Voices of Strength (VOS) was a lifeline for me and my family when my son was murdered (shot in the back without warning 11 times) November 14, 2020. Marissa, CEO and founder, of VOS reached out to me shortly after my son‘s murder. She offered strength to be able to endure this horrific event that has altered my life forever, comfort as she was there to listen and guide me through the process, and she offered hope for justice. I’m not sure if I would have been able to get through my first year without my son if not for Marissa’s help and guidance. Marissa gave me a voice. The voice that my son no longer has. She continues to reach out and provide me with multiple opportunities to speak on behalf of my son and the injustice that he and my family endured. We (my daughter and I) are still fighting for Justice with the help of VOS. Marissa is a blessing and I am so grateful she reached out to us at the exact moment we needed her. Marissa is a Real One and I’ll cherish her for a lifetime.
Voices of Strength is an amazing and caring organization that has helped me greatly after my son was killed unjustly by 2 cops from Stockton, Ca. Marissa, the founder of Voices of Strength has created a platform for us grieving parents and family members of those that have been stolen by law enforcement to speak and tell our loved one’s stories without judgement. I am very grateful for Voices of Strength and will always support this foundation. Marissa dedicates many hours to the families of those that have been killed by law enforcement and in her research that is put out to educate the general public on these unjust killings. Voices of Strength is for the people and such a needed organization. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me and my family!

V.O.S. Has a very informative platform that does amazing work for impacted families. I applaud the efforts of founder Marissa Barerra for being the voice for those who can not advocate for their self due to untimely circumstances.
