I have been volunteering at the DTW Freedom Centers now for 3 years and it's such a great experience! Maybe it's the mom in me or perhaps it the sincere feeling of appreciation for our military guests... it's just a great place to share my time. Even now with Covid, where we're reduced to doorstop hospitality, I still enjoy interacting with the guests and sharing stories of their travels. Always happy to support the Brave!

This is a GREAT way to help support our Military, their families and those travelling with them. They really do go out of their way to help each and every guest.

Providing a place of respect and honor, as well as vital services, for our wonderful military. Proud to be a supporter and donor.

I had the honor of serving the volunteers who joyfully give their time and money to keep this great organization running. I was marveled at the Presentation given by the current leadership it is amazing what they do with so little resources . If you are looking for a way to give back to those who have sacrificed so much for what we have and enjoy, I would highly recomend giving to the Michigan Armed Forces Hospitality Center

Huge welcome relief to have the Freedom center open. I was traveling with my family back from overseas and we just needed a place to sit and relax for a few hours between flights. They provided comfortable chairs, snacks, and friendly staff that helped us de-stress after a 10-hour flight.

I’ve used the DTW Freedom Center for both US and International travel and not only are the services and people great and very accommodating, I even ran into a former Officer friend of mine who was on a deployment with me 6 years ago and we reconnected and got caught up. So highest accolades for taking care of the Soldiers and Veterans and very much appreciate finding an old buddy there one morning too. Thank you!!

This is a great organization of which I have watched since it’s beginning, I have watched it proudly serve thousands that have served us, as their travels take them through the Detroit airport. Now as a new Board member I am excited to help more directly.

The Freedom Center at Detroit Metro Airport is a great place to come in outside of the airport terminal hustle & bustle for a quite, relaxing time between flights. The volunteer staff is always very courteous, polite, and eager to assist traveling military guests. I would recommend any active or former military, dependents, allies, and/or veterans to visit the center during your travels through Detroit whether for a few minutes or several hours, the accommodations are clean, quiet, and plentiful. It is our pleasure to serve you.

As a Navy Wife I can attest to the amazing center at the Detroit Metro airport! Not only are they amazing to members of our armed forces but to spouses and their families as well. The seating areas were comfortable and there was no shortage of snacks, which was essential on those 12 hour layovers.
