My husband and I heard a speaker from Every Child Ministry in our church eleven years ago. This speaker had served in Ghana as a missionary. She had profiles of children needing sponsors. As we were deciding which child to support, she suggested our child and told us about his personal like. Besides supporting this child, we joined Family Empowerment and are supporting a mother and her 4 children. Every Child Ministries (ECM) is a caring organization and I'm always getting updates on what is happening, new staff hires and my donation receipt. They care about their mission and the people they serve. The staff is very thoughtful and they care about their donors as well.

I have been a supporter of ECM for quite some time. I also have traveled with them to Ghana, West Africa and seen the mission first hand. It is amazing. The kids exuberate so much joy. I never fear where a penny of my support is being spent. Seems they make the most of every penny. Their ministry is simple and straight forward and serves many in so many ways, especially with the Godpel. Also with education, healt care, vocateional training. and more.

Every Child Ministries is a very well run, biblically based non-profit ministry with a wonderful leadership and support team. It started small, 40 years ago in Congo and now supports children and families in Uganda, Ghana and Congo. We've been supporting Every Child Ministries for many years, and plan to continue as God provides. We have a sponsored child in Uganda and Ghana, and try to support other projects coordinated by ECM as they are brought to our attention. This ministry helps children most in need, including with disabilities and families in extreme poverty. One of the primary goals is to introduce them to Jesus and help them grow in their faith. It's a blessing to be connected to ECM and a privilege to visit the locations and seeing the work firsthand.

I really enjoyed working for ECM. They have some top notch people! And the work they are doing for the Kingdom is incredible. It's extremely rewarding to be involved with this ministry because you know you are impacting lives for the better both in this life and in eternity. Every Child Ministries has been instrumental in getting Ghanaian children off the streets, transforming them (children) and empowering the families. As a student on the verge of dropping out of school due to financial constraints, I found myself at a crossroads. My dreams of obtaining a higher education were slipping away, overshadowed by the burden of tuition fees and living expenses. Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, ECM emerged as my beacon of hope, offering a lifeline that would change the course of my academic journey.

The journey began with a moment of desperation, as I faced the harsh reality of not being able to afford my education. It was a challenging time filled with uncertainty and fear of the unknown. However, amidst the turmoil, I stumbled upon ECM dedicated to supporting students in need, providing financial assistance to those on the brink of abandoning their academic pursuits.

With trembling hands and a heart heavy with apprehension, I reached out to the organization, laying bare my struggles and expressing my fervent desire to continue my education. What followed was a series of conversations and assessments, during which the organization evaluated my circumstances and assessed the extent of support I required.

To my immense relief and gratitude, the organization not only acknowledged my plight but also extended a helping hand, offering to sponsor my education in its entirety. It was a moment of overwhelming joy and disbelief as I realized that my dreams were no longer beyond reach.

With this organization's sponsorship, I was able to breathe a sigh of relief and refocus my energies on my studies. Freed from the shackles of financial worry, I immersed myself wholeheartedly in my academic pursuits, determined to make the most of the opportunity bestowed upon me.

But the organization's support went beyond just financial assistance; it served as a pillar of strength and encouragement throughout my academic journey. Their unwavering belief in my potential fueled my determination and instilled in me the confidence to overcome any obstacles that came my way.

Over the years, I have seen Every Child Ministries change lives of the most children, families and communities in Uganda. The poverty stricken and homeless Karamojong children were taken off the streets and rehabilitated back and this led to the introduction of agriculture to provide food security in Karamoja region. Several children have attained education through child sponsorship program. ECM being an inclusive organization, has continued to support children with albinism, children with disabilities and orphans through rescues and advocacy among others. Families are being supported through family empowerment program; the youth are also supported through the Next Step programs to enable them to live independent lives among others. To Every Child Ministries, its service is over and above self.

ECM is a non-profit very worthy of our support. Their missionaries are doing tremendous work in Africa. One couple in Uganda whom we support has even developed and produced a special sunscreen to help protect the sensitive skin of Uganda's albino children. They have also established and staffed a medical clinic to help the community's sick and needy. In everything they do, whether it is teaching the Word of God, helping locals learn productive trades of all kinds, or simply sowing seeds of love, kindness, and hope, these ECM missionaries along with their partners in the field are having a tremendous impact on the eternal destinies of countless lives in Africa. They deserve our fervent prayers and faithful support. May God be praised!

