Most CASA cases involve children of parents with addiction problems. The chidren are often neglected and try to get by any way they can. The children rarely understand what a normal, healthy life really is. Each case focuses on what is best for the children involved and getting them to a safe healthy place. That sometimes means moving them numerous times to find the right place. Siblings are sometimes separated though everything possible is done to put them together. As a CASA, my favorite part is visiting the children. Even after all they have been through they still trust adults. Most are still full of smiles and will play with toys and games. Their little worlds have been turned upside down but they actually get to act like children and feel safe. Through it all though they still love their parents. There are no perfect endings in the cases. The ending are always bitter sweet. It's hard to know if you really did enough to help the children. I believe that these children can't have too many people watching over them. I am proud to be one of those people.
NE Texas CASA has awesome staff who truly care about the children's welfare. They are always having training opportunities and are very supportive of the volunteers. Its an honor to volunteer for such a worthwhile organization.
I am a CASA volunteer. It has been my experience through working several cases that I am able to make a positive impact on the youngsters lives. We were foster parents for several years, but were unable to continue. I would highly recommend anyone with a desire to help children contact our local office. The people there are absolutely fantastic.
I have been on the board of CASA for several years now, and time and time again, I see how much of a positive impact this organization makes in our community!
Being an advocate of CASA of Northeast Texas allows me to show my love for the well being of a child! There are many children in our community who need someone to be their voice, because they many times cannot speak up for themselves. I wholeheartedly believe that we as community have a responsibility and can make it happen one child at a time!
The local CASA staff provides the training and support needed for anyone who has a love for children and wants to see them thrive in the best situation possible!
If you are willing to use your voice to speak up for a child, I encourage anyone who has a love for children of all ages, races and social economic backgrounds to contact your local CASA organization!
I am a CASA with Northeast Texas, and this organization is amazing! The executive director and ALL of the staff are such an integral part of protecting the children in our community. Without this program, I do not even want to begin to think about the emotional and spiritual health that these children would endure.
Brandy Eldridge and her team at CASA are simply amazing!! They CARE, not only for the kids, but for their parents and their volunteers!! They strive to go above and way beyond to keep those in their program safe and always have the best interest of the children in mind!!
Northeast Texas Casa, Inc., has been one of the best nonprofit organizations I have ever dealt with in the past 2 years. Being a volunteer for this organization has giving me a better understanding of what it takes to help children in need. I wouldn't want to spend my time anywhere else.
I think CASA is outstanding. Every day,it makes such a difference in the lives of children. I have been a CASA for four years. Our children need help and sometimes we are their only hope for a chance in life.
