Mission: Matheny is a special hospital, school, and fine arts center whose mission is to optimize the quality of life for people with severe disabilities.
Results: Matheny provides round-the-clock medical care and comprehensive therapies for just over 130 inpatients and residents in its home hospital and group homes. The organization's outpatient medical, dental, and wheelchair seating clinics serve some 700 people each year who would otherwise have great difficulty obtaining centralized services. Matheny's pioneering Arts Access program, based in an award-winning, fully accessible studio and theatre on Matheny's Peapack campus, partners with organizations within and outside NJ to enable hundreds of people with disabilites to express themselves in the fine arts, and to present and sell their work.
