Causes: Employment, Job Training
Mission: The purpose of the organization is to assist active duty and veterans and their families in the transition from military to civilian life. The organization is dedicated to providing assistance in the planning, professional development and career placement of service members and veterans throughout their transition period from "combat to corporate".
Programs: Engagement is the act of creating meaningful introductions for intentional career planning and workforce development. Veteran: engagement serves as a basic introduction to a new way of thinking: not only about the next phase of his/her career (out of the military) but in being open to new opportunities. Employer: engagement serves as an introduction to warriors ethos and the opportunity to sponsor a service member in a year-long opportunity that has the potential to change lives.
education involves the sharing of information and instructional/training opportunities. Veteran: education takes place as he/she begins to take the steps necessary to learn what his/her mind and body can do again. . . Away from the military, off the battlefield and in a civilian environment. Employer: education involves gaining an understanding of the overall skill set of the service member, and in providing an atmosphere that allows for trial and error as he/she rediscovers their strengths and capabilities in the civilian workforce.
placement is the act of providing opportunities for success for both the service member and the employer sponsor. Placement has more to do with taking the time necessary to ensure there is a good match of skills, personality and environment than it does with offering someone a job. Veteran: a successful placement is one that leads to a fulfilling and productive career that leads to economic and family stability. Employer: a successful placement is offering a service member with the right skills and attitude for your company a position where he/she can grow, thrive and prosper. Bottom line, it's good for your business.
