There is no one here that is a former counselor, an active therapist or any other form of trained experience working with humans. Heidi's comment worried me that the owner of this place, clairese, is telling people she is qualified when she is not, which is illegal and unethical. I just dont want anyone to get hurt, a real professional would not lie about their qualifications and a real professional would advocate for people to not be led under false pretenses. Please think about that.

The owner as just arrested 1/2019 for cruelty to animals. She has a history of abusing the horses given to her and money that is donated is mostly used for her personal use, including buying her husband a Corvette. She is always crying how she needs money, then refuses to use the money for what she claims it is intended for, helping the horses, buying them food, veterinary attention if they are sick, proper hoof care and will let a horse lie in the pasture and die then refuses to take responsibility for her actions. It's always someone else to blame. DO not give to this charity, you are not helping the horses, only lining her pockets.

Well, we all hope you get what you deserve for all the animals that you couldn't care enough about and just let them die. The police will do the right thing as they finally realised what's really going on. Shame on you, hopefully you will never have the right or privilege to live with another animal ever again.

Horse sisters has been a strong backbone in my life since 2007. Without them I don't believe I would be the strong light warrior I am today; I was an at risk youth, and with the help of HorseSisters I was able to stear my life in the right direction. They taught me strength, stability, confidence, loyalty, and what it felt like to be part of a family. I was taught to work hard for my goals and to never doubt in my abilities. I am now a college graduate, successful and strong in my field. I will always hold this group in a special place in my heart.

My family and I have been involved with HorseSisters for nine years. Over the years, my involvement has grown. I see how the organization helps children and adults with different needs and abilities. I am proud to be associated with this organization. The horses are taken care of; I personally have helped with feeding numerous times. Despite a downturn in donations, we are able to take care of them because we pull together as a team.

This is a wonderful non-profit. Helping horses and helping people.

I have waited my whole life to be near to horses but never could afford to. I am now in my sixties and for the first time have been welcome without a checkbook!! Everything ,no matter how small, I do is appreciated!! Even my grandchildren have been welcome here and are being taught so much I missed!! This organization deserves much better than they receive!! I am there weekly and no horses have been removed because of neglect!! They struggle everyday but are always positive and survive on very little!! So everyone reading this bring your children out for Horse Happy Hour on Thursdays and see for yourself!!

In my group home I can visit with my mentor. I can take lessons. And learn about horses. Everyone is nice.

It always makes me happy to be with this organization. I've had such great experiences with HorseSisters ever since I was young. The people that come through are so happy to see the horses and meet the people and crew that work here. It makes me happy to be apart of the herd and work with the horses that have such wonderful personalities. I look forward to many more years to come and hope to see this organization grow.

Horse Sisters is an incredible organization. My son, who is severely autistic, received services through this amazing group. We were told he would never be able to do so many things. However as a client he learned not only how to ride a horse, but also how to care for one. His vocabulary increased dramatically and was completely calm and focused during his time with the horses. He was able to take his horse at Horse Sisters to the Special Olympics. There he was able to win a red and blue ribbon, that he still holds dear. My family also volunteered, and had a wonderful experience.

I have been a volunteer and member of the board at HorseSisters for 9 years. I originally came to this organization in search of a place where my daughter could work with horses. She was 10 at the time and knew nothing about horses, except that she loved them. With the help of this organization my daughter has become a skilled horsewoman and has developed confidence in herself. I lost my husband in 2011 and having these horses has helped both of us in healing our hearts. I would like to see this organization grow and be able to help more people.

This is an incredible organization, it's truely a win, win. The horses are rescued and in turn provide therapy for those in need. They manage on a very small budget as they are totally funded by donations. Any thing that is donated is greatly appreciated.

This is a well run charitable organization with many enthusiastic volunteers and staff that have pledged their lives to the betterment of these horses. Regular events and exposure brings knowledge and training to first-timers and continued training and sportsmanship to the professionals.

The place does amazing work.I'm severely mentally challenged with anxiety and depression amongst other conditions and I feel so at peace there. Its almost the only calming place I have left. Thank you HorseSisters, Clairese, Ron, everyone.

Clairese Austin is a very caring individual, who has put her entire life into the rescue and care of horses and other animals alike. She has had to put up with the negativity that comes from others who are local to her, and hell bent on the criminal destruction of her rescue and her good name through slander, persecution, terror tactics and other ugly things I am totally aware of.

What I know is how much she loves her rescues, and how she struggles to take care of them, re-home them, and give them the best life possible, as they come to her in horrible conditions.

When individuals take photos of horses that were just brought to a rescue facility, these horses will be in less than excellent condition, which is the way it is in ALL horse rescues. She has a few locals that take pictures of her new arrivals and then claim that it was Horsesisters that put them in that state, when just the opposite is true. As a person who done a few personal rescues of my own, I know this to be truth. It takes time to recondition a new rescue horse to prime condition. It takes time, love, and financial support. Horsesisters provides all of these in abundance.

I created the Facebook support page called "Friends of HorseSisters" to help spread the word about this wonderful organization. Through this Facebook site, awareness is spread, and donations are accepted to help feed the animals and provide veterinarian care in this nonprofit organization.

Please think a minute about locals who for reasons of their own, wish to bring others down. This "Great Nonprofits" is a wonderful place to drop their diseased lies. HorseSisters is a first rate NonProfit completely dedicated to the health and wellbeing of those animals that are rescued. Many are successfully rehomed. HorseSisters does not drop the lead-line there either. If for any reason the re-homing is not successful she will accept the horse back. Not many rescues do this, which also emphasizes the true love she has for the horses under her care.

Our family met Clairrise, Ron, and Thunder in Cocoa Village. Thunder slipped that larger than life head down to sons level. Clairrise explained how horses innately where there is a need. Son attended week long summer camp and had the time of his life. He asked me to stop at the gate so he could run to his horse famiy. Memory seared on heart.

Great rescue organization! Known them personally for almost 6 years. The horses are their passion and their life!

I have donated to this nonprofit for several years. I love seeing pictures and reading stories about the horses and activies. If you are looking for a nonprofit to support, please consider Horsesisters.

What a great organization! My daughter and I have learned do much from them. Looking forward to spending more time there.

