Great non profit!!! Full of love and happiness . As a special education teacher I can say this organization is the best organization in south Florida that provide high quality services to young adults with special needs .

this is a great program for disabled young adults. They are kept active and social and always learning. There is a garden, dance classes, field trips, parties, and learning activities.

What was once a dream, a vision, and an amazing idea has blossomed into a full blown reality. Each participant is recognized as an "Illuminator", this includes all the board of directors members of Illuminate Heart, the parents, the collaborators, our amazing Mayor of the city of Pembroke Pines, the full staff with its workers and its program director Jay Shecter of the Carl Shecter FOCAL POINT COMMUNITY CENTER of Pembroke Pines, all volunteers and its students.

We have achieved what we thought was impossible. Our Illuminators has touched the hearts and souls of all our surrounding community transmitting their love and passion for life. Each day that we gather together with our young Illuminators together with our community we see before our eyes people smiling with Love and Joy.

When we first joined together we all came to an agreement that the soul purpose of each of our participants was to achieve inner happiness, joy, confidence, and empowerment of each of our students Illuminators. Illuminate Heart is making a difference in people's lives and it is definitely letting the Sun shine brighter in people's lives. As it is said in Illuminate Heart, "WE ARE SHINING WITH LOVE".

As each day goes by we all look forward to meeting, and seeing each other again, and again, and again. The center piece that glues Illuminate Heart's operation and functions is based on music, art, singing, dancing, exercising together, and most of all enjoying all the great things that life can offer us all. We at Illuminate Heart are grateful and so thankful for all the blessings we have received. We gratefully thank each Illuminator that has given their donations, location, facilities, and transportation to each of student illuminators. It is through your loving support that Illuminate Heart's dream and vision has become a true reality. God has certainly worked his wonders for his children, thank you God Almighty.

My son Michael has cerebral palsy and since he graduated from high school in 2017 he's been a bit lonely. This is because high school gave him a social life. Now he's in college and does not have the opportunity to socialize like he used too in a daily basis. Illuminate Heart has a heart for people with disabilities and is giving them a social opportunity by engaging them in activities with others that are in the same need. This nonprofit organization is formed by teachers that have worked with individuals that have disabilities and know their needs and unselfishly are giving their lives to help Michael and others like Michael. Michael loves hanging out and spending time with all his friends and he looks forward to all the activities Illuminate Heart provides.

I am thankful to be part of a blossoming project to spread love to all but especially to young adults with special abilities. We have experienced many of our students graduate from high school and just stay home with nothing productive to do. Illuminate Heart, Inc. bridges the gap for these young adults by providing socializing and having opportunities to be productive instead of staying home. The young adults attending events have known each other for many years and continue to build on their friendship bonds. I am truly blessed to be an integral component of this bond. The Dance for Love was a total success because the place was filled with lots of love and positive energy.
