Youth TimeBanking is one of the best nonprofit programs I’ve ever took part in. YTB uses time as a currency in aid of motivating youths to give back to their community. The organization places impact on how youth strength can greatly improve community development. My time in YTB benefited my personal and professional values as it has enlightened my perspective on what it means to truly give back. Being a part of YTB, I’ve gained new friends, learn about other cultures and develop new skills.
YTB is a wonderful program that caters to the community. Without their efforts a lot of stories wouldn’t be heard and the importance of global issues that aren’t addressed or acknowledged would not be presented in such a powerful way. YTB utilizes many different methods but their practice of PhotoVoice is not only interesting but engaging and offers insight that I really appreciate.
Thanks to YTB, Cora was able to achieve her Girl Scout Gold Award and create a resource website for neurodivergent teens and young adults. The slogan “Youth Are: Assets, Resources, and Energy” was applied through her efforts and the combination of YTB team support.

Involvement in Youth TimeBanking has brought our family the ability to understand reciprocity in community service. Collaboratively building a Little Free Library for their middle school was a wonderful way to give back to the support they’ve received in their school district.
Our youngest enjoyed the Global Letter Writers’ Exchange with students in Uganda. This led to her Girl Scout Troop meeting the amazing Gin DeMaio and enjoying discussion with the personalities behind the pencils through Zoom.
These are two of many amazing experiences that make Youth TimeBanking involvement much more than the reciprocal sharing of skills - there are incredible opportunities for all involved. YTBGlobal lives up to its name as it opens new paths to a world of possibilities.
Ytbnj brings timebanking to young people around the world. It opens their eyes to discovering their own inner strengths and the resources around them, and helps them to become effective, energized change-makers instead of the victims of circumstance. My own role has been to advise the founder of the Cameroon youth time bank Elise Edjang. It has been truly inspirational to see how that initiative has taken root in the community, and all the ways that the young people are taking action.
Youth TimeBanking as a universal concept has expanded my mindset about 'change' and 'transformation' as it is the embodiment of both of these frameworks. I encourage anyone and everyone who is not familiar with Time Banking to engage youth within their communities to visit www.youthare.org to see firsthand how each of us can be a conduit for transformational change.
Youth TimeBanking as an organization continues to lead the charge in outreaches to those who historically have not actively participated in community change and transformation. It is through this reciprocity that both youth and communities grow to prosper, as interactive exchange of actions systemically impact those who serve as well as those being served! YTB embodies their foundational concept of YOUTH ARE (Assets, Resources & Energy) and that is why a rating of 5-Stars was given!

It has been a 'life-changing' experience for me to first learn about Time-Banking, especially connected with youth. Jerome Scriptunas-Founder of Youth Time-Banking, has led the charge to ensure that all youth A.R.E. seen as Assets, Resources, and Energy!
This non-profit organization is succeeding in bringing together innovative thought-leaders from around the world to ensure that there are No More Throw Away People (a book written by the late Dr. Edgar Cahn). The concept of utilizing time as a currency to provide social justice, engagement, co-production and citizen participation is being applied all over the world.
It is a true honor to serve on the Board of Directors for Youth Time-Banking, where I can participate in movement to engage with people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds in achieving the quest to impact equity connected with health, education, vocation, housing/food security and environmental awareness.
I cannot think of another non-profit where the goals of education, engaging and empowering are being achieved every day. So, without hesitation I encourage you to explore how you can become involved in YTB-Global. Together we can ensure that 'Teamwork will make the Dreamwork!'
The YTB activities have encouraged us to help the youths overcome trauma which has enabled them to be able to open up and engage themselves in leadership.

Since I joined YTB, I have seen changes in my community foreample improvements in sanitation and personal hygiene in the community people, YTB has also taught the youth that they can also be leaders and serve their community through credits earned and later used to serve the community needs.
YTB has also helped the youth to get new friends and work as a team.
I love ytb because it empowers the youth to become hardworking through earning and using of credits that are got from time spent on doing an activity. This helps the youth work smartly and also work towards the development of their communities hence making the Youth Assets, Resources and Energy
I admire the organization's efforts to raise awareness of important issues through photography that captures real human experiences. They also work to create supportive groups that serve as vehicles for change.
Through Youth Time Banking, Youth get to collaborate and learn the value of time.
They learn that they can impact their community even at their young age.
Through YouthTimeBanking, youth and young adults in Yaounde, Cameroon are able to experience something extremely powerful and unique.
They are able to collaborate, and share knowledge, skills, and ideas while earning time credits that they can later redeem for goods and/or services.
They have the opportunity to get involved in their community through photovoice and are learning that one is never to young to make a difference.

My youth group recently had the pleasure with working with Jerome at Youth Time Banking for Photovoice project. The experience was truly enriching for our youths. Jerome was so positive and supportive along the way. It was a great experience and partnership!
I really enjoyed working with Jerome and YTBNJ. Our youths liked working together on our project and seeing the final results. Time banking is great!

I have had nothing but a great experience with YTB. Being a part of a change in the world really means the most to me. Thanks to my research study that was affiliated with my college, I was able to branch out and meet the wonderful crew of YTB. Working with YTB gives opportunity to understand good leadership amd giving opportunity to everyone to participate than being self-centred.
YTB provides youth with interesting opportunities to help their community and receive support for projects that help them develop and improve their skills. I especially like the projects involving crochet and art. And I very much enjoy the virtual tours of the animal sanctuaries.
I am delighted to pen a review about Youth TimeBanking, a groundbreaking platform inspired by the vision of Edgar Cahn. Youth TimeBanking (YTB), was born from the need for a tool for a care management organization to foster community connections and informal support for youth served and their families. This award-winning approach is based on the youth's strengths, needs, abilities, preferences, and service objectives that are reflective of the voice and choice of the child/youth and family served and the service team.
Taking the Youth TimeBanking concept globally was the natural next step. Young people who embrace YTB Global find a safe and inclusive space to showcase their talents, learn from others, and make a positive impact in their communities. I learned about Ytbnj through a friend/family member who works with the organization. Ever since we started to collaborate with YTB NJ here in Uganda, we have seen massive changes in communities where we implement Youth Time Banking (YTB) concepts under YTB-Uganda. Today, over 400 youths have benefited in terms of hands-on job skills, access to digital technology, improved classroom infrastructure development, access to low-cost building Interlocking Stabilized Soils Blocks (ISSBs) which reduces on tree cutting, scholastic material, global letter exchange for promoting knowledge exchange and understanding among the youths living in different geographical locations, etc
-YTB has greatly helped the youths In my country Uganda to develop positive minds towards the communal activities which has promoted developing together.
-YTB programs have helped children and youths to discover a lot of skills and talents which were hidden in them and right now they put them into practice.
-YTB activities have built a positive participating attitude in useful activities in the children and youths of Bright parents school. This is witnessed by seeing them working at their own pace.