I am a former volunteer, and I have so tried to ignore this woman, but it was just brought to my attention that in the last year this ranch has FOUR violations for loose livestock(I've been in horses for over 30 years and never had a single one) Total fines equaling $8715. This is just the last YEAR. She has also had charges for battery on a code enforcement officer, she has a long standing court order to not acquire any more equines. No organization can be considered great when they are in court several times a year for criminal infractions

My kids and grand kids love visiting and feeding the horses carrots and apples, there are NO horses with their ribs showing... It is a shame that the haters are causing so many problems, the Horses are the one suffering, the writer of that review Needs to get help! We love the farm and the horses are beautiful !, and the donkey!

First I want to mention that the other reviews which seem to be "hateful" are written by people who care about animals. If a negative operation is not reported...how are animals saved?
I have visited this ranch. My first shock was the ribs sticking out of all the horses. Having been asked to help feed I brought food and the owner partook in eating it. She told me to go ahead and throw the apples in the sand. I didn't. I left and i am not sure if the horses got the food. She had horses die from having sand in their guts and colic from it so why she would advise me to do that is strange.
With more research i did, I saw that she got kicked out of all the places she tried to have her ranch. If she is not allowed to do her carriage rides at an event she will go a block away and try to capitalise on it.
Go see for yourself before you become a "dear" "great" person and donate she'll call you all these ego boosting names for her gain. But beware if you criticise her! She is unstable.

This couple have done so much for many horses that needed and need help. They work hard and are and do as much as they can do with limited funds. They do what they do for the love of all the animals and are very deserving. God Less them!!!

I was so impressed with the work that this woman and her husband did with the horse that they have acquired, due to abandonment, that I was more than will to buy hay for them and have recommended many of my friends to check them out, Horsesisters are a wonderful and dedicated to helping others.

We came to Horsesisters for my son. We have always been horse lovers and horse people in general. When we moved to Florida we had to leave or beloved horses behind. About a year ago my 12 yr old son started becoming a victim of bullying. The physical violence inflicted on him was affecting the whole family and him greatly. As parents we were very frustrated, stressed and worried and our child was very angry and scared. He needed an outlet to channel that anger. Back in Nc with our horse we always had peace around our horses so we thought maybe we could find a place that we could get our child back around the animals he loved so dear. So we began our search. We had heard about Horsesisters so we went out and talked to the people . Everyone is great out there. My don meet a beautiful paint out there and just fell in love with her. All of the volunteers are welcoming and there are tons of sweet friendly animals as well. We found the peace and happiness we were do looking for by just watching the smile on our child's face at Horsesisters .

I was in a very bad car accident in 1991. I was hurt horribly, with three separate head injuries, broken vertebra in my neck and lower back, my sternum was split in half and I had many other broken bones and soft tissue damage. I could not get out of bed for months. But the worst was in suffering from frontal lobe damage. I could not get in touch with myself. I did not care about too much at all, like what I ate, or what I did, or how I felt and was very impulsive. I lost my temper a lot and I could not control myself very often. I hated to be around people. My physical ailments made it so I could no longer coach sports, or shoot in the skeet club I was in or even hunt or fish. I thought of killing myself many times. I never really had any horse experience except thru my wife who loved them. She got me interested in the ranch...sneaky too. It started with helping with the maintenance, so I would feel worthwhile again, since I am now 100% disabled and cannot work.

I mended fences. I did a little organizing. Then I started working on planning. I was asked to join the board and never had done that, so I resisted. Then I started feeding...what a joy that was. The horses showed me they were each individuals and their personalities were wonderful. I got so I missed them when I wasn't there. They gave me a reason to get out of bed and to feel worthwhile. I do ride, but it does bother my lower back so only one a month or so. But now I am out there every day...because I want to be. I also finally joined the board and care for all the maintenance now and I am glad to do so.

We are a humble place with donated buildings and nothing fancy at all, just the horses. They are the stars of the ranch, well, until the clients and volunteers come out. We have had so many wonderful times out there. The horses have shown me so much about myself and how to get over my walls I had. They challenge me an make me laugh. They even help me understand people better. I cry when I have to bury one of the sanctuary horses as this is our 16th year. I feel very fortunate to have this ranch in my life.

I am very saddened to see the negative comments, regarding this organization, they come across as hate filled and full of spite. I have been to The ranch 4 times in apprx 3 years. I have seen some financial struggles, but I have never seen neglect or abuse of the animals. a couple of the animals I spent time with, had troublesome health issues, not unlike older humans experience, especially after being in a prior environment that was not healthy or nurturing, and some bodies, no matter the medical intervention just can never seem to bounce back. We do not immediate jump to put humans out of their misery, we make them as comfortable as possible, maintaining their dignity and give them as much love as possible til time for their final journey, this is not thought of as heinous or criminal when we do it for humans why then would one feel it is wrong to allow nature to take it's course with horses? Horsesisters , IS a peaceful, gentle and loving environment for convalescence and for hospice care of these hooved creatures. My final observance is again directed to those who continue to attack and bombard multiple sites, the county and other organizations with their very UNHELPFUL, HATEFUL and HURTFUL remarks and comments. YOU ARE THE TYPE OF PEOPLE THAT WOULD PUSH to the ground, a man struggling to stand in a fierce wind, then stand on top of him to prevent him from getting up. This IS an organization that is dear to me, and I value the work they are able to do and the services they provide to both the horses, humans.

You will not find a more caring group of people anywhere. The love and respect of Gods precious creatures and love of mother nature is evident at Horsesisters.

I read, with some incredulity the review posted by An Expert. I have some questions and statements in regard to same. First let's start with the neighbor and the 2 injunctions for protection that were filed. You sort of neglect to mention both were dismissed by the judge following a hearing. Anyone can file an injunction, if you don't have facts to back your claim the judge will dismiss your filing as was done here.
If as you mention the land is free why on tax filings were $27,000 written off for land and buildings? The land is free so the landowner should get the deduction. The only permanent building is not even completed and I see no permits for this. This would make the building a legal liability.
As far as claiming that they are sabotaging the wiring, do you have any proof such as dated pictures? That is leaning very close to libel. The horses have gotten out many times as evidenced by dated photos, in fact some this morning, when they had to come back and move horses. Or do you have any proof that any of the thefts are related to this neighbor?
If they are not charging the nonprofit for fuel, tack and such why are they writing these expenditures off on their tax return (citing 2010) to the tune of $4970.54, truck lease $2,606, Saddles $4,800, riding tack $4,000, driving tack $4.000 etc?
But all this is trivial. The real concern, and the ONLY concern, is the horses. The judge in his final judgement stated this "6. Respondents/Owners shall not acquire any additional equines unless and until the
Court determines that Respondents/Owners are financially able to adequately provide for said
animals. Respondents/Owners may adopt out remaining equines, but shall not replace them
without Court approval." Unlike some of the other provisions in this final judgement, this did not have an end date attached to it. There are now 3 additional horses on this property that arrived on 6/30/2013. They are in a state of starvation, flat out painful abusive starvation. There was one other but it colicked and was put down. Not only does Horsesister's appear to be in violation of a court order by bringing in more horses but in the months since their arrival they have gone steadily downhill. On that mule you mention you can see the hipbones sticking out like wings and every other bone in that body. You see huge pits in the head where they should be fat and muscle. Yes, this mule is dying a slow and painful misery. Why, if this is the caring charity as is claimed, aren't all the horses being fed something besides beet pulp. Why do some horses have a full round bale while the horses on the other side of the fence have little to nothing. The concern is that horses do not die and to that end yes, a noise will be made. It is only right. I might ask too that why the horses that were confiscated from Horsesister's before gained weight while being held by the courts? If they were ill and unable to gain weight they would not gain weight anywhere.
I've worked at horse rescues and in none of the rescues that I've worked with even with starving horses off the feedlots was there anything like the conditions I am seeing at Horsesister's.

