I cannot say enough good things about IAHE. They are such amazing stewards and defenders of home education. I have had the opportunity to be a member and volunteer and I am blown away by the level of care at each step. They not only lead in Indiana, they are valued as leaders at the national homeschool level. I highly recommend them in any and all ways.

In 1985, we attended our very first homeschooling event when our first child was 5-years old. It was a special presentation by the IAHE, introducing an auditorium full of parents to the little-known concept of homeschooling. The speaker at that event challenged our thinking about education and changed the trajectory of our home. We continued to attend conventions throughout our homeschooling years, then joined the IAHE as volunteers around 2000. Even though our homeschooling journey with our nine children has ended now that they’re all grown, we have continued to invest our time with this valuable organization, which has remained faithfully focused on helping parents across the state in both parenting and home educating their children. We now see first-hand another generation of parents reap the benefits of the IAHE as our children are supported and encouraged in homeschooling our grandchildren by the tireless work of this organization.

The IAHE has provided me with amazing opportunities to learn about important state legislation that could impact me as a homeschooler. Additionally, I am part of the 2023 intern team and the intern program has taught me to think critically about different homeschool laws and look deeply at the legislation they want to change. I appreciate this organization for how it keeps Christ at the heart of what they do and the difference it is making in the Indiana homeschool community.

I was a 2021 IAHE intern and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I would highly recommend it! I learned so many practical skills such as communication, graphic design, how to write well, and how to analyze homeschool laws in Indiana.
I also came to appreciate so much more the work that the IAHE does to protect homeschooling and provide resources to help parents educate and raise their kids at home. All of the people who volunteer and work with the IAHE give hours and hours of service to help parents and families. They also provide so much information and resources for parents who have questions about homeschooling, are just starting to homeschool, or have already been homeschooling for years! I would highly recommend all of their resources and if you are a high school junior or senior, definitely look into the internship program. It will provide you with skills you will use for the rest of your life!

The IAHE has a long history of serving Indiana homeschooling families. I am proud to be a part of this organization. For years, my family benefitted from what was offered. And now, I get to give back. The IAHE works tirelessly to protect homeschool freedom. They produce amazing resources for families to utilize and their annual conference brings families together from all across Indiana to connect, learn, and grow. A heart of service is what drives the volunteers and the organization as a whole.

My internship experience was incredible. The opportunity to learn all about the many things involved in a nonprofit homeschool association gave me a drive and a passion to learn even more. I came away with skills that will benefit me in my future work. The IAHE volunteers I worked with were inspiring and encouraging.

I am currently part of IAHE's 2023 internship program, and I have learned so much in just a couple months. Not only have I gained some experience working with a nonprofit organization, I've also learned how to evaluate homeschool laws in my state, how to write to a specific audience, and even how to design graphics. There is quite a bit of work involved with this internship, but I'll walk away from the program having gained valuable experience that I can carry with me for the rest of my life.
In addition, I've had the pleasure of seeing the behind-the-scenes work done by IAHE to support homeschooling families, as well as the tireless efforts to protect the right to homeschool. They definitely work to support every family that comes to them, and they provide relevant content to homeschoolers, whether just starting out or a seasoned veteran.
I would definitely recommend utilizing their resources!

In 2018, the decision was made that we would keep our children home to educate them the way we wanted. I attended the IAHE conference in Indianapolis and it was a perfect jumping off point for this new venture. With encouraging speakers, and many vendors I felt confident we had made the right choice.
Now I happily volunteer with the organization , so that I too can be a sound board and resource for those wanting to homeschool. IAHE walks beside parents and students alike to ensure they are not alone. With more and more families making the choice to keep their children home, I am thankful for this organization.

The IAHE serves Indiana homeschool families in numerous ways. From watching legislation that may impact homeschool freedom, to hosting events and producing quality content that encourages and equips families in the home education adventure. I have volunteered with IAHE for a number of years helping with special projects. It is a joy to get to support the work of this great organization as a volunteer.

The IAHE _is_ Indiana's boots-on-the-ground homeschool org. They actively and readily support homeschoolers, they maintain relationships with our government leaders, and they actively defend parental and homeschooling rights.

The IAHE volunteers are always quick to listen to my needs both as a homeschooling parent and as a mom wanting to serve the greater homeschool community. They have so many resources to suggest and offer helpful homeschooling tips and tools.

I'm so grateful for the work they do!

We have served in a volunteer capacity for this organization in past years and now donate to support IAHE. There is great value state-wide for our home school community through educational support, providing a voice to our legislators and guidance for local co-ops / support groups. This is the only group providing this type of service for all of Indiana.

The IAHE has served my family faithfully for many years as we have homeschooled our 5 children here. IAHE volunteers work diligently 365 days a year to protect our homeschool freedom and parental rights. The resources they produce have blessed our family and given us wonderful materials to use. The annual conference has been a highlight of our year for over a decade now—the speakers are fantastic and the workshops are so practical and insightful. We love the IAHE and are very thankful for the work they do here in Indiana.

