For at least the last 5-8 years, DBMP has supported church-based communities in remote Sarangani Province in southern Philippines for a minimally-educated, food insecure, and way below the poverty line population group.First, DBMP helped collaborate iin leadership training for those willing to serve in difficult remote communities bringing Jesus' gospel. It contributed towards a space for training classes ad sent leadership books for a foundational library. The new trained leaders, willing to climb roadless mountains, even in dangerous Islam territories, were grateful for DBMP support for much-needed food during long journeys on foot. One community leader/pastor blessed with a small motorcycle in better terrain tied its flat tires with vines for traction for almost a year to get to his communities. When DBMP supplied him with new tires and some gas money, he thankfully laid his hands on the tires daily and felt 'wealthy'!One dilapidating church, hidden behind bushes, was ready to close down. No shadows passed through its doorless entrance. Pandemic quarantined the few shadows who came. One family who refused to let it die teamed up with DBMP by looking at what was left. Kids. few bored-at-home kids who came to play in church. Someone who thought the kids needed to have some learning activity led them singing and taught Bible stories. Soon kids from surrounding neighborhoods couldn't fit in the church space, spilled under trees for regular Bible studies. DBPM supplied chairs, more chairs, a mimeograph machine, paper, notebooks, white board, etc. A semblance of 'school' for lonely kids who declared they were willing to go to jail should cops find them not observing quarantine. No one was jailed.Montesa Patawaran, board member, agreed with the family: "We're preparing the next generation to replace us. We need to do something more." More Bibles were bought, and the dying church is now abuzz with happy noise. Parents and adults came. When the pandemic aggravated hunger, DBMP supplied sacks of rice, and on two Christmases, bags of food supplies, canned food, masks, school supply packs, etc. The kids became so good at singing they decided to compete with established church choirs in the district for the first time. They won!In 2022, DBMP helped towards this church's extended, expanded, more permanent walling. DBMP kept the dying church alive! Another more remote church of 100% Tibolis was ravaged by a typhoon and shredded its bamboo walls. Today, both churches are beyond grateful for the generous gifts Double Blessings Plus Ministry has been willing to share. Thank you, God.

DBPM (Double Blessings-Plus Ministry) is a small non-profit organization founded about 20 years ago and is geared toward serving men. women and children of the community in their time of temporary financial difficulties. The founders saw the need and sent financial help to buy food, medicines, and school supplies, help breadwinners who lost their jobs; and money for hospitalizations, surgeries, and treatments for specific illnesses like cancer. The officers, Board members, and pastoral overseers are all volunteers who endeavor to raise money to distribute accordingly as the Lord leads. Financial aid is sent to short-term missionaries to buy Bibles and other supplies in third-world countries. We thank all our faithful Supporters through the years who continue to partner with us on this great cause. Blessings to you all.