It shocks me that anyone would ever question the honor, honesty or care with which Clairese Austin conducts her work at Horsesisters and Associates. Her horses are always well fed,sheltered and cared for. Sometimes she rescues a horse, thank God, and that horse is in horrible shape certainly no fault of hers. I have seen her bring horses back from the edge of life to happy, healthy and adoptable horses.
I have also seen her horses, all rescues I believe, turn a hard world right for kids and adults who re differently abled. She has done nothing but good for horses and animals for her community. Her work is nothing less than commendable.
In a world where so much harm is being done and especially to the animals, why in the world would anyone try to stop somebody who is giving tirelessly at her own expense at times. This is not a woman getting fat on donations rather she is a woman that would share her last scraps with her animals if need be.
Clairese is conscientious and always in touch with and on top of the wellness of her herd. All this in spite of the harassment and distractions leveled at her.

I just recently started volunteering at Horsesisters and the first thing that I noticed was the love that the owners have for their animals. They are kind, warm people who obviously care deeply in helping the horses, mule, and donkey feel loved, safe and well fed. It is an honor to have met them and to be a volunteer at Horsesisters.

I personally think HorseSisters is awesome despite the crap they have been through and all the rude things said. They have come far in leaps and bounds and continue to be a great rescue!!

I have personally been to Horse Sisters and have seen for myself the excellent work being done there. The people that choose to hide behind false names and make hateful comments have never been to or have seen what Horse Sisters does. The director works diligently to raise necessary funds for this rescue. There are many, many rescues that are not in it for the right reasons and I can tell you, this place IS in it for the right reasons. They do not abuse or neglect any of their charges. As a matter of fact, it is the exact opposite. Excellent place to go if all you want/need to do is hug a horse and they love peppermints.

