship that shouldn't be affecting these patients. GGG is doing an amazing job and bringing hope back to those who have lost it! :)
The Great Guys helped my friend Kim and her family when they needed it the most. Kim's family was stuggling financially due to her illness. She had Breast Cancer. I honestly don't know what they would have done without the help from the Great Guys. Since then I have volunteered for a few of their events to "give back" and to help them raise money for other families in need. The Great guys organization comes highly recommended. They are truly a "Great" non profit organization!
Great guys helped my family. They paid a months worth of bills, when my wife was getting ready to lose her battle with breast cancer. They helped us make it through the worst time of our lives! The story just starts there.Great guys has become family to us. they have helped us put our lives back together. we have become involved in all there fundraisers. They all know my children by name. They have helped two family's I nominated. I just want to let everyone know how they helped my family be GREAT AGAIN!
Great Guys embodies the truest and most genuine sense of concern for people in the local community that are struggling with the financial challenges resulting from a family member with cancer. Great Guys as an organization turns concern for another into actions to really help! Results count! Making things happen by raising money to help those in need acts on the most positive human concerns we have as individuals and as a nation. I am proud to be a part of this group.
I learned about Great Guys Group about a year ago and I have even had the opportunity to volunteer at a few events. Great Guys Group (GGG) is an amazing organization unlike any other. Great Guys Group is a passionate and sensitive organization that helps people and families who deal with every day struggles because of cancer, most are things we forget about, like the mortgage, the electricity, the heat etc. Great Guys Group has helped so many people and families and I have had the amazing opportunity to meet and talk to some of the people whose lives have been changed and made easier thanks to GGG. A few months ago GGG celebrated their 10 year anniversary and I was so happy to volunteer at their annual dinner party. I was able to help behind the scenes but also meet some of the amazing Great Guys families. It is nothing short of amazing to meet patients and cry with them and hear stories that you can only imagine, but through GGG you can also cry happy tears with the patients and their families when you can see the relief and the happiness in their faces thanks to GGG. I am more than confident that GGG will continue to reach out and help millions of patients and families and I will continue to donate and volunteer with this amazing organization.
Great Guys Group is a wonderful organization! They are so dedicated to helping families deal with cancer. I volunteered at their Great Guys Dinner a few months ago and seeing all the sponsors and families come together was something really great. I admire them for all the work that they do and all the hard work they put forth to help families in need.
I learned about the Great Guys Group through my 2 GREAT friends Amy Forkin and Lauren Rubenstein, they are both my roommates and both work together in the GGG office. they have so much dedication to this organization and it's amazing to see how many families they are able to help. I volunteered for the GGG many times and I've always had a blast. I enjoy supporting an organization that gives back so much to families having trouble paying bills, it takes such a great weight off their shoulders when they are already dealing with a life threatening illness. To see how much joy GGG brings to families in need makes me want to be apart of it even more. The Great Guys Group is an amazing organization and deserves all the funding they can get.
I love working with the folks at The Great Guys Group. They are so easy to work with and so responsive to our patient's needs. They provide critical financial support to those living with cancer. Thank you for all that you do!
This organization has been very responsive to the several requests that I have made on behalf of my patients and their families. The representatives are professional and have made it extremely pleasant and to reach out and ask for assistance even when none might have been readily available. It is a breath of fresh air when another colleague is willing to look outside of the box to consider ways of assisting others in need. This is rare but Amy Forkin has done this. And I thank her and Great Guys for allowing AND ENCOURAGING this kind of creative and reasonable thinking and action-taking. Thank you and Keep up the good work.
This organization provides the organizational structure to harness the power of our human deisre to aid those in need. It is a shining example of what is best in all of us.... May you be blessed by the hearts you touch and comfort you share..,
The past year has been a horrific experience... two close friends with children stricken with cancer... one age 2, the other age 5. As much as I wanted to help my friends, I knew of NOTHING I could do for these people that would impact their situations until I spoke to the GREAT GUYS. Great Guys help alleviate the pressures of things I never would have thought about... paying monthly bills, taking care of things around the home while the families tend to their most urgent issue... in these cases, their children's health. Thank you GREAT GUYS for helping my friends!

I'm not the 'direct' recipient of your help, but your organization came to the aid of my neighbor at my request. I was searching for ANY way to help a family friend that had received a cancer diagnosis. I spoke to Paul Isenberg and he simply said, "nominate them on our website". I didn't know any of my neighbor's financial constraints, but Great Guys started making phone calls to see where they could help. Not long after, that neighbor told me that Great Guys came at just the right time. I LOVE what you do and pray for your continued success in doing it.
