In the past two years, there have been 7-8 Resident Service Coordinators come and go from pep properties. Management has obviously been problematic. This RSC position is to have daily, in-depth, confidential interactions, conversations with the Senior Residents. This is a position that not only offers assistance in a variety of areas, but needs to gain trust. HUD has a rather substantial list of services that need to be provided for the residents and these have not been provided and the lack of which has not been addressed. HUD requires these services as part of the millions in funds that pep receives. Senior Residents have a variety of needs, and the constant turnover of staff is not serving them properly and upsetting. Residents are leary of bringing up their concerns for fear of retaliation. Residents have written pep offices and received zero response to their concerns, complaints. There definitely is a lack of “community” and “participation” among the residents because of these turnovers. HUD has been notified prior and will continue to be sent information on this disservice to the Senior Residents at Casa Grande Apartments, Edith St. Apartments in particular.

Thank you PEP for your wonderful gifts. You rescued me from homelessness from which I graduated from a bed to a PEP apartment. I was finally able to focus on my health and essential personal needs.

I started working at PEP Housing three years ago, and it was the best decision of my career and in my personal life. When I hear from our residents the positive impact we have in their lives because of something we did, it warms my heart--something as small as delivering small flower vases made by our staff and delivered to every residents as a way to brighten their day as they deal with social isolation or delivering grocery gift cards to our Acacia Lane residents when they had to evacuate during a recent fire and power outage, causing them to lose their perishable food items. The gratefulness of the residents was palpable and moving and real. There are so many reasons I love this company, but mainly, I love it because we truly do "build community from the heart".

No one should be forced to live without the basic necessities and amenities of life. Therefore, PEP's desire to house and help without prejudice or discrimination the victims of unfortunate circumstances and all those in need is commendable. Such organizations should be held in highest esteem and encouraged and aided to continue their good work as much as possible as a blessing to the common welfare. My outlook on life has certainly improved since moving to housing cared for by PEP.

Most affordable housing developers have a wide-array of housing. PEP Housing only provides senior rental housing and is an expert in this type of housing. PEP serves the most vulnerable seniors with limited incomes and provides them "homes" that are beautiful, near services and adaptable so seniors can age in place.
