Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Group Homes, Hospices, Human Services, Residential Care & Adult Day Programs
Mission: "Heart Healing Miniatures" harness the unique power of equine therapy by using specially trained mobile minis for meaningful client visitations, where we deliver supportive comfort care to individuals and their caregivers.
Results: Proven benefits include the lowering of heart rates, blood pressure, PTSD symptoms, anxiety and depression, while mitigating feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Target demographics: Those facing an acute medical or emotional challenge by using the power of equine therapy.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Hundreds of suffering individuals, their loyal caregivers and nursing support staff.
Geographic areas served: The greater Tulsa, OK area (nursing homes, hospice centers, adult day care centers, private homes)
Programs: Service and support to patients and caregivers alike, in both a public or private setting. We will never make a sad situation happy, but we can make is special by providing a comforting diversion for the patient, their families and the support team.