This dedicated charity has been saving horses in their community since 1994, before they were even a nonprofit. They take homeless horses and rehabilitate, re-feed and retrain them to become therapy horses for their equine assisted therapy & Special Olympic riders and drivers, if the horses are able. Some of the horses are not suitable. Some of the horses have terminal illnesses and come to HorseSisters to hospice with their owners paying their way along. They adopt out many as well. Losing their lease in 2003, they were called upon to move onto beautiful property owned by a prominent family who would NOT put up with any kind of nonsense were any of it true. Their current free leased 14 acres is wide open, exposed for all to see and inhabited by a small neighborhood of their landlord's lessees. Everyone loves the horses - except ONE person - most neighborhoods have them - her reputation preceded her and MOST of these bad reviews found online are from her camp. The charity begin to have trouble with this very dangerous neighbor right away, when she appeared to be jealous because she has to pay for a lot for her sad stallion mini who must live all alone. In fact, they had to file TWO injunctions for protection against this neighbor because she brandished a gun and threatened to SHOOT! No one lived on the horse property for a long time, but the crimes against the horses and property were just too grave and finally they started getting caretakers just to keep things from being stolen and vandalized. The list of these crimes is a mile long. With three strand electric fencing, some battery/solar powered, it was easy to sabotage the fencing and that they do. The articles stolen exceeded $15,000.00 one year, along with their faithful registered Parson Russell Terrier who was vermin control. The lies being perpetuated about these fine people are disgusting. They have been accused of all manner of false ills and when forced to court by an out of control animal control officer 2/29/2011 - who was FIRED for insubordination and creating a hostile workplace soon afterwards - the judge ruled the deficits he saw were largely financial. They did NOT even OWN the two horses AC claimed were malnourished (their blood work did proved they were NOT starved) and those two horses were returned to their owners. One has since died of the malady he was diagnosed with in July of 2010 by a licensed Veterinarian in front of the owner, and one is still suffering with the very same ailments he was diagnosed with by another licensed Vet while on this charity's property. In fact this same group of horrid people (disgruntled volunteers and spurned adopters) who everyone has taken to calling the "haters" have made 58 complaints to date against that same horse and those owners at their new barn. The Judge ordered a one year period for the charity to PROVE that it could indeed do as they say they could. No one has been accused of cruelty or neglect! Not even a warning! No charges were ever filed against the director Clairese or the charity and the Judge did NOT rule on that finding, even though the assistant County Attorney tried his best. He did not win. He wanted all 26 horses taken from the charity. But it was not to be. The Judge listed some things the charity was to provide during the year to support their abilities- and they were NOT any different than any other rescue would have to provide Animal Services or what they had not already been sharing amicably all these prior years. The Judge made his ruling for ONE year and that date was April 12, 2012 thru April 12, 2013. The Judge was clear to say "one cannot forget the great things HorseSisters has done for the community". At the end of this one year term, the director asked if AC was going to file their findings. NO ONE would answer her for months. Once she was finally told AC was not turning in a report, how odd, the director set up her report and filed for a hearing with the Judge for the dismissal of the case, which is pending. But the haters could not stand that. See, they spent the entire year trying to force this charity to fail. They contacted their vendors, their donors, their supporters, why even authors that wrote glowing articles about the charity - and their venues. They sent photos of the two sick horses that did not belong to the charity, insisting that the director herself starved them to death. One of the charity's horses was fatally injured by the Veterinarian that AC had out on the original date by ignorantly forcing mineral oil into its lungs. It took 6 weeks to figure out the horse's lungs were dying from the oil and a 6 year old, healthy Clydesdale had to be put to sleep. That very same arrogant vet was fired by the charity over 10 years ago for too many misdiagnosis' and for making a sexual pass at a minor on their premises - that vet should have excused himself from the charity. That vet also seized a 40 year old pony who was seen by the charity's vet Jan. 24, 2012, saying he was neglected and malnourished. In his report he claimed the pony needed dental. In the courtroom, the charity's attorney asked the vet if he was going to build the pony dentures as their vet noted on his Jan. 24, 2012 statement the pony had NO TEETH! The vet lied in his exam! He also listed the sexes and colors of many of their horses in error? Some expert in his field! He claimed the Clydesdale was colicking, but the charity contacted their own vet and gave her the horse's vital signs and they were not concerned, plus the charity has the whole situation on video and the horse is not suffering or have any colic symptoms. Ignorance led AC to seize that pony, who was just vetted 5 weeks earlier, and they tried to seize the Clydesdale as well, lying that the director refused veterinary care for it when she called her own vet and followed her own vet's protocol. The director has a video of the vet and the officers trying to stuff a very calm (he was supposed to be in dire straights, dying of colic) Clydesdale into a small two horse trailer. The horse was smarter than all of them as he refused to get into the trailer. They were forced to leave him. Once those three horses were taken off the property and taken to an undisclosed location, that vet and the AC officers opened a bag of feed and let the three of those "starved horses" gorge themselves. It was springtime and all horse experts know not to allow horses full, unlimited access to tall, new grass. No one else cared. Those three horses were allowed to eat at will and for the pony, that could have killed him. The pony had to see a vet in an emergency the day it was returned to the rescue and given medication and an IV drip. No one reported this back to the charity and that pony died six days later. The haters blamed it all on the director. NO ONE knew - on the stand, when questioned by the charity's attorney, that a horse could eat themselves to death. NOT the AC officer, the County Attorney, or the Judge. HorseSisters knew. Between their board members, there are over 500 years of equine knowledge between them. Through the year, some board members were then traumatized with late night filthy calls, breathing, hangup calls, calls to their employers, one even had a dead dog dragged 1/4 mile into their property by someone who threatened her online. The charity lost board members. The bullying and name calling online was brutal to the volunteers - who were made fun of for their body sizes, or their clothing or the way they did things and photos of them and their minor children were published on social media and other places online against their wishes. The charity lost MANY volunteers. The hater's behaviors has been childish, cruel, even ugly, yet the charity has maintained what their attorney calls "clean hands" in NOT reacting to them on social media or enacting any revenge. Even the director and her family, for the first time in their lives, have been set up and accused of some odd crimes of late. Mr. Austin, age 63, has never been in trouble in his life, took a plea from two felonies to a misdemeanor from a road rage incident where he was attacked by three family members in their 50's for bumping their bumper at a green light and they lied that he had a gun. It was their word against his and he was a set up, insurance fraud. These sick people then requested their identities be kept secret so there was no accidental contact, so their initials were posted in all court documents. But these hateful, lying haters say he assaulted minors, in their absolute ignorance. There were NO youths involved in anything at all. But this is what these haters assume and have publicly declared against a wonderful man. These haters claim the director assaulted a code enforcement officer (one the haters have sent to the charity's thrift store over 40 times with false claims) The director called the police on the code enforcement officer for threatening her and refusing to leave the inside of the premises. The directors arraignment is 9/13 and there will be a jury trial as the director is innocent. These haters continue to hide behind fake names and fake profiles that were set up just for places like this where they leave lies instead of reviews. Cowards. Just yesterday "someone" anonymously complained the charity's mule was "dying" and they called out the Sheriff's department and AC. More taxpayer dollars wasted for their false reports. 99% of their complaints have been "unfounded" and the 1% there was an issue - the haters could have caused that issue. The haters are calling the county managers, commissioners, any city, county or state agency they can to make false accusations against. The charity is so busy trying to do damage control from their hateful and false accusations, their programs have been stopped. They cannot apply for grants, or request board members, or volunteers without these haters going after everything. The haters promise venues that allow the charity to join them, or business that do business with the charity that they will picket them and boycott them and we all live in a very small town. The horse world is small as is. This is how its been for the past 18 months for this poor charity that has done no wrong. Each time someone makes a false comment like this, someone else reconsiders helping with donations for this all volunteer based charity. The director who is not eligible for disability but walks with a cane and needs a scooter because a debilitating back disease and a knee replacement and her husband, who is on disability from a 1991 car accident, gave $6000.00 to the agency and live very frugally. They do not charge the charity for the use of their truck, their 6 horse trailer, their harnesses, their carriages and wagons and their own horses to pull those vehicles to do horse drawn events such as weddings, parties, festivals, hayrides, trail rides, or to give lessons to able bodied riders to generate donations. They do not take any of the donations made., never have. They never charge the disabled or veterans for their services. These people think of themselves last and always have. HorseSisters, named after their first two therapy horses, who were indeed sisters, is their dream - the last thing they would do is harm it. There is something horrible wrong with people like this - who by the way - have been asked several times to come meet the board and look at the financials as the charity has a weekly open house. NO ONE has had the guts to do so. They just do things like this - heaven forbid if they donate so much as a bale of hay! They have not, in fact they told people we refuse their donations, when nothing is further from the truth.

This organization has been under court orders associated with the care of their equines, for over a year. Even though the time ran out of some of the requirements by the courts, the condition of the equines was so strongly in question that the case has been reopened. The animals are not being fed the amount needed to keep them at a health weight. Emaciated horses have been explained as "new to the ranch" when they were there a year ago, the time I started to watch this organization. An unusually large number of horses are not getting vet care when it is needed, and die or are put down. The most recent was actually a newer addition to their herd (specifically against court orders). The horse colicked and in front of a law officer, they chose not to have a vet visit, but instead shot it in the head. They were visited by BASE as recently as yesterday. The husband has full access to this organization and those that are on the grounds, even though he has been convicted of at least one crime that involved a minor.

I can not explain the other reviews that have been writtten here, regarding how wonderful this organization is. Take the time to review the court documents that are available. Take the time to go to the Brevard County records that are online.

I met Horsesisters on Facebook several years ago. After awhile, I began donating to them. Horsesisters works very hard to provide for the horses in their care and also fight for the protection of premarin horses and other national horse related issues. I often receive pictures of the ranch and updates on the horses. They have recently opened a store, the proceeds of which go to help the horses. I am always impressed with the creativity of this non-profit and their willingness to put in the effort to make their plans a reality.

