Mission: The mission of the Wildlife Leadership Academy is to engage and empower high school age youth to become Conservation Ambassadors to ensure a sustained wildlife, fisheries and natural resource legacy for future generations.
Results: Since 2007, the Academy has graduated 824 youth from 65 PA counties. To date, Academy students have engaged in 7,293 projects in conservation education, communication, service, creative arts and outdoor mentorship in 28,000 contact hours in these projects and with the public, an audience of over 130,000 people across the state.
Target demographics: youth aged 14-17 who are interested in conservation and the outdoors
Direct beneficiaries per year: 120 teens who indirectly impacted their communities by giving back as Conservation Ambassadors.

Programs: A year round program, the Academy begins with rigorous summer field schools that focus on wildlife/fisheries biology and conservation as well as leadership skills development and continues with community outreach through education, service, media engagement, creative arts, and outdoor mentorship.
