Mission: Founded in 1997, AbilityPLUS was created to offer increased access to athletic and recreational opportunities in the northeast for persons with physical and mental disabilities that will create freedom, promote independence, support inclusion and help those individuals and their families discover their full social, mental and athletic potential.
Results: Since our founding more than 15 years ago we have gone from providing fewer than 100 lessons to a dozen individuals with disabilities to providing more than 3000 lessons and various special programs to hundreds of people with disabilities each year. Come join us as a volunteer, participant or sponsor and see the results with your own eyes. It is a life changing experience.
Target demographics: People with all manner of physical and/or developmental disabilities, including injured veterans and members of the Armed Forces, people with debilitating physical disease, life changing injury, people with autism and all other cognitive disabilities.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Today, with the help of our partner programs and hundreds of volunteers, we have provide thousands of lessons for people with disabilities who, along with their families and friends have experienced the joy of inclusion in mainstream recreational activities. AbilityPLUS and each of our Affiliate Programs are open to everyone. We teach and work with people regardless of their age or disability or financial constraints.

Programs: Soldiers For Soldiers, for injured service men/women Alpine Race Team, trains adaptive athletes for Paralympics and Special Olympics Community School Program, offers children with disabilities the opportunity to participate in recreational outings with peers