We started volunteering for HorseSisters 3years ago and enjoy it very much. My wife and I love animals and I especialy horses,and HorseSisters gave us the opportunity to help the horses as much as we are able to.The directors at HorseSisters aare very pationate about their good cause organization and do all they can do to help these animals.We are glad we are part of this organization and recomend HorseSisters to everyone who likes to help animals. Thank you HorseSisters for what you are doing for these beutifull cretures.

HorseSisters is my very favorite place to visit when I need a break. Everyone there is sweet and gracious, and they make visitors feel like royalty. The horses are kind and gentle, well cared for and it shows. How I wish I lived closer. Anytime I visit I leave there refreshed and full of love for what Ron and Clairese, and all the great volunteers, do for the horses and the people in Titusville. Keep up the good work!

Horsesisters is the best Rescue I know of. They not only help horses in need, they help children in need also a great bond. Horses are great healers and need to do what they are good at As for the children healing makes them better people and the responsibility of learning how to take care of horses is a great teacher.

My review is directed toward the misinformation and half truths spread by one, Lynn Lambo. Ms. Lambo has provided reviews to discredit HorseSisters as this organization struggles to maintain their donor base so essential to all charities. As stated by Ms. Lambo she does indeed spend an inordinate amount of time maintaining a Facebook group dedicated to presenting HorseSisters in a negative light. There are a handful of members of this “group” page and it seems Ms. Lambo does the lion’s share of posting, with no check and balance as she chooses who and who is not a member. Basically, no one challenges her. With that said, HorseSisters is a charity which survives on donations. Ms. Lambo attacks HorseSisters’ work to secure donors. Why? These donations provide the necessary funds to care for the horses Ms. Lambo so emphatically states she worries about. ??? Ms. Lambo, though not participating in any feeding or other care of these animals, presents the horses as “food insecure.” One has to ask, “how would she know?” What intimate knowledge could she possible have? ??? According to public records, three horses were removed from HorseSisters and a Fit to Own hearing held by Brevard County. One was returned, and even as admitted by Ms. Lambo, was “deemed healthy” by the Court. The other two horses were of advanced age and were “remanded” to the individuals who were in the process of adopting them. For those who don’t understand the legal term Remand… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remand_(court_procedure) Based on the definition, it is obvious that by remanding the horses to the care of the adopters, the Court was taking the animals from the care of Brevard County Animal Services and placing them BACK IN THE CARE of the adopters. The Court, citing the financial difficulties facing HorseSisters, did not remove any horses from their care but in fact, found HorseSisters FIT TO OWN. To ensure the correctness of the decision, the Court allowed Brevard County Animal Services to monitor HorseSisters for a period of one year. That has been several months ago and no adverse actions have been instituted against HorseSisters to date meaning…. THE HORSES ARE BEING CARED FOR. Therefore, it is my position that Lynn Lambo is single handedly blocking donations to HorseSisters based on misinformation which, in addition to reducing funds to the charity, also has served as interference to the investigative function of Brevard Animal Services in contradiction to Order of Judge Friedland and the law. Lynn Lambo’s actions to interfere with this charity have created the false appearance of failings on the part of HorseSisters but even with the set backs, they have persevered and continue to move forward. Lynn Lambo appears to live in a world where she believes herself the moral compass by which we all must live. She appears to not be able to recognize that others have benefited from this charity and that many people would like for the charity to continue its operations absent her interference, including with the lawful processes designed to reveal the truth and justice. Where I come from, this is called DELUSION, Ms. Lambo.

I am a retired police officer. I am embarrassed by the comment posted by Firefighter Mike. The fact that he uses his public office, via his icon, to vilify a private non-profit horse rescue is positively disgusting. Mike states that he “turned around at the gate because the place did not look legit and the lady who promised to be there was not there at the time we agreed upon”. Doesn’t look “legit”. What was he expecting, Cinderella’s Castle? This is a non-profit horse ranch and anyone possessing a third brain cell would realize that. He turned around at the gate. How does that qualify him to know one single thing about this rescue? The lady that wasn’t there to meet him the very second he appeared at the gate, her name is Clairese. She is a woman in her late 50’s with a heart condition and mobility problems. Way to go Hero Mike. I don’t know what kind of comment she made regarding his parenting skills but I can assure you that the way he acted in front of his children taught them that they should behave this way as well. This rescue has been under attack by a small group of malignant people including a couple of government employees in retaliation for Clairese’s refusal to accept wrongdoings. Hmm I wonder if this firefighter knows any of them. Now I will tell you the truth. I know Clairise through another rescue. She has demonstrated integrity. She is truthful. She has a heart bigger than Canada when it comes to taking care of animals. The worst thing she has done has been to reach out to ask for help when she was low on fundraising income to care properly for these animals. Instead of helping her she was attacked. At some point this horrible behavior will result in enough damage to warrant a tort action against individuals. I will lead the fundraising effort for this if it becomes necessary. I am that furious!

Pleased to see that the community is stepping up and helping this organization. With the influx of support they have been able to provide the care the horses have required and volunteers are working hands on with them. They may be room for them to potentially expand and help additional horses with support! Please I strongly encourage you to go to an Open House event and see all the horses and then discuss how you can help them prosper. Personal visits are very inspiring and will motivate you to take personal action! The ranch is open once a week and I promise it will be worth your time!

I have NEVER seen a more CARING and COMPASSIONATE group of people. There first priority is the horses and just like any other Rescue of any kind from time to time they need your help with volunteers and donations but that is just todays economy. Whenever another person is having hard times we should NOT tear them down but help lift them up. Instead of listening to any of these reports bad or good we/you should go out and lend a hand!

Horse Sisters are such caring folks not just for horses, animals but also for the humans who care for animals. When it comes to the care of their horses or any creature in their care the love and devotion is awesome. I am proud and honored to be associated with this devoted organization.

sometimes we need to look at the facts to determine the truth. i have followed the case of Horsesisters and assessed the information given by both sides . last year this group was sited for neglect of the horses by people who seamed to have vendeta against them. there was a couple of horses that looked really bad in the group. pictures told the story of serious problems . was it from neglect ? i think not! and courts also found no reason to believe there was . the big clencher was the bloodwork done on horses. it was found that there were problems but not from lack of feeding . this is an emotional thing , if you believe something is starving you get quite alarnmed ! but there are sick and old animals in hospitals and under the best of care that eventually look pretty ruff dispite tbut also he best of care. some cases call for euthainisa , some for paicent waiting as individual goes thru ups and downs but in the end everything dies. i believe that this is a organization that needs and deserves help. not only do i go by what the courts found but by a very telling viedo of ac trying to pick up a horse , load it in too small a trailer by staff obivously not horsemen and for no reason that i could see except the person in charge pulling rank. . if intrested in this case please contact them personally and look into all the drama which has been documented and preserved as evidence of the inocents of threir actions . if you have doubts call the director and hear her side. also one of the unfounded points was the horse in question was not given vet and denist care , really ? There just so happened to be pictures and vet/denist bills to prove otherwise. really this is in the past and i hate to even bring it back up but it has been brought up on this form by others . there have been numerous months since then that these horses and group has been inspected randomly by county and no breach of care has been sited. my oppion is only one but i hope its weight is put on the side of pro for horsesisters . they really want to help the clients and take care of their horses, with this bad publisity and the economy on the space coast of florida they could use some positive support.

