Geographic areas served: Loudoun County, Northern Virginia, and Washington DC area

Programs: Ability Fitness Center, a therapeutic fitness and wellness center with expert clinicians and specialized equipment, provides access to innovative, customized, and activity-based interventions for people with neurological and developmental disabilities including spinal cord and brain injuries, stroke, Parkinson’s, and other neurological conditions. ALLY Advocacy Center works diligently to meet the unmet needs of the disability community by providing free information on disability rights; referrals to local, state, and federal resources; counseling; events and workshops for people with disabilities, their families, and the professionals who work with them. Events include iCan Bike Camp, a region wide Disability Resource Fair, Holiday Giving Program, Practice Traffic Stops, and Pathways to the Community. Aurora Behavior Clinic, provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, Occupational Therapy (OT), and Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) for all ages, offering individual and group sessions and accepts many insurance carriers. Group sessions: Social Skills (8-week classes for ages 3-18 to promote age-appropriate social), Play & Say (6-week group classes for children 1-5 years with a parent, co-led by a Speech Therapist and OT), Wellness Program (partner with Ability Fitness Center), Caregiver Support, and Feeding Program. Aurora School, is a year-round private Special Education Day placement school. Fully accredited by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) and the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Education Facilities (VAISEF), Aurora School is a caring educational community that provides a low student teacher ratio, usually 1:1 and uses the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to provide individualized education for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, primarily autism. Open Door Learning Center, is an inclusive preschool licensed by the Virginia Department of Education. ODLC focuses on building social skills, teaching developmentally appropriate academics, and getting preschool students and their parents ready for kindergarten. ODLC is an approved Child Subsidy Provider through the Commonwealth of Virginia. Flexible daily schedules are offered Monday through Friday including Full-Day, Part-Time. and After-School.
