I love this organization. They work tirelessly in difficult conditions and use every penny wisely. The medical clinic treats people that need care and treats them with respect. The malnutrition clinic is really what drew me into supporting the organization. When a family is struggling they offer children a way back to health and offer parents education on how to prevent malnutrition on a meager budget. As a result, these children stay in with their loving families instead of being relinquished to an orphanage.
I've visited the mission several times and have recently joined their board. The organization is all things a nonprofit should be including personable!

Real Hope for Haiti is a top notch family operated mission. They truly care about the people they serve. I have been to their mission and seen the work they do firsthand. You can 100% feel assured that all donations are allocated as they should be and that many people are being ministered to not only physically but spiritually also.

RHFH is saving the lives of many malnurished babies and children in the country of Haiti. Under very difficult circumstances they give quality health care to people who can not afford it. They show the love of Christ to the people in Cazale/Haiti in the midst of crisis.

I’ve been to Real Hope For Haiti several times in the last twenty years and can honestly say that they are the most deserving missionaries that we saw there. We lived there ourselves for 8 months and living in Haiti is difficult. They impact so many lives and have been there so many years. I admire them with all my heart !!!

We’ve been there many times in the past. We always come away amazed at their long term dedication and sincere love and caring for the people of Haiti. Other missionaries burn out after a few years but the Zachary family have been there for 20 plus years. I admire them greatly.

I lived in Haiti for 20 months at another mission but I absolutely loved to spend time at Real Hope for Haiti, some of my favorite memories of volunteering there was getting to know the staff and just being able to make a difference for one hour at a time, whether it was learning creole while sorting pills or holding babies. I bless their mission for making a difference in so many thousands of lives and for pouring their lives out for Jesus!

It is hard to put into words my feelings about Real Hope for Haiti. The amount of sacrifice I see given to help serve others is heartwarming to say the least. Visiting Haiti, being able to stay on site to witness the everyday activities at the clinic, ICU and rescue center is something that has profoundly changed my life. I am happy to introduce others to all that they do and to help in any capacity that I am able. I am truly overwhelmed with joy that facilities like this exist and even more overjoyed that there are heaps of supporters out there that make this possible.

REAL HOPE FOR HAITI is a non profit clinic in Haiti that I have been traveling to for over 8 years. It has my heart, these staff of RHFH have devoted their lives to caring for the forgotten and unknown.
The poverty in this part of the world is unimaginable and yet these Haitians carry on through life with dignity and resolve.
When it comes to their health the mountain and village people rely totally on what RHFH and others can provide.
These wonderful Christian people work tirelessly and endlessly to help these people medically, nutritionally and to give them Faith for the future.
My life has been changed forever through experiencing REAL HOPE FOR HAITI

I love this organization and the work that they do in Haiti. Their faithfulness to share the good news of Jesus and serve the medical needs of the poor is a testament to Micah 6:8. RHFH also does an amazing job connecting with its donors through Facebook and Amazon purchasing. Great people and a greater God

My husband and I “met” Real Hope for Haiti not long before the earthquake in 2010. We made our first trip that same year. We found a group of people who give all they have (plus some) to meet the needs of the people that come to them. They do a fantastic job providing medically for each person that passes through the clinic, lovingly helping restore health the the malnourished children who come come to the rescue center, and feeding and growing with the entire community spiritually in any way they can.
Despite the constant busy of Real Hope for Haiti, they do a beautiful job of educating volunteers, encouraging missional thinking, and sharing their heart and commissioning from God. In our 6 trips to volunteer we have been able to take part in many parts of the day to day doings of the mission... counting pills, painting a stair well, holding hands with a scared patient, listening to a person’s story, holding a sweet child, holding a light just right for a procedure, and on. I’ve been given the opportunity to learn about another culture, how a nonprofit can impact those it serves while preserving dignity and cultural values, and ways I can support the effort from home. Real Hope for Haiti has become family to us over the past 10 years. They are a blessing and embody the heart of non-profit work.

Our church sent a small group to visit and serve Real Hope For Haiti in January 2019. We were warmly welcomed and made as comfortable as possible at the guesthouse. Although there was a lot going on politically in the country and the US State Department had issued some warnings, we felt very safe at the mission and while with the missionaries.

We were very impressed by the work the mission is able to accomplish and with their transparency regarding how it the work done there as well as how it is funded and how funds are spent.

We were very grateful for the opportunities to serve in ways we dont always get to back home in Ohio. I especially loved spending time helping with the precious children in the in-patient rescue center. The children there have families who love them and they are not available for adoption, but if they were we would have brought back several. Children are brought there when they are severely malnourished and need round the clock care to gain weight and grow strong. The children are very lovingly cared for, fed and monitored for growth. We are thrilled to know that so many of the children we met there have successfully completed their treatments and returned to their families.

We were very impressed with the high quality of care the children in the rescue center and others who come through the clinic receive. In spite of their very small budget, the mission is able to provide a highly trained doctor and nurses to treat patients. They provide medications and wound care as well as prenatal and diabetic care. When necessary, they refer patients to other clinics or hospitals.

