Mission: The TBC provides free access to libary service in alternate formats to all the print-impaired persons in the area who desire service. Recorded books and magazines are the primary vehicle to access, but the TBC also coordinates Braille service and provides some large print materials and descriptive videos.
Programs: The Talking Book Center is a circulating library with general recreational reading books for all ages and interests. Our youngest patron is four years old and our oldest in 102 years young. Over 50% of the talking book patrons are over the age of 60 and 75% have some kind of visual impairment that interfers with reading standard print.
