This incredible organization has improved my quality of life in so many ways. I am a disabled Vietnan Veteran. Going to Keystone Military Families makes me feel valued and appreciated. Not ashamed of my situation, actually proud of my service. They have changed the way I eat, by giving me healthy foods. If I have a need, like needing medical equipment or even an air conditioner, they do everything they can to help me. They are wonderful people and I enjoy talking and spending time with them. I could not recommend Keystone Military Families more, they do make me feel like family.
I started volunteering at Keystone Military Families about 2 months ago. I am both honored to serve those who have and still are serving our country and blessed to work with such dedicated and caring volunteers. The veterans I thank always say "It's been an honor" which really touches my heart. No complaints and no regrets.
For the organization itself it is amazing how well it is run and how much they do for the military families. Everything from a pantry with food, toiletries, etc. twice a week to helping with household items, pet food, baby items, and are helped with any information needed as far as help with housing, medical, mental health, etc. If Keystone does not know, they get answers.
They also send out monthly care packages to troops overseas which are very much appreciated, help the children of the families with school supplies, send Christmas stockings and cars to soldiers at Christmas time, help the families with holiday meals, and help the kids shop for their parents, as well as have a holiday party for the children.
Kyle, who started this organization when her son was deployed in 2008, is very knowledgeable and caring. She is very involved in all aspects and makes sure things are run by the book. She has grown this charity from a small room to this huge success. I am so proud to be a part of this!
Our demand keeps growing. Won't you help us help our military? Show your appreciation for our freedom and Donate today!!
I am a proud donor to Keystone Military Families. No Acres Farm at Renningers in Adamstown, PA is a small business produce stand in a very busy Antiques market. We are only open on Sunday, so at the end of the day I box up the produce that won't keep and donate it to Keystone Military Families. I also get "tips from customers and donate those $ to purchase other produce that they need each week from farms and auctions, where I know I will get the best quality for a small price. It warms my heart to see the Military Families waiting to shop the Pantry each week, knowing my customers and I I have made a contribution to their wellbeing. To date this year, we have donated over 4,000 pounds of fresh local produce and will continue to donate throughout the year. I hope this post inspires others to find a way to donate to this amazing organization and others like it. I hope it shows what a big difference a small business can make to so many. I would also like to note that the Pantry is clean, well-organized and dignified to serves our Veterans and currently deployed and their families. They also send out 10,000 stockings to our active military every year. It is a great place to give something back!
I work at Whittier High school in Whittier, CA. In 2015 I ask some students if they wanted to write to Christmas card to our active military. Here is the results so far.
2015, 100 cards were sent to your Keystone Military Families
2016, 200 beautiful cards were created
2017, 414 creative, colorful Christmas cards were completed.
2018, 535 personalized, sweet notes were mailed to the Keystone Families
2019, 1,707 high school students were moved to remember our US Military service people.
Thank you for letting us be a part of your organization.
My husband has just recently passed away . Kyle and her crew are the best ever. They are so kind and orderly. Have treated me with dignity. I don't need much help but at this time anything is greatly appreciated......Thanks Kyle and your crew you are the best !
Keystone military families is such a blessing to us! We are able to get groceries and household items which stretches our budget. It is a gift that helps me stay home with my kids! What a wonderful organization run by caring, helpful people.
I have volunteered here a few times and will be looking forward to more on a regular basis. I can say they are, in total, committed and selfless in their goal of helping as many military personnel and families as they possibly can.
When I ran into a little trouble of not being able to feed myself let alone my Daughters. I was able to get what I needed from Keystone Military Families.
We were able to get food, clothes and so cleaning supplies that we needed. We also were able to get Dog food for Our service dogs. Along with cat food and treats.
I was also able to get help through them to help get my electricity turned back on after it ha been turned off for over a month. Because no one else was able to help and we were involved with CYS at the time.
We have been ale to get Our dinners from them for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
My Girls 17, 16 and 15. Were able to get clothes and school supplies from them.
I am So Very Glad to have this agency in Our Lives. Because of them I have been able to have a semi normal Life. At least now when things are rough and no one else are able to help. I know that Keystone Military Families, will be there to help with what they can. Thank You So Very Much.
I've been a client for roughly 6 months, since I began going I've always been treated like family. From groceries to a few household items. I would definitely recommend this place to other amazing veterans.
6 weeks ago I began to volunteer at Keystone Military Families. When I walked in the front door I was completely taken back in amazement. This pantry has it all,if a Vet is hungry,we have the food to feed them,if the Vet needs to be clothed ,we have it,If the Vet needs furniture yes you guessed it,we have it.When it's time for the children for school we have what they need,.Also we are now getting our care packages together for our Vets that are deployed.I would like to give a big shout out to all the GREAT individuals that I volunteer with. I feel humbled to be in the presents in such a great group of people. Thank You.
Keystone Military Families has been there for our family when after paying our bills my husband and I would sit at the kitchen table and think "now what about food this week"....whats left in the house to sell at a pawn shop or to list on Craigslist?....Having young kids makes this even more of a struggle.... Eventually your cabinets and freezer run out of the random canned goods, seasonings and frozen leftovers to even have a base to prepare a well rounded meal for growing children. That's the situation we found ourselves in before googling "free food for veterans" and found Keystone Military Families :) "Thank you" just isn't enough to say to this organization. They are meeting the needs of local veterans and military families in such a wide variety. Needs such as after service members obey their military orders from the government and return home to find themselves in situations like not having enough for food but yet the government cannot offer any help to this service member...seems like a one way streak...Keystone is tuned in to the needs of veterans and their families and making sure that weekly food is at least one less thing to worry about. They understand the hardships military families endure, like living off only one income, medical disabilities, the affects of war on a soldier, how all these different aspects truly have a real impact on the families financial ability to be able to have enough leftover for groceries each week. Sometimes no amount of budgeting or thrifty shopping is just not enough to be able to have enough left over for meals all week. and Keystone gets that. We are forever grateful to these selfless volunteers.
Keystone Military helps Military Familes and Veterans in need. We help with food, clothing, household goods. We will be starting on our Stockings for Soldiers to send to our Military. Kyle will and does everything possible to help with whatever they need.
Had a chance to volunteer today. It was a great experience to be with all of the people who regularly volunteer to help all military personnel and their families in need..active, retired, disabled. They are a great organization who tirelessly work to make the lifes of our military families a little bit easier!