We were also very impressed with the fostercare program they administer which helps children stay in their communities while also receiving ongoing outpatient treatments and supplimental food boxes at the clinic. This is a huge blessing for the children and also provides a small income for the foster families.

Everything they do is motivated by a love of Christ and a desire to serve. I have absolutely no reservations recomending this mission as a great place to volunteer and support financially.

We have been a part of this wonderful organization from the beginning. We have watched them grow from feeding children to saving lives on a daily basis. Now they touch every age group and help to change the community they live in. They have brought employment and business opportunities to the area and work to change the infrastructure also. They have been there through floods, earthquakes, disease and do it all with joy as they serve .

I have personally volunteered at Real Hope for Haiti, this charity, thanks to the Zachary family, (and it is truly a family) has committed themselves to providing health care to the Haitian people, the Zachary's live at the rescue center and in the community. Real Hope has saved thousands from death due to cholera and malnutrition. If you are looking for an international non profit to support and/or serve, this is a worthy cause. Our team has been traveling to Real Hope at least annually for over 8 years. The work here is spiritual as well as physical, these people feel like family to me. Our Church is proud to provide support for Real Hope for Haiti.

We have been involved with RHFH for 10+ years, ever since we hosted a medically fragile child during her hospitalization and recovery. My first visit to RHFH in Haiti was to reunite our baby with her parents. I have since travelled back at least 4 times, taking my RN husband and eventually my teens. Each time has been an unforgettable experience. The sheer number of Haitians thT Fe served by their multi-pronged approach is amazing. Whether providing food for elderly villagers, medical attention, housing starving children and teaching families to feed them better, environmental work, providing safe drinking water, cholera treatment; the work is never ending. I am humbled by their commitment and honored to consider myself a part of their ministry.

Real Hope for Haiti has a long-time presence in Haiti, over 20 years, and has been run in a financially frugal manner, delivering crucial health inventions for needs varying from dehydration on up to cholera treatment. The expenses are openly declared and costs for treatment and care are kept to a minimum, and children and adults are served willingly there through hurricanes and fair weather alike. I receive notes of thanks on a monthly basis, and pictures and updates are regularly posted on facebook and the website. The family that is committed to this clinic in Cazale, Haiti is generous and devoted to serving the needs of Haitians, and I am thankful to be able to be a small part of what they do by donating.

I came to the clinic not knowing what to expect. I volunteered with my two teenage sons and a friend. We were all amazed with how smoothly everything ran. What I loved was how the community members were employed to help run the clinic in every capacity possible. Volunteers like us were used for support. We did everything from filing to painting to stuffing envelopes and of course being with the kids which my sons loved, they became attached to them. The work that is done here is truly Gods work. The staff was just unbelievable. Of course there was the heartache of being present when a baby was brought in too late and died of malnutrition and the long lines for help that started early in the morning. The kids we hung with were saved from the same condition that the baby had and so this is what we had to hang onto when seeing the heartache. This is a charity worth giving to I PROMISE.

I 1st visited RHFH in 1997. I have been there several times. I sit on the Board of Directors for the organization. I have never mat a more selfless organization. The church I pastor has made several missions trips there. We were there after the hurricane and earthquake. I want to say :I do not know where they get the strength, physical and spiritual, to continue. However, I do know, it comes directly from God. RHFH is front line spiritual warfare.

I had the opportunity to visit Real Hope for Haiti in April. I was very impress with the work they do. Every morning outside their door is a long line of people waiting to get medical attention.
This organization provides medical attention, medication and labs for free. They have a malnourished clinic, where they provide healthy nutritious meals to children that have come to them with health issues caused by undernourishement. They also have a ICU unit and a section for healthier children that are getting ready to go back home or the foster system.
This is a family run Charity, that lives in Cazale and have sacrifice the conforts and benefits of living in the States to help and take care of others. Please support them so in return they can continue the awesome work they have been doing in Haiti.

I very rarely give recommendations. I can wholeheartedly recommend supporting Real Hope For Haiti. Not a penny is wasted... and I can not say enough about the fantastic work these ladies do. They are the epitome of humble selfless service. I have interacted with them indirectly for ~ 2 years in Haiti, and recently visited them for a week of service. I will unreservedly continue to support them with donations and continue to serve with them every chance I possibly can. I strongly encourage you to do the same!

The clinic, baby ICU and children's care at RHFH goes on in a small compound about the size of 1/4 of a city block. But what big work they do! All the staff is loving and caring (and disciplining:) to the children. The clinic staff was smiling and helpful even to one who knows so littleHaitian Creole. I've known the Zachary family since they all went to Haiti. Only last Apr/May did I spend 10 days there at the mission. The presence of Christ can be felt as one sees the people line up, even the night before, clinic opens, to get help. The 65 or more children in the Rescue center are loved and helped in many ways. Some need care for other reasons, but most have great malnutrition helped by the Medika Mamba(protein formula). Some of the earthquake victims were still being cared for in Lori's new/unoccupied home. What a blessing to see the planting program going on in the community program/ soil erosion deterred by the planting of vetiver grass, etc. The donated corn program began while I was there. Now look at the blog for results.

