Everyone For Veterans

After reading the reviews I feel like either I was in a different program or was just back on the bottom with so many Vets looking up and just accepting "your not that good of a Veteran". Due to many assults by police and strangers, my mouth is really painful. My gums are gone and teeth are loose and some moving. After see 2 dentists, a cleaning that caused teeth to move more and a very temporary cover on a tooth with a hole in it, its now just more painful and humiliating knowing I'm not getting my mouth fixed like these reviews I've read. Off to find a free dentist that might help my mouth and the pains that make eating not worth the pains. I've referred a few Veterans and hope they get help.

Everyone for Veterans is an awesome non-profit with a very dedicated staff! They are very responsive and I greatly appreciate their help in my time of need.

My top teeth were so damaged from health issues I was too self conscious to smile and afraid I wouldn't be able to chew much longer. Without insurance I was desperately searching for help and stumbled upon Everyone For Veterans. I applied thinking it was a long shot but I received notice I qualified. They said it could be up to 2 years waitlist, it depends if a dentist in your area signs up. An astonishing 2 weeks later I received a call that I matched with a dentist. I was terrified of the dentist because of so many past horrible experiences but went anyway, I didn't have much choice anymore. I assumed I'd receive a cleaning and maybe do something for all my top broken teeth but they gave me so much more than that. Over the course of a few months Dr Paisner
Showed me i dont have to be scared of the dentist and replaced all my broken upper teeth with implants. He gave me back a smile, the ability to eat solid foods and relieved my pain and fears. He wouldn't have been able to help if it weren't for this program. Everyone For Veterans and Dr Paisner changed my life and ill forever be grateful.

I cannot express enough how grateful I am to the whole Everyone For Veterans Organization, and Dr. Ohlsen for proving me with the vital dental care I needed. Dr. Ohlsen was very accommodating, knowledgeable, professional, and gracious. His skill made the work that I needed done seem so seamless and very comfortable; I did not feel any discomfort at all. Prolonged dental care can cause so many health issues that we may not think can be the root cause. I am absolutely certain that Everyone For Veterans, and Dr. Ohlsen have given me years back on my life with my family, and I am so very thankful.

I had my teeth removed for osteoporosis treatment at the VA. Since I was not eligible for treatment at the VA. I was given a list of low-cost dental places in the area. I selected the UW Dental School, given the information for Everyone For Veterans. Furthermore, I applied and was accepted into the program. I was notified that the UW dental school Would assign me Student Dentist. I met Mrissa, and we started the process for Dentures and in a few months received the Dentures. The non-profit was easy to work with and very helpful out the process

As a Veteran without access to Dental Insurance, dental checkups and work are easy to let go. Everyone for Veterans approved me for the program that connected me with dental care that I really needed. I needed cleaning plus some crowns and other minor work, and they took care of all of it. I wouldn't have been able to get that done without Everyone for Veterans. Couldn't be more thankful for this organization and the support they've given to me and the Veteran community.

i thought i was just going to get work on one or two teeth well they work on all my teeth
no more pain crack chip broken and worn out teeth all my bottom teeth they put dental crowns and my top they fix with fillings and the amount it cost OMG out of this world comfort dental mile high treated me great thank you everyone so much specially Doctor Parfitt and thanks everyone for veterans specially

To all the veterans out there needing support,
I dealt with daily pain, discomfort, and anxiety for many years due to ongoing issues with my teeth. The embarrassment of my situation, finding the right dentist, and affording the care needed was overwhelming and deterred me from seeking help. I was eventually made aware of the Everyone for Veterans program and quickly connected with their staff. They were highly responsive and compassionate to my situation. EV4 staff assisted me with the application and interview process to ensure that I quickly got added to the service list. I was later connected with APEX Dental and Dr. Mindy. Dr. Mindy was professional, honest, informative, and empathetic to those like me that suffer from anxiety involving dental care. Her bedside manner, sense of humor, and positivity created a comfortable environment for my uncomfortable situation. Regarding the care I received, Dr. Mindy was nothing short of supernatural in her ability to develop and execute my care plan while always ensuring I fully understood the steps, timeline, and outcome of each visit. She changed my life and I am truly grateful for her service and that of EV4. I highly recommend that any veteran in need of assistance connect with the Everyone for Veterans program.

