Safe Harbor Free Clinic.
Saved my father's life, where he was able to continue in an Independent Living Facility.
Our family was in crisis, and Safe Harbor provided his needed care,
while we got my father his needed medical coverage in the USA.
He was overseas, in hospice, and dying quickly;
we brought him to our home here in Stanwood -- with NO medical insurance,
and Safe Harbor doctors enabled him to recover from medical drug chemo overdoses,
and he was eventually able to walk again.
Safe Harbor provided the needed services during this crisis interim,
until we could get my father his coverage/ medical, activated in the USA.
IMMENSE GRATITUDE AND THE DOCTORS HAD HUGE HEARTS...
UNBELIEVABLE REALLY -- HAD WE NOT EXPERIENCED THIS BLESSED ORGANIZATION
AND NONPROFIT. TRULY COMPASSIONATE AND REMARKABLE
IN AN OTHERWISE VERY COLD CULTURE.

The Safe Harbor Free Clinic provides free healthcare to the uninsured, and under-insured, of Island, Skagit, and Snohomish County. Being a part of this organization enables me to make a difference in my community in a way that saves lives, improves quality of life, and touches people's hearts. It is not unusual for exit interviews with patients to mention how respected and well-cared for people feel when they come to Safe Harbor Free Clinic. The fact that our clinic respects each person's dignity, cares deeply, and provides professionally for the health needs of each individual that comes through the doors... that is what makes this one of the best volunteer experiences I've ever had.
