Faith N Friends

I’ve been with Faith N Friend’s since August of this year, and it has been one of the best things I’ve ever done. I’ve found some of my best friends through Faith N Friends. I found my heart horse and am currently leasing her. None of this would’ve been possible without Faith N Friends. This place is my family, I couldn’t imagine my life without this place

Faith N Friends is amazing! I love how it combines helping horses and helping people. They not only are a horse rescue and sanctuary but they also provide therapeutic riding lessons, summer camps and a reading with the rescues program for children with special needs. This place is special beyond all other rescues in that I have seen such healing come to horses and people that come through this place.

Faithnfriends gives me hope in humanity. It’s a safe place for family units, special-needs children and adults, under served, poor, struggling teens, and just people in general. Their Motto is ‘Helping Horses help people’ and that is exactly what they do! A all volunteer ran organization that everything comes from the heart. You’re not gonna find another organization that cares more.

This is a wonderful group! The only one I know of in this area that accepts owner surrendered horses. I was able to help one named Yogi get here when he was neglected.

They help horses and people. Riding lessons and trail rides are offered. Therapy is offered. “Reading with the Rescues” lets children improve their reading skills by reading to some of the rescued horses.

My family and I LOVE volunteering at Faith N Friends. My kids have gained knowledge from their hands on experience working with their rescues and have started taking lessons as a part of the FNF lesson program. I love that it is a place for literally EVERYONE. Their lesson instructors are super patient with my special needs kiddos and know how to teach in a way that is both safe and so much FUN! 10 out of 10 would recommend Faith N Friends to all of my friends and family members.

I lost my best bud in December 2021 and have not been ready for a new buddy but when faith posted Dude and I knew I had to meet him. Faith was so helpful and made me feel good about the process. She even went as far as if I needed help at any time even in the future she would help me even come to my farm. I highy recommend faithnfriends they know what they are doing. Love how they put the horse first to find the right fit .. thank you so much Faith …. Can’t wait to bring Dude home ..

And was very fortunate to find Faith and Friends. everyone I've met is very professional and caring and the love and care they give these horses truly touches the heart. I was looking for a horse rescue to donate my horses tack and feed to now that she had passed and saw Faith-N-Friends on Facebook. I meet with a young lady on a Saturday afternoon to give her all my horses thing's and thought what a sweet girl I need to see this place Faith-N-Friends in person some day. A few months later I got my chance. Again on Facebook Faith-N-Friends had posted that they could use extra volunteers for clean up and feeding around the farm. With much anticipation I filled out the required forms and showed up on a cold and windy Sunday morning eager to lend a hand. What I found was a group of young, old and special needs people working together enjoying the horse as well as each other’s company. It warmed my heart to see all that Faith-N-Friends has to offer and the founder Faith is the most down to earth horse person I’ve ever been blessed to meet. I am now a weekly volunteer and look forward every time I go to learn and share all of my life’s experiences with this wonderful bunch of people. Thank you Faith-N-Friends for filling the hole in my heart that had been there since the loss of my beloved horse. Here’s to many more cold and windy Sunday mornings!

I don’t think I’ve ever met a person so dedicated and passionate about a cause as Faith, founder of FaithNFriends. With a huge heart and seemingly boundless energy, Faith works, advocates and rallies for horses—often at her own
expense—to give every horse possible, a life free from pain and suffering. And that dedication extends to her volunteers, who exhibit the same passion for horses and their well-being. Faith N Friends is a great horse rescue in the East Tennessee area. They genuinely have the horses welfare in mind. Everything they do, is to benefit the horses. Faith N Friends is far by the best horse rescue in Tennessee! They are very caring and give 100% to every equine brought into the rescue. My daughter does lessons at Faith N Friends and she has learned so much in a very short time! Faith N Friends is 100% volunteer ran organization so you know everyone there is committed 100%! The follow through to keep up with every equine adopted out is absolutely amazing. Faith does this personally and again all for free. They truly deliver quality over quantity when compared with other horse rescues. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone I meet!

I lost my horse a year and a half ago due to colic. When I was stable enough to get into horses again, I looked everywhere. I was looking in Ohio for horses until I stumbled up on Vegas, the mustang I knew I had to adopt. I met Vegas and knew she was the one. Faith gave me all of the information on Vegas. She told me about her old owners, health history, training history, and anything else you would ever need to know about a horse. Faith cares about all of the horses and makes sure that they are put into good homes where they will be loved and cared for. She still knows all of the horses that have entered and exited the rescue. She could probably tell you what her first rescue is up to right now. This rescue is built on quality and care. I would definitely adopt from here again and recommend her to everyone who is interested in horses.

I heard about this rescue from a friend, so myself and several friends went to spend the day and find out more. We got to meet Faith and several volunteers. We also got to our the grounds and meet all of the horses, big and small. It was obvious from the moment we arrived that these volunteers are very passionate about what they do. They shower their rescues with love and attention. And those who can be adopted are sent for training to increase their likelihood of being adopted and decrease their odds of being returned. I developed a great respect for Faith and her volunteers that day. When I am ready to adopt, they will be my first, and hopefully only, stop.