I joined the board of HorseSisters because I believe in what they do and wish to do with more donations. This is a 100% volunteer organization, which means 100% of all donations goes to the operation of HorseSisters' Common Sense Ranch, the thrift store and all programs. HorseSisters is also dedicated to being a carrying and contributing member of the community. I could easily have moved on to a non-profit that isn't struggle as hard, in these economic times, but HorseSisters is where I want to be, struggles and all. Unfortunately, like many rescues, we have detracters, so I ask everyone interested in knowing more to go to our website, Horsesisters.org and come out to the ranch and see for yourself. I have no doubt, you will fall in love with the horses and the organization just as I have.

Gotta hate the haters. Horse rescue is a thankless job. The horses come in starved, sick. Many do not ever fully recover from the abuse and neglect perpetuated on them by their 'owners' that required that intervention in the first place. 100,000 plus never make it to rescue every year. They end up on the slaughter truck to Mexico or Canada where they meet horrific deaths. But the dogooders who b_tch wholesale and bigtime about the rescues not living up to their expectations is what really galls me. Rescues have to solicit funds that could be called begging when times get tough, and sometimes the funds are not always there, it can get dicey. But the naysayers are real quick to snoop and report, and do real damage to support their opinions, when they could have just given an extra few bucks for a bale of hay. This is one more nonprofit, who's out there taking responsibility for a lot of animals, who relies on donations to survive. Yes, to help them SURVIVE. And in HorseSisters concerned care are animals, animals that have become unwanted. And where will these animals go - to the dogooders homes - ? How about dog food, ppl. Get a grip, naysayers. Support for HorseSisters is a support for honorable rescue.

As a current Board Member as well as someone professionally trained in caring for animals this is definitely a top notch horse rescue. The care the horses receive is absolutely world class - and I am one who knows what that looks like on a professional basis. It has been my experience, over the years, that those that do animal rescue and care put their heart an soul into it - and there are always those that find them easy prey for criticism for their own profits, fame, or vanity. These folks just seem to be driven to destroy, and it's sad because they detract from the work. That is when the animals themselves are again victimized at the hand of humans. In light of best efforts to destroy, I am very proud to say that Horsesisters has chosen to stand talk an continue their work, tirelessly, thanklessly and at times with limited ( but ample) resources - truly a labor of love and commitment. Even Despite the best efforts of those that would rather throw stones than assist in any way, the horses are doing VERY well and continue to thrive. Some have had illnesses - and that it so be expected - who has not had an animal get sick from time to time - or even die - it happens and such is the circle of life. But, at Horsesisters it's not due to any human lack or wrong doing. The horses are always regularly fed twice per day, and they get attention, love and mental stimulation on a regular basis. More, I dare say, than many other horses in private care would ever see. The public is always welcome to visit on Thursdays for "Horse Happy Hour" to interact with and provide additional stimulation to the horses as well as the ability to see for themselves what happens at this marvelous rescue ( and perhaps, to learn a little as well). The good doesn't stop there however. It is not uncommon at all to find people with disabilities or emotional issues at the ranch as their interaction with the horses assists and dovetails with other therapies for the greatest impact on the lives of so many. Children are also a great focus of this non-profit ranch - encouraging groups such as 4H to participate with ranch horses and on ranch property. Funding ALWAYS goes to the care of the horses - not only for their feed and hay, but also such necessities as dental and hoof care, veterinarian care and immunizations. If there were any misappropriation of funding as some would have people to believe - this simply would not happen. I have seen when a horse is not doing well in the morning - the horse going to the Vet by the afternoon whenever that is appropriate. I have cared for, ridden, and loved the horses at Horsesisters and I can tell you that if there was anything amiss - I would be the FIRST to speak up and make that known far and wide. We have lost too many good rescues to this type on non-sense, and I am determined that Horsesisters will be here for many generations to enjoy and make a difference in the lives of horses AND the lives of people.

At a young age I grew up with difficulties at home and school. I began volunteering for Horsesisters and I am please to share that this group had helped me learn responsibility and show love for animals as well as other human beings. The entire group is much like a family, and I am thankful for each and everyone moment shared with them. They really turned my life into the right direction!

Horsesisters is one of the most dedicated local charities i know. I am happy to help them with hay donations etc anytime I have extra funds. For Horsesisters helping Horses and Children is a lifestyle. They belong on the 2012 top rated list!

I've been visiting and volunteering with horse sisters off and on for close to 15 years now. I've only ever had good expieriences in a caring, committed and team oriented enviornment. Everyone that works with horse sisters; whether its volunteering, donating or just stopping by with a bag of carrots has a special place in their heart for each and every one of the animals housed and rehabilitated at horse sisters. The animals get top notch care, while giving back to the community through special needs children and adults, pony rides, and many, many other ways. I wouldn't keep coming back and referring people to the non-profit if I didn't agree with their actions. With all of my equine expierience, I can say this is a worthy place to help out.

I am absolutely honored to help HorseSisters and the mission they are accomplishing in saving the lives of very abused horses. In my time knowing HorseSisters, I have NEVER seen a more CARING and COMPASSIONATE group of people. For people to be DISGRACING their name is beyond me. How many of you have actually been to the farm???? How many of you HAVE ACTUALLY helped this non profit??? Lynn 24...who do you think you are?? I bet I have a faint idea of who you are. A disgruntled person who has followed others in an attempt to bash her ratings. IT wont work, because those of us who truly know HorseSisters knows that the lies on here are simply that...LIES. Stand behind rescues, NOT in front of them you morons!!!! HorseSisters is as honest as the day is long. They work hard doing everything they can for the horses. The children absolutely LOVE her so what are you talking about???? This is a great organization for volunteers, a very nice learning experience for anyone who has passions for horses. The interaction between HorseSisters and the children is something that the parents all love to see and walk away happy after the experience. to put it simply any one that wants to give good hard earned money should ride out and see horsesisters horses,i did and after i saw how they are being kept for my self. and my daughter that used to live right by them used to have many problems with these same horse's breaking out and coming in her yard to eat.now anyone that knows anything about horses know they will not break out that much unless they are hungry.and when my daughter tried to call someone she knew that had a horse out there to let them know,she was cussed out by Mrs.Clairese. i was in fear that my 3 year old grand daughter or some of the other little children would get ran over by these horses.i my self along with my husband have gone by horsesisters more then a few time,and i my self see a decline in a lot of horses out there.i would say do go out and see for you self before you give anyone money.check them out for yourselves as i did.to me horsesisters is weakly ran,i feel my heart breaking for these poor animals.

