Act-Today is an amazing non profit serving our autism families in our community along with the military. They do great work to help our families in need!
This organization knows how challenging it can be to raise a child with autism, and they want to help as many families as they can. The treatments and services for autism are very expensive, and many families have to make difficult decisions about how best to help their children. ACT Today's goal is to help all families impacted by autism. They work hard to raise awareness, provide valuable information, and raise funds in order to help pay for needed treatments and services for families all across the country. There's no better feeling than knowing that you can be a part of helping a family feel better about overcoming their challenges.
I have had the privilege of serving as executive director of this non-profit for over a decade. We are one of the few autism organizations that gives direct support to families for treatment and care. There are many other autism organizations that provide research and awareness but what families want and need is real help -- treatment -- for their children today!
I have been working very closely with nonprofits for more than 10 years. Having been appointed with an operations position for them has been very rewarding. They receive more than $1 million in grant requests per quarter and from the top, each board member and staff desires to fulfill a grant for every grant family.
ACT Today is one of the only nonprofits that serves families directly with product and treatment services. While most ASD nonprofits provide only awareness and research - both very important services for the cause, families have the opportunity to apply for a grant from ACT Today for funding assistance through a wide-range of unique programs.
ACT Today serves all communities throughout the US and provides a dedicated fund for military families impacted by autism.
On a personal level, there is a deep satisfaction receiving letters and emails from happy and grateful families who have received a recent grant.
Excellent organizations that care about families impacted by autism. Their goal is to raise awareness and provide families with grants to cover the expenses they encounter. Families can apply to receive help with ABA therapy, service dogs, safety items like GPS devices or a fence, and communication devices like iPad's. Their goal is to help a child/adult on the spectrum reach their full potential.
