I have had the opportunity to work with Valerie and Purple Light Touch in several capacities and am always impressed by the love and care she has for the women she serves. Her desire to be a light in the darkness is always her first priority. She works tirelessly to be a voice for these women as well as providing resources to help them gain independence through teaching coping skills, life skills, and real-life work skills so the whole woman is made whole.
I came to see Valerie in Jan 2019 for major sinus pain and headaches. After 3 massage treatments they were gone. She is amazing and cares about her clients. Also goes above and beyond to help people. She is great !!! I would highly recommend her if you have any pain and medical issues!
I became involved with Purple Light Touch Foundation (PLTF) several months ago when, after meeting Valerie Kelso, hearing and being uplifted by her story, I made the commitment to dedicate whatever time and resources I could (as a volunteer) to the organization.
A unique nonprofit, PLTF’s mission is to “Empower, Uplift and Transform the lives of women and young girls dealing with the effects of emotional and/or physical abuse, depression, suicidal thoughts, bullying and cancer,” among many other life-altering situations. And it is doing a great job! Having battled and thankfully overcome many of the life-altering situations her clients have or/are experiencing, Valerie is perfectly poised to help them because she has firsthand knowledge of the plethora of emotions they feel. One of her goals is to help her clients understand that “not all touch is a bad touch,” and she’s able to do so through the use of massage.
As a nonprofit operating in an area of high need, the Purple Light Touch Foundation is sorely in need of support, and there are many different ways within which you can lend yours: whether through funding, volunteering or just recommending it to those in need of its services: massage, mentoring, counseling – join in the fight to stem the prevalence of domestic abuse in our communities because collectively we can make a difference.
Purple Light Touch has been a huge blessing to me. I have cerebral palsy and the massages at this place has eased my pain tremendously. I recommend Valerie and this place for a massage. You will definitely be satisfied
Valerie's passion and compassion for the mission of helping women and girls is uplifting. Her vision to heal as many spiritual and emotional wounds through massage is inspiring. She is an extremely talented masseuse and I have received alot of physical relief through my massages with her.
Purple Light Touch Non Profit Organization is a sanctuary for broken spirits. Valerie's healing touch not only helps to heal tired and hurting bodies, but also rejuvenates the mind and soul. Valerie provides free massages, counseling, mentoring and financial growth opportunities for women women and young girls who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, cancer and bullying give these women second chances at life. These services are absolutely free. She has changed countless lives and continues to transform her community on a daily basis. I am a survivor of domestic violence and sexual harassment. Valerie welcomed me into Purple Light Touch and helped me overcome the pain of my childhood memories. I am truly grateful for her and for Purple Light Touch. This organization's mission is playing a critical role in helping make our community a better place.
Purple Light Touch has been a blessing to me and my community. I have personally needed a massage to help with my chronic pain and have referred many of my friends and customers when I know or learn they have a need for this type of service. It is not just a massage facility it is a place to feel safe uplifted, supported, and healed. Valerie Kelso and her staff are always professional and heart warming. I also had the privilege of volunteering the 1st year PLT opened to let people know they were in the community and accompanied the team to fundraiser and seminars. I have no experience in massages but I could share my story anytime. Valerie Kelso was born to massage pain away. She is in her element and is so knowledgeable of all needed networks to help each person
If she doesn't know something she will find out and get for you. She is in inspiration to so many.
It's not often that I write reviews on a business however when I volunteered at a hosted fundraiser for women and young girls at Purple Light Touch Foundation I knew I had to share my thoughts. I learned this is not just a business however Valerie has created a brand that she has a passion for and she absolutely enjoys. I learned that the mission of Purple Light Touch Foundation is to Empower, Uplift, and Transform, the lives of women and young girls dealing with abuse, assault, depression, anxiety & stress, cancer, low self esteem, and many other things. Valerie tries to teach women and young girls that it is ok to speak out about things they have dealt with in the past, or that they are currently dealing with. She also teaches that even if you haven't gone through something yourself you may have a friend or family member that has gone through different things. Purple Light Touch Foundation is a place that you can be open about the struggles of life and not only have someone to just listen to you but to offer advice, guidance, and prayer. What an awesome experience it was to attend this event and I look forward to many more.. (Shon Dunkins)
Purple Light is incredible and Valoree is exceptionally. She is an medical massage therapist who has worked with my scoliosis, and through 2 knee injuries. Her skill in showing me how one part of the body affects the whole and she works with the soul part too.
I had an injury which left me limited in motion with extreme nerve pain. Through PLT I have been able to regain some of my movement. There are times after a massage from PLT that I can go a day or two without the nerve pain with improved movement. They gave me additional stretches to continue my progress at home. I can see light at the end of the tunnel thanks to the therapy I have received here.
I have been receiving massage therapy on the wellness side of Purple Light Touch and have supported this nonprofit organization as a donor. I have witnessed the passion Valerie has for providing women and young girls who have experienced life-altering experiences a path to wellness and self-respect. Through this therapy I have regained full range of motion and have improved my posture. As a caretaker for my husband I experienced the results of caring for oneself. As a recipient of the services provided by Purple Light Touch, I have realized a sense of well being and am better prepared to address life's challenges. SS

Purple light touch has been a blessing to me. Not only have i benefited from relaxation and information as a survivor, but I have been fortunate enough to volunteer for several events and give back to others. Ms. Valerie is helping to change lives with her caring demeanor and wisdom.
Valerie is the best!! She is a listener, as well as a great massage therapist. She has helped me to overcome some of the pain, left by my abuser. Purple Light Touch Foundation is a place of refuge, while being a place of healing, by massage. I also have health issues that Valerie has been able to help with. I no longer need to go to pain management. She cares about the whole body, mind, and soul. I carry her cards and give them to many others in pain. I recommend her, almost daily.
Purple Light Touch is an incredible foundation that helps women and young girls that have experienced any form of life changing traumatic experience. Through therapeutic and medical massages the founder and CEO Valerie Kelso helps you to relax and also uses her experience to ease physical pain. Purple Light Touch offers help to women that need to begin a new journey after leaving domestic violence relationships or any other life altering experience such as loss of a loved one, cancer, etc. They also have a room for young girls that have been bullied or abused and offer them mentoring and resources for counseling.
The profit side of Purple Light offers many different massage services such as medical, therapeutic, lymphatic drainage and relaxation. Every massage purchased helps to sponsor a young girl or women go through the foundations 6 week recovery program
I would definitely recommend Purple Light Touch to anyone.
I have been going to Purple light for about 3 years. They have helped my way of living. I had a transplant almost 8 years ago. Valerie has helped with the pain from the fluid that builds up. Valerie does wonders for so many people that have gone through pain and are still dealing with pain. I recommend her to so many. Mayge Ford
