I have been involved with the Alice Paul Institute as a volunteer, board member, and donor for many years and the organization has continued to do exceptional work. Their mission - to promote full gender equality through education, development and empowerment of leaders - is being accomplished through their many programs which preserve Paulsdale, the birthplace of Alice Stokes Paul (suffragist and author of the Equal Rights Amendment), educate people about her life and work, and develop future women leaders. Under the guidance of new Executive Director Lucienne Beard, API is expanding its presence as a force for gender equality at a time when efforts are sorely needed. I can definitely say that through my affiliation with Alice Paul Institute, I've become a better, more conscientious leader - and I hope through my continued donations to help other women and girls achieve their leadership goals.