Faith has shown me just how much she cares for horses. I know she would save all of them if she could, but unfortunately, money is not unlimited. However, I can tell you about some of her success stories.
I first fostered Omega for her. He has a problem with a hoof and I know she spent a lot to try to fix it, with no avail. He could never do lots of trail work, but he definitely had a purpose.When he came to me, I did what I could to help him and he enjoyed his life here.

After about a year, a family came and needed a bomb proof type horse that would be good with kids. Omega was their man and they are so very happy with him. His hoof problem has no affect on him now as all he does is take young kids for short rides. He is their perfect horse.

I am now fostering Elfie, who came to them with elf feet. She had also foundered and was pregnant as well. She successfully gave birth, her hooves have been fixed, but because she went so long without a trim, her tendons in her back feet will never be the same. She can only be a pasture pet.

Elfie is turning into quite a favorite of mine. She was obviously not taken care of well, but is learning to trust people again. She comes up to me when I have food and even when I don't. Without Faith, this horse may have gone to slaughter.

Faith is great with horses and children alike. She takes in as many horses as she can to help better their lives, which in turn betters peoples lives. When people have horses they can no longer keep, she takes them in and gets them re-homed. This way, the owners do not have to see their horse go to auction with the possibility of a "kill buyer" taking the horse to slaughter.

I highly recommend this horse rescue and I am so happy I am able to help them!

Faith N Friends helped me and my family in hosting a benefit horseback ride during August. They were truly amazing in helping to organize the ride and came out to support suicide prevention awareness. Faith N Friends is ran by honest and caring people! Love their work!

What a phenomenal non-profit to support. Each horse is nurtured back to 100% health before they’re rehomed. Faith and Friends always takes full responsibility for each horse for the life of the animal, even if the rehoming isn’t a good fit. It’s evident by the appearance of Faith’s horses, they are treated with the utmost care and love, as if they were her own

This place is amazing! The founder, Faith, has an amazing heart and a genuine love for all animals even though she primarily takes in horses. Faith pours her life into ensuring the well being of all her rescues. Even when funds are low, faith and friends will take the ones in need and go to whatever extent to ensure proper care and love is received. I recommend this rescue with the highest respect.

Faith N Friends is providing much needed services by rescuing sick and neglected animals in and around the greater Knoxville area. They are committed to their cause and are a great organization to support.

Both my daughters volunteer for Faith N Friends and I love how much they love it! Every other weekend they go and work on the farm or attend fundraising events. It’s so great to see them do something they are passionate about!

This is an amazing place I had the opportunity to meet Faith last week to meet and visit Reese a beautiful TWH. Faith took her time with us answered all of our questions and let us spend some time with Reese. She was very interested in getting to know us as much as we were getting to know Reese. She is helping us do everything we can of making our dream of having Reese a reality. They really care for the horses and put a lot of TLC and hard work into helping these horses. I know the work they do cant be easy all the time but they sure make it look as if it is that's when you know their heart is in it! I can not wait to bring Reese home and look forward to future donating and spreading the word!!! Thank you Faith-N-Friends!

I'm excited to possibly adopt or foster through faith N friends. They are doing very important work. Animals are such wonderful and beautiful beings and should always be given the love they receive here. I'm so happy to know they find wonderful homes for these precious babies. This will be my first horse and I know they will walk me through the whole process. My sister who is experienced with horses is getting her next beauty from faith N friends as well.

Faith N Friends is an excellent rescue. They diligently put forth the effort to rehab horses that have not had a fair shot in life. They are excellent in their evaluations resulting in great matches with new forever homes. They are practical and straight forward making them a rescue you can trust.

It’s a great amazing horse rescue! I love the carring and loving environment. The horses interest always comes first. Truly an amazing place and amazing people doing amazing things!!

I volunteer for FNF & I LOVE it! Faith, the founder of FNF, I have never met such a wonderful person with such a big heart for horses! Not just horses, but all animals & people! All she wants to do is help everyone who needs help. She works so hard to take care of everyone's needs & does not complain, she's just happy to be able to help. I'm so glad we've been able to put together a really good volunteer team, all who have the same caring & desire to do whatever it takes to help. Thank you Faith for letting me come into your world! I think Faith and friends is a wonderful place my niece adopted a horse from them and they was so great with my niece about helping her learn that horse and they have been wonderful to our family I think they are a wonderful nonprofit organization and they love helping people

Faith N Friends reached out to me to help them evaluate their Tennessee Walking Horses as I have ridden, trained, and showed gaited horses my entire life; I also hold the 2016 NRHA Speed Racking Championship Title. I reviewed registered horses' blood lines and papers as well as watched them ride and evaluated their conformation. I also help age horses based on their teeth and offer opinions on the care of their hooves (my father was a farrier all growing up). The organization is friendly and kind, always very appreciative of my time, and welcoming. All the volunteers and even the president and founder of the organization enjoy learning more about horses. Many horse people are stuck up and not willing to learn or accept new knowledge, these people are not like that. They want to keep their education on horses going and growing which I think is huge. I look forward to working with them again in the near future!