The Great Guys Group has been one of the main organizations I refer to when my patients need help. Their staff is friendly, helpful and efficient. They are able to help our patients without implying many of the restrictions that keep many people from getting the help they need. Many organizations provide assistance to only those who are destitute and have no resources at all. Most of our needy patients are not in that situation- most people have homes, cars, jobs and are just needing a little help to get by during a life-changing cancer experience. This is a great organization.
The Great Guys has been very responsive to cancer patients here at the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson in Philadelphia, PA. The financial support that they provide for patients is so important to the well being of our patients and helps make their lives less stressful while going thru cancer treatment. I think the Great Guys are excellent! In this day, when most non-profits have reduced what they can give to patients, the Great Guys Fund is going strong!
I mentored a group of new PR professionals in creating a PR plan for GGG. The intensive research the team conducted to create the plan revealed a dynamic and purposeful group dedicated to helping patients and their families by providing monetary assistance during treatment. Paul Isenberg is a dynamic leader with a compassionate and caring team that truly do this for the love.
GGG is a wonderful organization that produces tangible results with the money they receive. I appreciate that donations are distributed locally so that I may be unknowingly helping a neighbor, co-worker or friend of a friend.
This organization has helped many of our cancer patients and their families. We are GRATEFUL for their existence. An organization that has a very painless process for applying for help and one that PRODUCES HELP!!!
Thank you Great Guys for being who you are and helping our patients in need!!
I have knows Paul Isenberg for 5 years. He has developed Great Guys Group into one of the best non-profits in the area. The mission of helping people in the Tri-State area that have cancer has grown tremendously over the past two years. Paul is now expanding into New Jersey and the number of families he helps each year continues to rise dramatically. These families need the money Paul provides to give them a chance to get back on track in their lives. The results have been outstanding. Paul's events are some of the best run events and continue to draw more people because of his branding the charity. Continued success.
The Great Guys Group-- Talk about a charity that makes the most out of every dollar they receive!! Not only does this group have true passion in financially assisting families of cancer patients, but they also work hard in making sure that they get the most bang for thier buck! They call and negotiate with bill collectors to get reduced bills and then pay the bill directly. It is amzing how many local families that this group has helped in such a short time. If you are not familiar with the group and all of the great work that they are doing, check them out at www.greatguys.org
I know Paul Isenberg personally and the work he and his organization really is a godsend for cancer patients in need. I have cancer but am fortunate to not need great guys services but I need many fellow cancer patients who are not as fortunate as me. I have recommened some to Great Guys and they have given a new comfort level to someone who is really down and desperate. Cancer is a tough road without adding financial hardships . Great Guys is a unique charity organization.
As the daughter of a cancer survivor, I've seen the toll that cancer can take on an entire family. A feeling of helplessness can overcome even the strongest person and being unsure of who or what to turn to next is a scary feeling. I have had the honor and pleasure of working with the Great Guys Group for several months now. I've seen firsthand the impact that this organization has had on not only the families that they've helped, but on the surrounding community as well. Their compassion for those that they help is unlike anything I've ever seen before. Not only do they assist families financially, but they provide emotional support and most importantly hope to people who need it the most. Everyone involved with this organization is so passionate about their mission and truly gives from the heart. I feel so blessed to be around such amazing people and to work with such an inspiring organization.
I would like to take a moment to say how excited and proud I am of the work being done by The Great Guys Group. In my capacity as Vice President of The Living Through Cancer Foundation, I've had direct experience with Paul and his group. They have been extremely helpful to our organization. This group will continue to grow due to the hard work, and genuine passion for what they do. Thank you.

the Great Guy Group is unlike any other Charity in the fact that they do whatever they can to help the family in need. Pay bills, shovel sidewalks, give rides, get a car donated....etc. etc. They really get involved, not only financially but emotionally as well.
The GGG has been instrumental in assisting hundreds of families in the Delaware Valley that have a loverd one going through cancer treatment. The services provided are invaluable to those families.
Learned about the Great Guy Group through a friend and have attended a number of their fund raisers. All have been very successful in raising funds for support of family members needing assistance while being treated for cancers.
I've met the persons assisted by this group and the expressions of gratitude from them is beyond words.
This is by far one charity and organization that I am completely comfortable in supporting and will continue to do so as I am able.
I have had the privilege of working with Paul, Tim, Lisa, and Mika at the Great Guys Group for various events over the years. The level of commitment and passion they have for patients and their families fighting the cancer battle are unparalleled. I hope that more people read about what a truly wonderful organization the Great Guys Group is and I hope more support come for those who give tirelessly and willingly to help those who need it the most.
Kindest Regards,

I have had the privilege of working closely with Paul Isenberg, Founder & CEO and Mika Maloney, Co-Founder and COO for nearly 1.5 years now. They have proven passionate, compassionate and to be sponges. They have adopted a series of systems and processes that have propelled GGG to the forefront of regional NFP's.
