Livonia Kids and Families is an amazing organization that provides essentials to kids in our community. They support a special education student-lead food pantry that is available to our whole school district community. Families can access the food pantry right in their community and students are learning valuable job skills by being a part of giving back to their neighbors. Additionally, Livonia Kids and Families has provided enrichment resources for students to use in the arts and with hands on learning. They are responsive to community needs and always willing to help in any way.

Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Food, Food Banks & Pantries, Food Programs, Human Service Organizations, Human Services
Mission: To serve our academic community where there are students, and families in need of food, clothing, and other necessary family resources, while also helping moderately cognitively impaired students learn skills that will be valuable in the workforce.
Results: We have expanded to 6 food pantries, built two STEAM Technology labs in our local schools, and helped thousands of families since being founded.
Target demographics: Title One and ALICE families in our local schools
Direct beneficiaries per year: by distributing food to hundreds of families on a year-round basis
Geographic areas served: Wayne and Oakland County
Programs: Food, helping MOCI (moderately cognitively impaired students) learn work-life skills in our food pantries, providing kids in need musical instruments, and have created STEAM Technology labs for students.