It warms my heart to see the beautiful child that I sponsor holding the small gift and card I sent her. It makes you feel like the children are really getting what you send. I never felt this way with other children’s charities. ECM is doing wonderful work in Africa.

For the past nearly 30 years, it has been a privilege to be a part of Every Child Ministries' powerful ministry to the most needy children in Congo, saving them from life on the streets and caring for their physical, emotional and spiritual needs, just as Jesus would. I have been blown away by the number of children coming to the Lord as a result of the work of local pastors supported by ECM.

We are in total agreement with Every Child Ministries-that is-with their purpose, with the message they bring to the forgotten children they serve, and with the services they provide to these children. But, that is not the only reason we contribute to them. We consider their potential contributor base and realize that it is very small geographically. We have been contributing for about twenty years now after we first heard of this mission through the Sandy Rios program on WYLL.. Secondly, when we walked in unexpectedly we were amazed at how careful they were with their funds-no fancy trimmings-just good clean working space in, I believe, an old farmhouse.

I've known ECM for decades and they serve because they care for the people. The leadership of ECM are not making money off the backs of the poor. They are servants of Christ, and live lives of humility and faith. I personally have supported ECM for many years and will continue to do so because they are ministers of the gospel of Christ.

Every Child Ministries reaches out to people in three African countries and has done amazing work. Always looking to serve even more, a new ministry to the deaf has started. Deaf children will be able to go to school to hear the Gospel in sign language. Families are learning to start businesses to support themselves. The Gospel is being heard by more and more children through Sunday School lessons. God's Holy Spirit is moving and using Every Child Ministries as the vehicle.

A very worthwhile organization. They help children and their families by spreading the gospel by writing children’s Bible lessons in their language and now helping with schools for the deaf. Donators help sponsor deaf and other children so they can go to school. I am blessed to help sponsor one of those deaf children

I have been with ECM from its earlier beginnings as a sponsor for a young child. Year after year I watched this ministry grow helping children & families against great odds. There is no doubt in my mind that God has gone before them to open doors that previously had been closed. Where there is no hope, ECM, is there to bring hope and help those in need. It doesn't stop there either. They teach and bring opportunities to give people a life. The child I sponsored is now a young man learning animal husbandry. Once his schooling is completed he will be able to have a bright future where there once was none.

Year after year I see, hear and read about the amazing direction this ministry gives children, adults and families alike. They don't just 'frost the cake' in life situations; they carefully pull together all the ingredients for the 'cake' so that the end results are a beautiful cake and frosting, too! They train and engage the nationals to effectively minister to their own population. Probably the most powerful testimony to their work is how they are there for the long haul. They don't practice the in and out quick touch point; they invest physically, emotionally, and spiritually in the lives of each individual whom they work with. It's exhilarating to read stories from the people whose lives have been affected positively for the past several years. So grateful for ECM and its leadership.

What can I say? Of all the ministries I saw in Congo while I was a missionary, none compared to the work of this ministry. Even though I am no longer a missionary, this ministry now represents my mission to the great commission. Amen

This ministry is the real deal! Every Child Ministries is on the ground in African countries offering tangible support to children and their families. The stories have been very personally moving to read and it's clear they are changing lives through tangible relief and the Gospel.

My wife and I and our church have supported Every Child Ministries since the 1980's. We've had the Rousters visit us on several occasions. One our couples spent a year with the ministry in Africa. The ministry has found an important niche to share the Gospel. They scrutinize the use of every penny. Their dedication is phenomenal. My husband and I met the founders, the Rousters, over 20 years ago, at our church in Indiana. They were missionaries with our church and we loved learning about all the wonderful and very needed work/help they were doing in Africa! We have since supported over these many years, many different children and are so thankful to see and hear the great changes and help given in these people’s lives! Every year I grow more impressed with the accomplishments of this ministry. Peoples lives across Africa are improving every day. Hundreds of sponsored children are given a fresh start for a new future each year through school tuition, books, meals, and Saturday clubs where the love of Jesus and gospel story is shared with them. Furthermore, the ministry has grown into a deeper influence through the Next Step program of providing continuing education for students after graduation either through college or trade skills allowing them to find a meaningful occupation as an adult. Families with handicapped children now find the resources they need to provide for the challenging daily needs and health of their limited children. Most recently, families are strengthened through the entrepreneurship program which helps men and women start businesses to support their families and improve their self esteem. The remarkable thing is that every ECM initiative is aimed at practical steps to remove people from poverty and giving them a deep love of Jesus and hope for eternal life

ECM helps those who can’t help themselves. I traveled to Africa last year with ECM to check out the work being done there. ECM is the real deal.

