Mission: We are the Before, During, and After people. We are here for you through Prevention Education to prevent domestic violence, sexual trauma, and stalking before it happens. Through the Prevention Education Advocate, we visit schools, clubs, and groups for anyone up to age 18 to teach kids about healthy relationships and what we can all do to prevent violence in our communities. Our other advocates are here for your church, mosque, synagogue, club, group, workplace, or anywhere else to teach about the myths surrounding interpersonal violence and what we can all do to prevent this from happening more in our communities. We’re the During People. When you are in a domestic violence relationship and you don’t know what to do. We’re there when you aren’t sure if this “counts” as domestic violence. Our crisis line is open 24/7 if you have questions about how to stay safer while you are figuring out what you want to do next. Are you worried about a loved one in a dangerous situation? We’re here to talk to you about how to support them. *Its important to remember that if you are worried about someone’s immediate safety, then calling 911 is best.* And we’re there for The After. After the violence or trauma has occurred and you’re not sure what to do next. When all at once, there seems to be too many options and yet not enough choices. If you’re scared of what happens next and feel like there’s no way out-we’re here. Not sure what you want? Call us. We can’t take away what happened, but we can walk alongside you as you choose what’s best for yourself. We’re here to support and empower you to begin your healing journey. We wish we weren’t needed but we’re sure glad to be here for you.