Helped me get nearly 30 thousand dollars worth of dental services without a dime coming from my pocket. I had issues going back a decade but could never afford to get it fixed. Now I can smile without veneers and don't have to take out teeth to eat.

A significant percentage of our veterans battle to overcome the adverse effects of PTSD, effects that currently result in over 20 veteran suicides a day. Combat veterans have a tough time adjusting on return, and low-income intensifies their struggles. Everyone for Veterans (E4V) exemplifies people helping people. The E4V approach helps both to heal the low-income combat veteran and strengthen the community at large. As individuals in the community become aware of this challenge, many volunteer with E4V to give back to our combat veterans in a more tangible manner. Everyone for Veterans connects individual people to meet the veteran needs. Passionate service plus intentional networking within the dental community has grown the provider network to more than 400 dentists across the nation providing pro bono comprehensive care (not just urgent care) in their private practices to low-income combat veterans in the community. Everyone for Veterans is a growing community of people helping people

I learned of Everyone for Veterans (E4V) from Dr Theresa Cheng in June 2016 as she sought to form a Board of Directors, incorporate, and expand beyond dental care for low-income, combat veterans. Dr Cheng wanted military experience on the team. I had served 31-years in the USAF, including 5 combat tours as a pilot during Vietnam War. When I learned of all E4V had already accomplished since 2008, I jumped at the opportunity to join. To move beyond the dental office and engage the community at large, we created the “Wingman” project so anyone in the community could participate and honor a veteran. While most of my support to E4V has been indirect –enlisting donors, engaging with other vets, and even signing up a dentist in Tennessee who happened to be in Sammamish for a wedding – the opportunity to be “in the house” and coordinate King 5 coverage when our wingman Erin made a delivery of food, toddler essentials, and toys to veteran David’s family in Renton is my top experience. Not only did the material items make a difference, but, more importantly, an individual in the community expressed care and acknowledged the life-threatening service of the vet and sacrifice of the family. The positive impact was clearly visible and unforgettable.

Everyone for Veterans (E4V) was born of people helping people back in 2008 – one Issaquah dentist and her staff. The veteran feedback and appreciation so pumped up the crew that, after only a few years, they offered comprehensive care, more than a one day annual event. Word spread through the dental associations, then the community at large via media coverage. E4V now has volunteers nationwide, a “Wingman” project so anyone in the community can participate. The Board, Dental care folks, and Wingmen are all volunteers – definitely a great group of people helping people and making a lasting, positive impact in the community.

I proudly support this organization with my time as a volunteer. I did not know Veterans do not receive Dental care benefits, something most of us take for granted at free or little cost. The founder Dr. Theresa Cheng has an incredible heart for helping and serving those who have served us and our nation. Truly inspiring! I encourage anyone to learn more and get involved whether you are in the dental field or not (as I am not!).

Cannot say enough great things about this organization. After answering only a few questions over the phone, Dr. Cheng and her staff found an amazing dentist for me within walking distance in a matter of days. This dentist was so generous that he was willing to provide more work than I was willing to accept. Still kind of in shock that the entire process was so painless (literally)! Thank you so much Dr. Cheng and everyone at Everyone for Veterans!

I discovered Everyone for Veterans while researching nonprofits for Act of Giving Foundation during our 2017 grant cycle that focused on veterans service orgs. We chose to fund Everyone for Veterans for two reasons: the organization's record of providing comprehensive, ongoing dental care to low income combat vets and its vision for expanding that model to allow anyone and everyone to give back to our servicemen and servicewomen by accepting a citizen's mission to give time, expertise, or services to a veteran and family in need.

Everyone for Veterans is an innovative nonprofit run by a passionate and determined network of volunteers. Act of Giving foundation is honored to enable their work.

I heard about E4V at the vet center here. I got a quick response after I contacted them And had two interviews over the phone Dr Cheng was very understanding and compassionate. Apparently it took a lot of searching to find a dentist here, but they were successful. I've had one visit so far and I have to say that it was amazing. I got the best cleaning and most thorough
exam I have ever experienced. Everyone there treated me like a valued person and not like a "charity case". I am looking forward to eating like a normal person and not having to run my food through a blender the way I do now. Thanks to E4V.

