Mission: Fostering communities of strong women, supported families and safe homes.
Programs: The advocacy program at umbrella provides crisis intervention, ongoing support, and extensive prevention programming in support of our goal of reducing the incidence and impact of domestic and sexual violence. Specific services include a 24-hour crisis hotline, legal advocacy, emergency financial assistance, support groups for children and adults, financial literacy, emergency shelter, information and referral to other appropriate services. Prevention programming includes the development of a community prevention plan addressing sexual violence, school-based programs on topics from body image to consent, and consultation to youth-serving professionals.
kingdom child care connection (kccc) is a child care resource and referral program working to make affordable, high-quality child care available to all families in caledonia and southern essex counties. Services include free child care referrals and consumer education, eligibility determination for families applying to the state's child care financial assistance program, and training, mentoring and support for the area's child care professionals.
the family room supervised visitation program at umbrella provides a safe, child-centered setting in which non-residential parents can establish, rebuild, or maintain relationships with their children.