I sponsor 2 young men in their early 20's. They are both in school to learn trades that will lead to a job so that they are able to support themselves. Both have lost parents and would be unable to get an education without sponsorship. They love the Lord and threw ECM are growing in their spiritual lives. I am so blessed by the correspondence that I receive from them. This is a great organization.

I have been an Every Child Ministry donor for over 20 years. I have never had any doubt about their integrity. They are transparent with where the money they receive is allocated. In addition, they show actual success stories and send out newsletters on a regular basis.

I have been supporting this ministry with my donations for 35 years, and because their international office is close to my home, I volunteer there occasionally as well. This gives me the opportunity to see how they operate and get a feel for the heart of the staff.
They have only a handful of paid staff here in the states, using most of their funds for the native, indigenous staff members in Africa. They are vey good at developing and utilizing a group of volunteers.

They are unashamedly Christian, proclaiming Jesus. but they also treat the people's needs, physically and emotionally. When they notice a new need, they quickly find a solution and do it, not wasting time in drawn out discussions and committee meetings while a need goes unmet. An example of that is the sunglasses they immediately collected and sent once the need was discovered for albino children. This was followed up with developing and making sunscreen there in the villages.

All of the supported children write regular letters to their sponsors. When they age out of Haven of Hope Home, as mine did, ECM has a program called Next Steps that helps them get vocational training or go to college so that they can be self-supporting adults.

Another thing I appreciate is, the accountability. Each of the African staff is reports back regularly to headquarters in the states, and the director and other staff make regular trips to Africa to see what is going on, and address any issues, or new needs that need to met.

This ministry is wholly transparent - you can drop by the international office in Indiana unannounced and ask all the questions you want. If you get a chance to do that, you will realize they truly care deeply about all those they minister to in Africa. I Highly highly recommend it as a ministry where your get "value" for your money.

We have been supporting Mark Luckey for many years. We were very pleased when he joined Every Child Ministries as it gave him a great opportunity to continue to do the ministry he had been doing. We increased our monthly support because we recognized the ministry was doing so well.

I work with ECM Uganda but i found it fulfilling to work with vulnerable families. Giving one hope through evangelism, any support remits a feeling of happiness from them. I have grown to love and share my resources with needy families.

I live near the ECM home office and stopped in for a visit about 15 years ago. Lorella Rouster stopped what she was working on and took the time to answer all my questions about this God-honoring ministry that reaches "the forgotten children of Africa." I began to volunteer, met the truly dedicated staff, and eventually ended up visiting Uganda. Having the privilege of meeting the Ugandan staff and precious children whose lives are being changed, we now sponsor two young people whose letters and pictures as they have grown up show the fruit of this ministry. It is an honor to volunteer at ECM and be a part of something that truly does offer "Hope for today, Hope for tomorrow, and Hope for eternity."

My husband and I have followed and supported ECM since it's humble beginnings many years ago in Michigan. We now live in Texas but continue to follow the ministry, often being amazed at the amount of growth we have seen; supporting so many different groups in Africa, reaching so many children, families and adults through different outreach groups. We now support two children through the HAVEN OF HOPE where the children are helped physically, emotionally and spiritually. It's name is perfect because they are able to give children a sure HOPE - for a better future and most importantly, that they may know Jesus and his sure promises.

I've partnered with Every Child Ministries for over ten years -- praying for their work, writing letters to and sponsoring young people, making and sending various items. I've had personal communication with the same U.S. staff for years via email, and they've always been friendly and honest. I sent an email once saying I was troubled about how something was being handled, and Mark Lucky (the director) called me personally to talk about it. He took my concern seriously, and I was able to see things from his perspective. What I appreciate about sponsoring children and youth with them is that I get personal, specific updates on those I sponsor with frequent photos in various settings.

