We are a youth Lacrosse team located in Southern California that wanted to find a cuase for the kids to play for and help. We found the HEADstrong foundation from watching a lacrosse game on TV where one of the teams was wearing Lime Green shoe laces in support of the HEADstrong Foundation. HEADstrong was started by a sophmore Lacrosse player at Hofstra University before he passed away of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Our team adopted HEADstrong Foundation and joined the Score for A Cure program. Over the summer through donations the team raised $22,500 for HEADstrong. We went back to New Jersey this summer to play a tournament in Princton New Jersey and the family of Nick Colleluori showed up at the tournament to support our team. Our kids have been exposed to something that that no one can teach in school. They have learned valuable lessons and the need to take one day at a time. The team wears Lime Green uniforms to bring awareness so when they are asked every played on the team can tell Nick's story and what HEADstrong stands for.