I have never witnessed a group more compassionate about the people they serve. 24/7/365 this is their life...the real deal! Zach daily travels to collect/find ways to fill the needs of the Rescue Center and Clinic they operate. Licia finds more then 24 hours in each day! She has a passion for each child in the Rescue Center. She is genuine and truly cares. She has put her personal needs completely on the back burner to help someone in need. It may be holding the hand of a grandmother as she learns her grandchild may not survive, explaining to a mother of a nine month old who is expecting another child the importance of continuing breast feeding during her pregnancy, or even the way she cares for a child after he/she has lost its fight. Lori is filled with knowledge, yet she is so open to those around her to learn yet more. Lori manages the clinic. She treats people both medically and spiritually. She has formed a community group to aid the people of Cazale in bettering themselves and their community.

I will soon be going for my fourth visit to Real Hope For Haiti. I have been volunteering to help their organization for about 3 years now and we will continue to support them and everything they do in the future. They work tirelessly to help children and families in the mountains of Haiti and they are very resourceful. They not only do everything they can to help people in Cazale, but they genuinely love the people they care for. I have been beyond impressed with everyone who runs the Rescue Center and Clinic and all of the staff there, and all the children and patients who's lives have been transformed are the proof of everything that they do.

Real Hope for Haiti is an awesome organization. They are doing so much for their community of Cazale and the surrounding communities that travel days on foot over mountains to reach them. Licia, Lori and Zach have such a passion for what the do and the people that they are serving. I was down there as a volunteer just after Thanksgiving in 2010. There are many different componets to the work that they do at RHFH. Licia is in charge of the rescue center for children suffering from kwash (malnurishment) and oversee the daily care of 60 children and staff. She does an amazing job, and even though she has to run the business side of it you frequently find her in the middle of it interacting with the children and caring for them, she has a knack to get even the sickest of kids to give her a smile that just warms your heart. Lori is the "rambo" nurse that runs the clinic. Clinic is open 3 days a week and see anywhere from 200 to 300 pts per day!!! Its truely amazing at the set they have. There they do prenatal care, well baby check ups, OB/ Gyne clinc, sutures, wound care, pap smears, HIV testing, Syphilis testing, Chlamyda testing, and Gonnerhea testing, they snip tounge tied kids, and there so much more!! But even as impressed as I was about the medical care these community members receive was the way its received, with compassion. Theres also community education like sewing clasees, literacy classes, and after school tudoring. Every time you open your eyes something is happening around there. In Lori's spare time ( really that was sarcastic cuz shes on the go from 5am till 10 pm everyday) she opened a cholera house to treat the epidemic in that area. That also is an amazing set up. There are 20 something beds, which at times are full, and for pts that are stable with oral rehydration theres the porch of the house, which seems overflowing with another 10 or so pts every day. She has Haitian staff members to help care for the pts and American and Canadian volunteers that come into help, but its truely her baby project. I worked mainly at the cholera house while I was there, and even if she was able to escape down to the clinic for the day to get some work done, she always came up at change of shifts to make sure everything was running smoothly, and was alway a cell phone call away if we needed her or her great knowledge and advice. Then theres Zach, ZAchary Davis..... Lori and Licias dad. I loved spending time with him, and he always had great stories to tell. As he would say his role is to make sure his daughters are happy and have everything they need. My favorite quote from his was " I used to say happy wife happy life, but since my wife is now gone its happy daughters, happy life!" And yes he takes his job seriously. For example Lori needed more soap to hand out at the cholera house. So she put her dad on finding it. Later that day he came back with soap. There was 36 bars in one box.....not bad, but that wasnt the end of it there was 36 boxes as well!!! Zach believes in buying big and that he def. does well.
I have volunteered at many places in Haiti, but no where have I felt so at home. RHFH treats thier volunteers as family and that meant alot to me. When the go to the grocery store they ask u if you want anything special.... When people go to Haiti as missionary's the have the desire to serve others, sometimes while in big organizations this desire can fade over the yrs and turn into almost a business type environmont. This is so so so far from what RHFH is about, they came down with a passion to serve christ and 15 yrs+ later that passion is still as strong as the day when they arrived!!! I love you RHFH and keep doin what you are doing.

I was amazed at the work that is done by the missionaries and staff at RHFH. They work in very harsh conditions to heal the sick, injured, and comfort the dying. I was pleased to visit the literacy class where the Haitian staff have the opportunity to learn to read. I enjoyed visiting the seedling area where trees are 'born'. I loved on little babies - and left with a huge burden in my heart to return.

My husband and I just returned from Haiti, and were amazed and humbled by the work of this organization. Located in an extremely poor, rural area, the workers at this clinic labor long hours to serve the community with basic health care and clean water. We can't say enough about the character and integrity that we witnessed, and it was clear that these folks are loved by those that they serve. In a country known for corruption and questionable motives, Real Hope for Haiti is a bright light.