Having come upon Every Child Ministries through an introduction to Executive Director Mark Luckey, my heart is filled with a powerful dose of what is good in this world. The primary word to describe ECM is a word they often use in their communication - HOPE. All one has to do is be exposed to the look in the eyes of the precious, often-times vulnerable children of Uganda that Every Child Ministries has dedicated its mission to, and you can't help being filled up. What I personally find to be the most inspiring of all they do is the work to support children with albinism, in a region of the world that it is probably least understood. ECM is a ministry dedicated to reaching the children and families of Africa with the Gospel. The love of Jesus is very apparent in all they do. I've always been impressed with their careful use of resources as is evidenced by their humble headquarters in Hebron, Indiana. I started sponsoring many years ago after researching many charities. Every Child Ministries is dedicated to the orphans and widows of Africa, just as The Word of God commands us to do. These are Christ centered, Spiritually dedicated Christian people that love The Lord and it shows through their work and Faith in Christ. Approximately 97% or 98% of every dollar goes directly to the children and not to make the CEO rich, which is unheard of in the majority of charities out there today. Do your homework as I did and you will be extremely comfortable that your hard earn money will actually benefit these children and their families in Christ’s Name!

My husband and I attended the concert of a Christian Artist 10 years ago who was promoting child sponsorship through Compassion. At the same time, our local Christian Bookstore was promoting World Vision. We decided to sponsor a child then but wanted to be sure that the majority of our money would go directly to that child instead of administrative costs. After doing much research, we chose EVERY CHILD MINISTRIES (ECM) because they had the lowest overhead and had been in Africa longer than the others.

We continue in our commitment to ECM ten years later because this organization remains true to its mission. They utilize wonderful volunteers and various fundraisers to help keep their overhead to a minimum. We regularly receive newsletters and emails but are never bombarded by them. We always receive a prompt answer to any question we might have. We are impressed by the report cards, pictures, and progress reports sent to us on a regular basis. The best part, however, are the handwritten, heartfelt letters and cards that we receive personally from our sponsored child. We've kept them all and have them posted in a photo album! We highly recommend EVERY CHILD MINISTRIES!

An outstanding organization that truly does what it promises by helping children achieve a better life now, and in their future. They freely provide proof they do what they promise, and all but the most minimal funding goes to the various project needs for the children.

Poverty stricken and homeless Karamojong children were taken off the streets and rehabilitated. Several children have attained education through the education and child sponsorship program. Through advocacy, Persons with Albinism among other key populations, have had the chance to access education and health services. I found ECM through a search engine several years ago and I praise God for that day! I love how Christ-centered and child-centered this ministry is. I've been donating to/following/partnering with ECM for over 10 years. They have been consistently transparent (as far as I can tell) in their newsletters/prayer updates and financial statements. The office staff have been prompt and friendly to me in their communications throughout the time I've been involved with them. I help sponsor two youths through their ministries and greatly appreciate the varied photos and detailed personal updates they are able to give me. The older one writes me regularly and the letters contain a lot biblical, encouraging reminders. (The younger one doesn't know English yet).

My husband and I have been child sponsors for 8 years and visited Haven of Hope in Ghana about 7 years ago where we had the opportunity to meet our sponsored child. We were so struck by the love that the children had for one another and the joy that they had - they really ministered to us and we realized even more how God was using ECM to create a family and a home. it was so beautiful to see what God was doing. About 6 years ago, we became Board members and have had a chance to see how careful the organization is in spending the funds that have been donated and we've been further amazed at how God provides at just the right time and somehow stretches every dollar to accomplish his purposes. I have known the Rousters since they began ECM and am constantly amazed by what God has done through this charity. They spend very little on administrative services because of all the volunteers through the years and have done so much with so little with God's help in multiplying the gifts for His service. A few years ago I attended one of ECM's annual fundraising banquets and was impressed with some amazing facts and statistics. On any given Sunday morning well over 100,000 children attend Sunday School's in central Africa. That's enough kids to overflow the Ohio State football stadium! The Sunday School's they attend are a diriect result of staff training from ECM.

I have been a donor with this nonprofit for about three years. They help provide for Children that are homeless in Africa and provide schooling so they can learn skills to improve their lifestyle. My husband and I had the privilege of serving for two weeks with ECM in Uganda with the Afayo Project. Seeing firsthand the work that is being done there was so encouraging . My wife and I have been child sponsors through Every Child Ministries for about five years now, and we appreciate the fact that this nonprofit squeezes every penny out of every dollar given for the various areas of ministry ECM touches. Their administration overhead costs are VERY LOW, and that allows more donation dollars to be used for ministering to the lives of people they serve in the field. The efficient use of a dedicated core of veteran volunteers at their international headquarters is the primary reason for this high ratio of donor dollars to the field versus admin costs. The folks of this organization truly care for people. Whether it's the orphaned children of AIDS, the adult women who have been entrapped into the Tracosi (not sure of the spelling) slave trade or the sick from all the diseases of their area, ECM will do whatever they can to help out. They love them all and let them know it.

