The Rainbow Network

There are a lot of small nonprofits making huge differences. This is one that deserves a whole lot of credit for helping to physically build communities and improve the quality of lives in an area that can desperately use it. A strong team with a strong desire to do their part.

The Rainbow Network is a wonderful nonprofit in large part because of the model they follow. They assist rural villages of Nicaragua in becoming self sufficient through individual sponsorships of high school students, partnerships with families invested in building their own homes and a loan program so that members of the communities can start a small business. They are also a Christian organization whose employees pray to and praise God for His blessings as they strive to help all the people that they can. I have sponsored two students through the Rainbow Network and I truly enjoy our Zoom meetings and letters as we write to each other throughout the years.

I support the Rainbow Network because of their wholesome cause and the dedication of the incredible people that run the non-profit.

My wife and I have really enjoyed coming alongside The Rainbow Network in all that they do to partner with the people of Nicaragua. They are making a difference through student sponsorships, housing projects, and bringing safe drinking water to rural communities. We are excited to be a part of what The Rainbow Network is doing and hope to continue to positively impact the lives of people in Nicaragua.

My church first introduced me to all the amazing work that the Rainbow Network was performing. For the last several years, our church, sent a small group of individuals to Nicaragua to assist in community development through the guidance of the Rainbow Network. These individuals would return to our church and give us the stories about the impact their visits and our donations, made to the supported communities. Those individual stories, the Rainbow Network social media posts and websites have inspired me to support this amazing organization.

Sponsoring a high school student in Nicaragua through the Rainbow Network’s scholarship program has been a wonderful and rewarding experience for me. Establishing a loving, caring and encouraging relationship with my student named Gabriela, has brought much joy to both of us. Getting to know each other through letters and zoom meetings has been very gratifying. The two of us have established a special friendship which we each truly treasure. I love learning about Gabriela’s hopes and dreams for her future and that she loves school and learning, especially math.

Gabriela has shared with me several times that she hopes and prays someday we could meet each other in person and how she would love to give me a big hug. In July of this year God answered Gabriela pray. Through Rainbow Network, I was blessed to be able to go to Nicaragua along with seven other members of my church. I got to spend precious time with Gabriela, which was very heartwarming. I also got to meet other students and the people in the community of El Chile. The trip was a remarkable opportunity for me to establish relationships with the loving, kind people of rural Nicaragua. It was an incredible experience which I will always cherish. I hope to be able to visit there again some time in the future.

It was amazing to witness first-hand the sincere commitment of all the Rainbow Network staff as they carried out their mission to help rural communities in Nicaragua. I could feel the love and devotion that Megan and her staff has for the Nicaraguan people. Praise be to God.

I am impressed with the work this nonprofit does. I have been a donor for a number of years and am pleased that donors are always thanked and kept informed of where the money goes. There overhead is very small with an admirable amount of their income going to their program.

I love Rainbow Network because of their philosophy of providing a hand up instead of a hand-out. They utilize the people they work with in Nicaragua to provide the in-country leadership instead of sending staff from the United States. They are very transparent with the way they use donations and are always willing to answer any questions I have.

I witnessed the life changing work Rainbow Network is doing during my visit to Nicaragua in early 2023. Upon reflection, it seems that ‘everyone’ associated with them flourishes. The Nicaraguans’ needs are addressed, the Rainbow Network’s staff is happily employed, and volunteers like me are grateful and blessed to participate in ‘the gospel on the ground.’ I’m looking forward to partnering with Rainbow Network again in 2024!

The Rainbow Network is doing amazing work in rural Nicaragua. The are providing the basic needs of clean water, housing, nutrition, and education to those in greatest need. It's amazing that their goal is to move those in need toward eventual self-sufficiency and I've seen it happen. I love working with their staff as they are all obviously very passionate about the mission. I sponsor 2 scholarship students and love that the Rainbow Network has worked out how we can communicate with them virtually - it really keeps me engaged with what is going on there. I have traveled with them on 3 separate trips to Nicarauga to see the work they are doing and meet some of the families in communities we sponsor. National staff people will occasionally travel to our fundraisers to show support for what we are doing at our church for their organization. I plan to continue working with them for years to come.

I have been involved in my church's partnership with Rainbow Network since 2015. I have visited Nicaragua 4 times with my 5th trip coming up and have sponsored several high school scholarship students. I have had the great experience of co-leading a trip and through that, have really come to appreciate all the hard work that Rainbow Network does and the way that they do it. I love the idea that they are in Nicaragua, for Nicaragua and by Nicaraguans. Since my church has had a long-term partnership with Rainbow Network, I have been able to see how the staff is always striving to look for the best ways to equip the people of rural Nicaragua with the tools they need to be able to help themselves attain self-sufficiency. Their model to approaching poverty alleviation will continue to be successful due to the hard work and dedication of the staff from the top on down. It continues to be a great honor and privilege for my church to partner with Rainbow Network.