I work with Dr.Craig Roberts an equine veterinarian in Gainesville Florida that specializes in lameness and soundness in horses. Clairese approached us wanting an evaluation of her main carriage horse Thunder, to assure his soundness and ability to do the work asked of him, and to be confident he was doing fine and well. He passed his exam and all radiographs with flying colors. The care and responsibility to her animals well being was wonderfully apparent by her seeking out this professional evaluation and asking for the guidance and direction to keep him healthy and happy in his job. These actions far exceeded what most horse owners do for their working or performance animals.

I do not understand why something that happened in May is being brought up again if you people are all so concerned instead of trying to descredit them why dont you get off your assssss and volunteer and or donate. They are trying they may not have a perfect farm but how are they to survive and help horses if you try to get donations taken away.. If I was closer I would volounteer and I would help to the best I could. Yes maybe at times people maybe take more than they could handle that always isnt the answer but for crying out loud the spca came in and too the old guy and he died if any of you have any brains the stress on a old horse and virus that could be on the trailers the spca doesn't know crap about horses in my opinion and do they disinfect there trailer doubt it. You all need to get a life and stop stalking this rescue get of your asses and do something productive!!! like HELP!!!!!

I AM HONORED TO WRITE A REVIEW......MS. AUSTIN AND HER STAFF HAVE BEEN NOTHING BUT SUPORTIVE OF OUR RESCUE AND MYSELF PERSONALY FOR MANY YEARS. CLARISE HAS BEEN VERY KIND TO US. I FEEL THAT THOSE THAT FIND FAULT IN WHAT OTHERS ARE DOING IS A DISGRACE. WHILE I HAVE NOT BEEN THO THIS FACILITY, MY SISTER HAS. THIS FACILITY, LIKE MANY OTHERS IN THE COUNTRY IS STRUGGLING. I ALSO HAVE SEEN THE PICTURES POSTED BY SOME OF THE PEOPLE POSTING NEGATIVE COMMENTS AND I HAVE ALSO SEEN THE ONES MY SISTER HAS TAKEN.......PICTURES LIKE WORDS CAN BE TAKEN OUT OF CONTEXT. ANGLE, LIGHTING, DISTANCE.......MS. DIBBLE HER SELF HAS HAD SICK ANIMALS THAT WHERE NEVER CARED FOR. WHEN MY SISTER WAS THERE SHE FOUND NOTHING OF SERIOUS CONCERN. THE HORSES WERE CARED FOR, HER STALLS WERE CLEAN THE TROUGHS WERE CLEAN AND THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY......MY SISTER MADE A SURPRISE VISIT SO THERE WAS NO SET UP FOR THIS VISIT. I THINK IT IS A SHAME THAT PEOPLE HAVE TO SPEND THEIR TIME FINDING FAULT IN WHAT OTHERS ARE DOING......NO ONE IS PERFECT. NOT EVEN MS. DIBBLE. I WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM SENDING AN ANIMAL TO HER FOR TRAINING. I WOULD HOW EVER NEVER SEND ONE TO MS. DIBBLE. PLEASE PEOPLE MOVE ON AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN. LEAVE THIS FAMILY ALONE AND LET THEM DO WHAT THEY DO BEST. CARE FOR ANIMALS.

Horses are not cared for, never brushed or hooves checked. Never loved. No grass for grazing. Receive 1 cup of beet pulp a day, and maybe a flake of hay to share one time a day. Owner is loud, rude, refuses to accept any criticism. People have inquired about adopting a horse and she refuses. Overall, just one big sad situation where the horses are suffering.

Watched them try to train a horse to Pull a cart, They almost killed a man ! No this group is better off closed down.

I actually LIVE right here in the neighborhood where these horses are housed. I can visualy SEE the ammounts of feed and care these horses have received and have taken many photos of such to back up all my statements. All my photos are time and date stamped for proof and saved on Disc's and now Flash Drives. I have seen over 20 plus horses die over these 8 years with owner knowing and visually watching them down with colic. NO Veternarian was ever called and NO help was personally given to the horse. Not even the effort was put forth to try to get horse up and walk it. They are treated as "Dispensable Animals". Not ONCE has the owner fed a horse by herself, ran water from a hose into tanks to refill their water supply, brushed or groomed ONE horse. NOTHING. NIL. NOTTA. I have heard her lose her temper and go off into screaming vile vulgar attacks onto volunteers and also me. I watched them take one horse showing the signs of colic, rope it off into a stanchion with water and hay and leave it there as they drove off. The following morning it laid dead where it fell over the rope enclosure. These horses are by nature, grazing animals. They are housed on sugar sand lots. All grazing is bare sugar sand mixed with weeds and plants of Lantana and Poke Weed. At the present time their diets consist of 2...yes TWO cups of grain mixed with beet pulp in the mornings. This cup used for serving the horses resembles a older A&W Rootbeer mug with a false bottom. Keep in mind that is NOT a regular SCOOP that ranges in sizes of 1 QUART or more. Late afternoon they receive a flake of hay off a bale. Their fencing is supposed to be hot wire, but NO electric or batteries run to it. They stick their heads thru the wire spaces to chew on what grass they can get on the outside. Constant pressure eventually snaps the wire and they are free to roam the neighborhood and roadways.. Sheriffs Dept. has been called so many times that counts of times have been lost. Vet care and Farier care has recently been started because of many complaints from general public and animal services getting involved. But that has also been rare. NOT done on a regular basis. What Rescue must be FORCED into giving care to the animals under the owners care?? That is something a Rescue just does within their guidelines of being a rescue. This is NOT a rescue, just a death trap for many. Humane euthanizing would have been better!! Donations?? Certainly not used towards proper care of these horses so I question "just exactly WHERE does it go"?