Dr. Cheng helped my husband and I with finding 2 dentists in our area that helped give us the emergency dental help we needed. Both dentist went above and beyond to help get us dental work. They also provided a years worth of dental services. It was amazing and so was Dr. Cheng with assistance in this. It’s such an amazing organization and we are so thankful for what everyone has done for us.

I speak highly enough of Dr.Cheng or this organization. I had done significant damage to my teeth, and Everyone for Veterans found me a local dentist who conducted over $5,000 worth of dental care free of charge!

Needed a root canal. Dr Cheng contacted a Dentist here in Florida and went above and beyond. Words can not express my gratitude.

My experience with Everyone For Veterans has been and continues to be an excellent experience. The courtesy and respect and service I have received is professional and the best. They have helped me in time of need and have my gratitude and support, respect for what they do for me and other veterans. Absolute good sincere devoted people who care and do something about filling the void in Dental Care for Veterans. If Everyone For Veterans needs something, I there for them.

Everyone for Veterans has made a big impact on my life and health, and also made me feel welcome back into my community. The process was very simple and the care I received was excellent.

Everyone For Veterans does a does a wonderful job of educating the public about the needs veterans have and the gaps that exist in programs available to them. Once they raise my awareness, they give me a way to help fill those gaps. Through their website, they bring together veterans in need with people in the community who can help them. Most of us want to help, but it is not always easy to connect with someone who has a need. When folks register on the website, they immediately become available to a veteran. The model is so efficient, too. No need to create and fund programs and materials; just put people in touch with each other.

This organization has responded swiftly to referrals of Veterans for much-needed dental services. The Veterans I have referred have either experienced trauma related to warzone exposure or sexual trauma in the military. I have received positive feedback from Veterans who have been referred to this non-profit. Communication with this non-profit has been excellent.

I had the distinct pleasure of being a client of E4V. I was thoroughly impressed with the way that the services that were provided to me. The service came with a smile, it came with ease, courtesy, and most of all respect. Were it not for the great folks at E4V, I would have run into some major problems with my teeth. They were able to identify the issues that I had right after cleaning was done, straight away. I highly recommend such a great organization that treats vets with the utmost respect and professionalism.

I began my association with Everyone for Vets by helping to set up a nationwide network of dentists to provide care for veterans who qualify for their program. I was impressed with the organization and their goals. I know Dr. Theresa Cheng, the founder personally and was happy to help out. Their scope has grown to include many other facets of help to veterans who qualify. I recommend this organization wholeheartedly. They are organized, transparent and provide a great service to a very deserving group of people!

I work with veterans, including veterans exiting homelessness. Many of these veterans face multiple barriers in regaining self-sufficiency, including significant health challenges. Everyone For Veterans has played a significant role in helping combat veterans get much-needed dental health services over the years and their impact on the lives of these veterans has been huge!

I’m a dentist and a father of a Marine combat Veteran. I worked as a staff Prosthodontist at the VA and was disheartened by the number of Veterans that did not have dental benefits. I’m also in academics and found that not only does Everyone for Veterans work in the private sector, but they are also efficient in connecting Veterans to our dental school. The University of Iowa is making a difference and my colleagues in private practice have given me nothing but positive reports of the thoroughness and professionalism of the staff at Everyone for Veterans. It is a Win-Win.

What a great organization! We owe these veterans a lot. It's a wonderful "hands on" way to give back, and the recipients of our care are so appreciative. My hat's off to everyone involved in orchestrating the process!

Because of Everyone4veterans we have been able to gain access to EXCELLENT dental care for our combat vets. I am the Dental Clinic Director for Puget Sound Christian Clinic, and we offer dental care on a sliding scale discount for those less fortunate. However, some veterans can not afford the services they need even with a significant discount. That is when we reach out to collaborate with this great organization. We are committed to working together to help our bravest veterans access the care they deserve and desperately need.

What impresses me most about Everyone For Veterans is their geographic range. The ability to reach out to dentists across the country is brilliant. There are dentists in almost every community, as there are Vets who are in need of care. It is also a much needed service for Vets, as dental care is rarely available through the VA. Keep up the great work!
