Beth and her family have took in several feral dogs from a hoarding situation. I know they are being taken care of and living the best life possible at the sanctuary.

Animal Angels was founded in 1992 by Carole Sanders. Over the years, Animal Angels has evolved from a small rescue, rehabilitation and adoption rescue organization to a lifetime sanctuary for dogs & equine. We are well recognized in the animal community and serves the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and all North Texas. Animal Angels is located on 38 secure acres in Jack County, a few miles from the county seat, Jacksboro, Texas. We offer lifetime sanctuary and care to those animals that have been dumped and abandoned along the back roads and highways by irresponsible individuals. We offer a home to animals whose humans have passed and their family wants to find a home for their loved ones pets. We operate completely debt free and have no paid staff. All are resident volunteers that bring their many talents to help the animals in whatever way is needed. We have provided for the future of Animal Angels and have the 2nd generation of this organization in place to continue for many years to come. The animals have the freedom to run and explore the many nooks and crannies of the sanctuary, dig holes or go swimming in one of the two tanks. They are only caged in 10 x 10 pens while waiting to be spayed/neutered, evaluated for personality, treated for illness or injury or medicated. No dog stays in a cage for longer than two weeks. We have a clinic where our veterinarian of record does spay/neuters. We are also recognized by ASA, American Sanctuary Association. We are supported only by public donations and receive no local, state or government assistance.