I love this organization. The people in it are wonderful, the horses are well taken care of, the volunteers are highly trained the land is beautiful. I've been here once or twice and I always try to do whatever I can. People's vendetta against Horsesisters is completely unjustified and I feel it hurts me personally. It's unfair, and if there is any animal cruelty going on it's by the people claiming that the owners and volunteers maltreat the horses. This is the first ever ranch I've been to, and the only one that I truly feel at home at. Anyone who says that this organization is a sham is a cruel, hateful person who has nothing better to do with their lives but hurt the beautiful creatures aided by Horsesisters. Shame on them, and may the sun continue shining on Horsesisters everyday.

This is my first year as an affiliate with both 4-H and HorseSisters, however, I honestly believe that the volunteers and members are all good, kind hearted people that you won't find anywhere else. I find it shameful that their image is tarnished by others due to their pure hatred or vendetta against this nonprofit organization. I may not know the original history behind them; nor am I going to pry on it, but for the most part because of what is going on, most people won't give us a second glance. I find that appalling because of the bad reputation that was given. Such ignorance... Anyways, enough ranting. Overall, HorseSisters is a great organization. So, before you go and judge, get to know them better before anything; Don't judge a book by it's cover!

I feel like I have lost my Big Sister♥, the horses have lost an Angel and all the kids and volunteers have lost a leader full of love and compassion. Shame on haters.

Horsesisters is my first ranch I ever visited, since then I've seen many others but none quite like Horsesisters. Not only are the horses well cared for but they're lovable beautiful creatures! The staff and volunteers are amazing, kind-hearted people that i'm extremely glad I was able to meet. Horsesisters will always be my favorite ranch and first choice.

I guess I still do not ubderstand why these people want to tell lies and be so hurtful and cruel. What do they get out of this. The only ones hurting in all this is the animals and the very people who do all they can to help them. What is wrong with you people just leave this poor women alone to take care of her horses and help the people she helps. are you that jealous of her that you would rather see these beautiful horses killed or sold at auction to a kill buyer. I mean really my gosh this is suppose to be adults here. I have been there and seen these hosres and seen the care she gives or trys when not being harrased by stupid vindictive people.leave them all alone and go pick on prisoners or pedifiles.I mean really stop it

We are so blessed to be a part of the Horsesisters family. What a great organization it is. We have been volunteers for over two years now. Anyone who truly knows this nonprofit knows what wonderful care and love these horses receive. Our experience volunteering has brought an abundance of joy into our lives. Horsesisters is a wonderful asset to our community and the people who take advantage of what they have to offer. Thank you Claiese and Ron for continuing to care for these magnificant creatures!

Clairese and her volunteers work tirelessly to do all the things we all wish we could do. Help the sick and abandoned animals that no one else will take in. She and her family spend endless amounts of time and money with far too little help. She and her family and volunteers have my undying gratitude and respect. Even though she is under constant scrutiny from the authorities who invest too much time investigating unfounded complaints from anonymous sources, HorseSisters continues to do their best to help the unwanted and abused animals with their own funds and far too little help. God bless Clairese Austin and HorseSisters. This world is a better place because they're in it.

Horsesisters participates in a number of community activities, including mentoring highschool students through their senior projects. I have seen firsthand powerful final projects and witnessed highschool students' perspectives transformed through working with Horsesisters and Clairese. The students learn the value of nonprofits and of volunteering firsthand and Clairese gives them guidance and teaches them accountability.

Volunteers have declined. Donations have slowed. Horses are losing weight. As of tonight the executive director posted on Facebook that she is shutting the doors. I pray that ALL the horses find new homes and can be safely rehabbed and retrained.

I would never donate a dollar to this organization. There are many more truly WORTHY organizations that deserve my hard earned dollars. Like the previous poster stated, she is always quick to blame others for her faults, and is also very quick to threaten legal action when you question her judgment. Like I said before, there are many legitimate therapeutic facilities in our country, and also so many hardworking rescues that deserve our dollars. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE DONATING!

First and foremost the last financial listed here is from 2007......only listing "total revenue" and "total expenses". Nothing on where and how much went to who or what. How much does the Executive Director (C. Austin) pay herself? How much does each board member pay themselves? Who are the board members? C. Austin stated on the stand in court (03/29/2012) that it takes $700 a week to feed the 28 horses she currently has on 10 - 14 acres, that equals $36,400 a year (2012), that leaves around $50,000 unexplained (2007). I do realize there are expenses but than why are they not listed? If this organization truly had the horses best interests as a priority, the Horse sister Organization would not be having these issues. C. Austin is like a child, always pointing the finger at someone else.....never accepting responsibility for her lack (abuse) of management, with horses and financials. She talks the talk, but the people she refers too never come to defend her........she does not walk the walk. I have been to this facility and I have heard horror stories from many different people. In my opinion, and yes Clairese, I am entitled to have an opinion, you are truly a disgusting human being taking advantage of peoples good hearts and finances. People, wake up, get this woman away from any kind of animal.

I just recently became a volunteer at HorseSisters. I knew the first time I visited the ranch that I wanted to be a part of this organization. What a wonderful and caring group of people. The horses are beautiful and they are loved and well cared for. As many others have also stated, I feel very peaceful when I visit. People helping horses and horses helping people…I can’t think of more worthwhile cause.

HorseSisters is a part of my heart. I don't donate to just anyone, but I do donate to HorseSIsters on a monthly basis and volunteer when I am able. Not just anyone can care for horses especially draft horses, but HorseSisters not only cares, but gives these wonderful animals the respect and love that they deserve. Many horses need to have a "job" to feel completed and HorseSIsters works not only to love the animals, care for them, but also to make them a part of a larger family or Herd. As a disabled woman, I have been welcomed into the HorseSisters "herd" and have been given a chance to love and be loved by these magnificent anmals and those who care for them.

I can say I have been there many times. I bring my Daughter out for riding lessons. The place is a breath of fresh air. The horse's are all well cared for. You can tell they have very loving family's. The best part about going too the ranch is the peace I feel there. My daughter is learning how to be kind, caring, responsible,loving and so much more. I'm so glad that I pushed myself out of my house and became a member. My daughter and I love the feeling we get everytime we go.. Thank you Clairese & Ron

We adopted our horse from HorseSisters over two years ago and found this organization to be wonderful!! Everyone involved in this group has the interest of the horse first and shows lots of love and care to every animal on the property. I am so glad that we found this agency and can spread the word about them; if you are nearby, become a volunteer and find out how much love a horse (or 18) has to share!
