Cindy’s Legacy is amazing. It totally fills in the gap for those battling cancer. Their founder is a creative fundraiser, who used the experience of her own’s mom death to help others. If you are looking for a charity to support that is made up of all volunteers making a real difference in people’s life… support them. If you are a person battling cancer, reach out to Cindy’s Legacy because they truly care!

I am the secretary of Cindy’s Legacy and have been on the board since we started in 2011. Cindy was my mother who we lost to cancer, and my sister (President of Cindy’s Legacy) had the amazing idea to carry on her legacy by helping other cancer patients in need. It has been an honor to watch and be a part of the growth of our non-profit. From providing support to bringing people together, we have been able to raise money to help so many people in need. With each testimony I grow more and more proud of what we have been able to accomplish. I can’t wait to see what else we can do!

I currently volunteer with this extraordinary non profit! They work incredibly hard to help everyone they can. They are very knowledgeable and unfortunately due to an incredible loss, they have the personal experience many large non profits may lack. They make their recipients feel a large sense of consideration & thoughtfulness! Very excited for the work they are doing, having lost my uncle to lung cancer last year, I saw firsthand the struggles and expenses that pile up quickly, many everyday expenses have to be sacrificed for proper medical care and seeing these guys step up to help out with those is amazing. Very worthy cause and every Dollar truly does help, so if your fortunate and blessed enough to have some spare funds to put forth, nobody will put it to better use!

I am the founder and board president of Cindy's Legacy. The organization was founded in 2011 after the death of my mom, Cindy. She had cancer, and this was our families first experience dealing with the world of cancer. Not only did we have to focus on the cancer itself but along with it came an avalanche of issues related to finances, hospitals, Medicaid / Medicare, transportation, work related time off, etc. It was never-ending.

After her death, I vowed that I would do everything in my power to ensure that other families don't have to deal with the financial and administrative stress that cancer can cause. Cancer patients and family members should only have to focus on getting better.

So, we established this organization to help lift some of the burden by providing financial assistance, volunteer hours, and more. We are a young organization with limited funds, but we are doing great things. With the help of our donors and volunteers we are bringing smiles to many faces and relieving a lot of unnecessary stress.

I reached out to Cindy's Legacy when a dear family friend was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was so overfilled with joy when she received a chemo care package the day before her chemo was scheduled to begin. It was full of thoughtful and useful items she could use during chemo and products that helped with the effects of chemo treatment. She is currently doing well and had completed her treatment!!

Thank you, Cindy's Legacy!