The IAHE is an amazing organization - we chose to live in Indiana partially due to the great work they do. Serving tireless at the state house, providing solid info on what laws we may follow as homeschoolers as well as best practices… they had made an impact for every homeschooler in Indiana. I love serving with them as well!

IAHE has been instrumental in defending our homeschooling rights in Indiana, and in providing up to date information in confusing areas, as well as providing pertinent aids for homeschooling regardless of the family set up. I grew up as the child of IAHE volunteers, and have benefited in so many ways as an adult now homeschooling my own children - I love serving with IAHE!

IAHE was a resource I used when I first started thinking about homeschooling. They have all the info on what is required by the law to homeschool in Indiana. They also have regional reps across the stat that you can contact for help or find local homeschool support. I have also enjoyed volunteering with IAHE. The volunteer team atmosphere is very uplifting and supportive.

IAHE has been a huge blessing to my family as well as those in my area. The articles, networking, referrals, and support have been invaluable in helping me to homeschool my own children. I appreciate the legislative updates and ideas on the website as well as print media delivered to my home. I appreciate the affordable membership and discounts I can take when a member. I appreciate how this organization is constantly looking at ways to serve as circumstances impact the ability to have larger conference venues.

When we moved to Indiana in 1987, I was a young homeschooling mom with three kids. Finding the IAHE was like a finding a friend, finding help, and finding encouragement all in one! They had a magazine that was full of information and helpful ideas. I began going to their conventions in Indianapolis and it was truly the highlight of my year! The workshops helped me on my way, the vendor hall enabled me to talk with other homeschooling parents and look at curriculum before I bought it, and there was so much encouragement from the only state organization for homeschoolers. They help us understand the state law, and they also work diligently to keep our law as free as it is. They provide a network of regional representatives across the state to help local families. Indiana is a great state to homeschool in, and I credit the IAHE for that!

When we moved to Indiana in 1987, I was a young mom and a new homeschooler. One of the first things I found to help and encourage me was the IAHE state homeschool convention. With workshops, a curriculum fair, and friendly faces, I was able to find the help I needed to understand Indiana homeschool laws, and plan the coming year. As it turned out, I homeschooled 28 years in Indiana, and only missed about 2 state conventions all those years. I also began receiving their free magazine, another way my family was guided and supported. They gave me so many ideas and help through the years that I eventually became a volunteer to help others the way I was helped.

IAHE has been a great encouragement to me on my homeschool journey! When I first started, they provided encouragement and resources to help me gain confidence and be successful. NOw as I continue on the adventure, I continue to feel supported and equipped. My needs with homeschooling high school are different than when I navigated the younger years, but I can always find the information I am looking for when I turn to them. I recommend them to all of my homeschooling friends.

I got involved with the IAHE after attending my first IAHE convention several years ago. They put families first, not only in serving families, but also making sure anyone who volunteers is taking care of their own families first. I appreciate that I am able to decide how much of my time and energy I can give every week to the organization based on what my family needs, too. The IAHE has a high standard of providing clear and accurate information in a format everyone can understand. Their website is one of the most well done websites I have ever come across in my many years of homeschooling and reading homeschool blogs. The depth of knowledge of all their volunteers from the decades of experiences of this long standing organization is not to be missed. If one person doesn't know an answer, someone else usually does. Although I came to this organization already having 10 plus years under my belt as a homeschool mom and being a homeschool grad myself, I have learned even a ton more under the leadership or mentorship of the IAHE and the community it has created. The IAHE is the premiere homeschooling organization in the state of Indiana and is the only one who is willing to go head to toe with the politicians at the state house to continue to fight, as it always has, for homeschool freedoms. I am/was very impressed by this organization, and therefore, it was an easy decision to jump on board as a volunteer.

I found IAHE when we recently moved to Indiana and started homeschooling. Their volunteers are incredibly knowledgeable and thorough when they offer guidance.

They not only provided guidance on the start up process, but ongoing support as well. With all IAHE memberships, you can find local support through their reps and directories of co-ops and support groups.

The IAHE helped my homeschooling journey by providing networking for us to find support with curriculum choices and finding friends via local groups. I later realized the IAHE was also helping my family by protecting my own freedom to home educate my children as I saw fit. I have been able to graduate all four of my children from home education with no fear of government interference. The IAHE has my support forever! Thank you, IAHE volunteers!

When I began my homeschooling journey close to 20 years ago, IAHE was my lifeline! They met me where I was, answered my many questions and were a wonderful encouragement. Over the years, as I became more comfortable with homeschooling, my needs changed - but IAHE remained by my side and continued to encourage me, provide a wealth of resources, and has kept me informed on what is happening in our homeschooling community/state. I can't speak highly enough of this incredible ministry other than to say I don't think I would have stuck with homeschooling had it not been for their amazing support!
