I have been involved for the past 11 years with Precious Project and the enthusiasm and energy of those involved are infectious. Precious Project proves over and over that, so much good can be accomplished with a dedicated and energized group of people. Never doubt for a minute that much can be accomplished to change lives in desperately poor areas of the world. Change is possible and it is happening because the people who support the Precious Project are the true heros.
I've been a donor to the Precious Project for a few years now. I receive an update every couple of months and it's always amazing to see how much has been accomplished since the previous update. The people involved in the Precious Orphanage are doers and they really love the kids and the community. A big part of why it's working so well is that local people at the center of decision-making and execution of projects. They've accomplished a lot in the last 3-4 years, including new buildings for the orphanage and school, educational programs, food programs, and medical services. They have plans for the future and seem highly capable of following through.
I have been working with the Precious Project since it was started about 5 years ago. I am on the Board of the Precious Project and I live in the village of Nshupu 4 to 5 months each year. I see what a huge difference this project makes in the lives of desperately poor children who otherwise would not have a chance. The Precious Project has accomplished much and has so much more to contribute. Save a life and feel good doing it . . . all it takes is a donation . . . www.preciousproject.org
Precious’ success can be credited to the dedication, vision and leadership of Susie Rheault and Gil Williams. Despite the hardships of living in the dusty rural village of Nshupu, Susie and Gil spend over five months annually there providing oversight and expertise to the various Precious projects. They've had a significant impact in the care and education of vulnerable village children and inspired me to do more.