Assisting just 50 - 60 families a few years ago, GGG assisted roughly 1200 cancer fighters and their families to:
- stay in their homes
- keep the lights, heat and A/C on
- maintain their family transportation
And more important, get back on their feet so they can help other GGG families.
GGG fills a gap no-one else serves in the NFP community. Further, by employing solid, standard best-industry practices they have developed a "cookie cutter model" that has national roll-out potential.
These are truly "Great Guys (and Gals)" to be part of.
The founder's story and his passion for helping others is what draws us to the organization. We believe their support for needing families suffering from cancer is worthy of national recognition. We need more organizations to follow Great-Guys' lead.
My name is Joyce and my husband, Jason was diagnosed with NHL June of 2009 at age 34. The news that a loved one has cancer, is devastating and feels like your world is crashing. Suddenly, it becomes a domino effect and everything starts crashing down on you. So many doctor appointments, co-pays, specialists, tests, medicines, taking off of work, and the bills kept comming. Paul came to the rescue and Great Guys helped at a much needed time. Paul knows how reluctant I am to get help, but I honestly don't know how my family could do it without this wonderful organization. It is so amazing how much people care, and saying "thank you" is not enough. I truly hope everyone knows how greatful my family is for all of your help.
Hello, My name is Victoria McIntosh and I want everyone to know that Mika and The Great Guys are sent from heaven. They helped my family and they were there for us all the way. Mika is so caring, funny and so down to earth (thank you)She makes you feel better about a bad situation. I can only hope she feels the strong thankfulness & how great full I am for the work that she does. If there comes I time when I come into a lot of money they will be the first organization I will donate to, so that they can continue to help others just like they helped my family. God Bless The Great Guys. Love, The McIntosh's Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I learned of this group through my friend Mika, who has been an inspiration and a guardian angel when I needed it. I know they do wonderful work with cancer patients. From what I've learned, they provide so much comfort and support to cancer patients and their families during treatment. The GGG does so much good, and all with enthusiasm and heart. Truly a labor of love.
My name is jason i am a 29 year old male from pa. I was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. I am unable to work and the burden of my bills were starting to take their toll on me and I was almost on the verge of losing faith thats when an angel called me her name was mika. She talked to me and helped me through one of the darkest times in my life. Most people take for granted the fact they are able to work and pay bills without needing help from people and I was one of those people until I got sick. thats when the great guys group stepped in and paid my rent for me. Somethink its just rent but when its u going through it everything changes and life and people become even more precious. So from the bottom of my heart I want to say thank you this is one of the best organizations out there and I believe they are messangers of god willing to do anything to help people who are afflicted with cancer.
When my wife of twenty three years (and mother of our five daughters) was diagnosed with colon cancer several years ago, I was well aware of the potential financial devistation that cancer can inflict on a family. Having been in the insurance business at the time, I actually sold cancer insurance to my clients. In my case, my own cancer insurance had lasped as a "luxury", so when my wife was diagnosed and started her ordeal, I knew that it was going to be a rough time. Losing half of the family income while my wife was going through surgeries and weekly chemo treatments, I also had a significant loss of income by taking time off from work to be with her, take her to appointments, meet with doctors and be home as much as possible. As her treatments continued and our personal expensescontinued to mount (both medical and non medical), the anxiety and reality of being unable to pay for essentials such as electricity, mortgage, food, etc was one more anxiety on top of the overall anxiety of hoping for my wife's recovery. I tried my best to insulate my children from our plight, but personally I knew we were in dire financial straights. It was at that time that I was blessed to have been introduced to Great Guys Group and their charitable help to familiy's like mine that were going through similar misfortune. After learning about my specific case; with little hesitation or fanfare, they provided much needed funds to help us overcome the financial burden that we faced. Those funds went directly to pay the bills that I was so afraid I could not pay. Without their help, I don't really know what we would have done. They literally were a God send and I am forever indebted to this organization. To Mika and Paul and those who run this charity, thank you so much for unselfishly helping those who are truly in need, at a time when the potential loss of a partner or parent is compounded by the financial trials that mediacl trauma brings. My wife and family and I will never forget your generosity. Thank you for what you do . . . .
I was first introduced to the Great Guys Group last fall when my mom was sick with cancer. After seeing everything they did for my family when they did not even know us, I was astounded was was able to see firsthand how great this organization really is. They were so ready and willing to help in any way possible to ease the struggles of having a family member with cancer. When I finally got the chance to meet Mika and Paul and the rest of the great guys in person, the positive energy within the group was contagious and I am honored to now be fully involved with such a great cause that truly is able to bring hope home to all of these families.
I first was contacted in 2004 to help the group develop their brand. I did all of the work pro bono and Paul and Mika were so wonderful. They exude all the qualities of generosity, hopefulness and happiness. Over the years my role has expanded to include Web updates and communications and I am proud and honored to be associated with the Great Guys and be one of them.
