It is 7 years since I wrote my first review of IOCC and they just keep getting better. They are faith based which gives them a positive edge because they have a built in infrastructure in the locations where they operate. They do not " chase the buck" that is dangled by government donors often with a compromising political agenda. They work smart and while keeping overhead to an absolute minimum they properly invest in a strong professional staff. Their programs focus on the most neglected populations located in remote and isolated areas. At a time when many organizations operate programs of convenience where visibility is paramount and huge signs can be seen along the hardtop main roads from the airports IOCC sites are deep in the backcountry where needs are intense. Best of all the quality of programs incorporates the highest standards of control and accountability adapted practically to the limitations of rural communities. There are many charities competing for our support and IOCC meets my standards as an investor looking for the best quality return on my investment.
Review from Guidestar
My parents were war refugees and wouldnt have survived without an organization like IOCC. I have been a supporter of this faith-based global relief agency for ten years and continue to support IOCC for 3 reasons:
*They help people in need regardless of race or religion.
*They are extremely efficient with the way they spend my donations.
*I am impressed with their track record of reaching places others are unable to.
This is a small organization doing great work. They deserve to be supported.
This is a faith based International organization with a $40 million annual program. IOCC also has a domestic program and services in the USA. They are efficient, effective and very credible among those they serve. They do not live the "white Toyota Landcruiser"NGO lifestyle that so many NGOs have adopted. They keep staff and overhead in small proportio compared to program services and value rendered. They are not big on advertising or self promotion but they are huge on outreach and services in the back bush where few venture!
