Mission: Mission Statement:
The North East Community Center seeks to build a healthy, caring, responsive and welcoming community for all who live and visit here. NECC acts as a catalyst for that community vision through its partnerships with other organizations and by offering social, educational, recreational and cultural programs and services to help meet community needs.

Target demographics: support and strengthen the community
Direct beneficiaries per year: hundreds of community residents get healthy food, transportation, job training, child care, tax refunds and much more
Geographic areas served: northeast Dutchess County
Programs: NECC's major programs are:
* After-School Program for grades K-8, that includes arts, community service, leadership development and recreation;
*The Family Support program, including Mom's Morning Out, Growing Together, a peer support group to help parents gain information, skills, attitudes and techniques for enriching the home environment.
*The Partnership with Schools and Business, which trains high school students to work in paying internships in community businesses.The Center also operates the Care Car, a volunteer run transportation service for area residents in need of rides.
*Community Events such as the Family Arts Festival, First Night, Fall Fun Day and Tellabration.
*Community Services that provide free tax preparation, community education seminars, Friendly Visitors, and activities such as coat drives, distribution of discount prescription drug cards and other benefits.The center's building is used by many community groups, including the Harlem Valley Rail Trail.