I have had the privilege to work with Rainbow Network on several levels. I sponsor 2 students who I have been able to meet. I am also the Missions Director for a large church that is on our 6th housing project with RN. We have been working with RN for over 10 years.
I have spent many hours with the RN team working on different projects and I have also made 2 trips to Nicaragua with my 3rd planned for January.
RN is the one nonprofit that I know almost as well as the church I work for. The transparency is incredible and the team is professional and hardworking. In a world where you are always hearing about nonprofits misusing funds, not to mention that I am a bit skeptical of most to begin with,I know that is not a worry here. The level of trust I have is on the highest level and the work being done is life changing. And the way RN operates is so unique. Instead of a bunch of Americans who have never lived in rural Nicaragua telling Nicaraguans what they need and how that should look, they ASK and work with the people of Nicaragua to assess their actual needs.

Always finding new ways to help those that need help. An organization that love the people they are helping. They make sure the donation are used for the people of Nicaragua and not for a large overhead So glad I am a part of this outstanding nonprofit

I was able to work with The Rainbow Network when I was finishing my Master’s Degree in Nonprofit. They so generously allowed me to do my capstone project about their organization. From learning the behind-the-scenes that TRN is doing, I was absolutely blown away by their programming. They could be a model nonprofit for many organizations, nationally and internationally. They are using their resources effectively and impacting people in practical ways. Their internal communication is phenomenal. A donor can truly trust TRN to use their money wisely. I am impressed with how committed TRN has been, despite many obstacles that are outside of their control. I could go on and on, but in all, this is one of the most impressive Nonprofits that I have been able to get to know.

Rainbow Network is one of the best organizations I have ever been involved with. They are completely transparent about their fund raising and financing and serve so many people in Nicaragua. I’ve been there to witness first hand how donations are spent and was so impressed. Rainbow is an excellent opportunity to invest in-they truly live out the mission life!

My church has been involved with Rainbow (RN) from it's beginning. Our church sent a work team there to build on houses, and several teams have gone since, we've paid for building a village, and along with many others collect and send two containers a year there with needed items. Well over 100 students are supported. It is without a doubt one of the best non-profits around as Nicaraguans are involved in the process and carry out the ministry while RN raises funds and lifts up the special needs, medical, dental, etc. of the rural poor. A well rounded ministry with building villages, providing education, health care, and microloans. It is truly a self help program and deserves recognition.

My family sponsors 2 students through Rainbow Network. They are a wonderful organization in meeting the needs of the rural Nicaraguan citizens. They provide homes, education, healthcare, and micro loans, all while teaching independence and allowing the people in the community to grow and learn how to care for themselves and families. My daughter and husband spent a week on a healthcare trip with the Rainbow Network. It was life changing for both of them.

I have been involved with The Rainbow Network for about 15 years and have never failed to be impressed with the great work that they do with the poor in rural Nicaragua and the way they do it on such a tight budget. I have been to Nicaragua to see the work several times and can tell you firsthand that this organization truly empowers individuals and communities to succeed on their own terms. They have a holistic program -- healthcare, education, housing and economic development -- that requires genuine personal involvement and responsibility. In a country that has had such a difficult history (and present!), especially for the poor, Rainbow Network has been a true light. They are faith-based, but require no religious commitment, nor do they work with just one church or denomination. They are simply following the Golden Rule -- Do Unto Others...

We just attended the 20th Anniversary Celebration Rainbow Network had. It is amazing how much what they have accomplished in the past 20 years in rural Nicaragua. Seeing the pictures of those lives being changed and the stories of lives changed with so little, just amazes me.

I definitely recommend anyone that wants to be a part of changing lives (not only others but yours too) go on one of their trips to see the works of Rainbow Network in action. You will never be the same!

What a wonderful experience I have had the last 4 years as a sponsor of a young lady in NIcaragua! Through letters to and from her and a mission trip there and meeting her in person, I have been blessed by God's love over and over. Knowing I have helped someone receive an education has enriched my life as well as hers. Rainbow Network is an organization like none other; I thank them for what they do. Now, I am starting the same experience with another student in the same area. I hope to begin communication with him soon. With God's guidance, my life and his will be rewarding.
