Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Education, Educational Services, Elementary & Secondary Schools, Literacy, Secondary & High Schools
Mission: The mission of NorthShore Robotics is to foster and encourage a passion for STEAM education in our students and community. We enable our students to explore STEAM subjects in the world around them and guide them through lessons in programming, designing, building and application of the engineering process. We encourage a culture of camaraderie, determination, positivity, respect, and the pursuit of personal and team excellence. Students participate in robotics competition to apply and demonstrate their skills, to lead by example, to encourage the involvement of their peers and further the mission of our organization.
Target demographics: Youths 5 years old and over access high quality, immersive STEAM education
Direct beneficiaries per year: Hundreds of kids access free and low cost STEAM resources in addition to reaching tens of thousands state wide with inclusive, representative outreach.
Geographic areas served: Mandeville, Louisiana
Programs: Year round afterschool robotics classes, camps, and competitions. We also offer Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math resources through a variety of partnerships and other resources.