But their overriding goal and main objective is bringing the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all these people. They know that no matter what else they do, if they don't point them to Christ all will be in vain.

And every dollar that comes in, they stretch to go as far as possible, but there are always projects waiting for the funds to come in. They make do with a very small salary so that more can be available for the work. Their volunteers are very dedicated and faithful.

But they are suffering from the same malady so many organizations are, new, younger volunteers are not forthcoming and they may have to begin paying for some of the work that volunteers have traditionally done.

I researched Every Child Ministries. This ministry has a genuine concern and love for the work that it does. It is one that is honest and has integrity. I have been giving personally for about 5 years now and have I have gotten the Missions Ministry at my church to give.

This organization teaches and saves children! They are small but mighty in love and in all they do for the children of Africa. They do what we can't personally do. They are hands on at great sacrifice, but with great love. I have been a volunteer in the past and have been a donor for over 10 years. I sponsor 4 children and wish I could do more!

Every Child Ministries does an amazing work in reaching out to the forgotten children in Africa. My family has know John and Lorella Rouster, the founders of ECM for many years. It is amazing to me that this couple began as missionaries to the people of Congo and have grown to serve children and adults in Congo, Ghana and Uganda. When others in Uganda were trying to reach out to the refugee children, many who had been forced to become child soldiers, they went to John and Lorella for advise. ECM has many ministries serving street children, orphans, training Sunday school workers, helping women released from slavery. It is interesting and worth reading about their different ministries. Each one started because John and Lorella saw a need; God touched their hearts and a new ministry was started. There are so many organizations trying to help those less fortunate. If you want to help desperate children, you can know that your money and support will be saving these "African Jewels"!

I have been a donor and a casual volunteer for Every Child MInistries for 20 years. Because of my personal involvement I can attest with authority and experience that the organization is rock solid. Their level of financial and personal integrity is beyond question. They operate a huge ministry with a skeletal paid staff here is in the US. Most of the administrative work is handled by volunteers, so that the money can go to the forgotten children and ministries in Africa.

As a child sponsor, I have a relationship with my child. I regularly receive pictures and reports on his school work and behavioral development. As soon as they are old enough they send pictures and letters to you. (English is taught in Ghana) I am currently corresponding with my 16 yr. old child on a regular basis, after 6 years of sponsorship.

I donate to several organizations, but I feel so strongly about the work ECM is accomplishing that anytime I have extra money I send it to ECM and trust them to use it where needed. We LOVE ECM. We have been involved as volunteers and donors for about 8 years. We sponsor a darling girl in Ghana. We just got a letter from her today and she is doing well in her studies and talks about the Lord. Very lovely charity to donate to. They go to places other missions have not been able to stay in because of harsh environments. They really make a difference in the areas they serve. They also make you feel a part of their ministry as they send hand-written thank you notes, and you get letters from your sponsored child. We also get updates from our child's teacher regarding her academic progress. They email great newsletters with actual pictures (not stock photos) with details on their work and missionaries. I highly recommend ECM. They are financially accountable and worthwhile.

This is due to the many wonderful volunteers serving the ministry as well as administration staff that is very diligent in watching their spending! The best thing about Every Child Ministries is that they are constantly reaching out to those in need. The directors, John & Lorella Rouster, are eager to help whomever they can, all in the name of Christ. They operate on a small budget, but their service has great consequences. The broad scope of impact this ministry has on the life of Africans is staggering - from helping women bonded in slavery to bringing clean drinking water to villages, to helping young children whose parents have been killed due to war or illness - is simply amazing.

I began supporting ECM because a friend was going overseas as a missionary with them. As I have watched this ministry, I have been impressed with their transparency and accountability with the funding they receive. The use of email to send information, receipts, and prayer requests shows that they are being good stewards of their finances.

But I am more impressed with their desire to serve others that they contact through their work. Both donors and recipients are treated with value.

The frequent updates on their work in many locations gives me current things to be thankful for and to pray about. I feel like 'one of the team".

I went to Ghana on a mission trip in the summer of 2008 with ECM and spent my time at Haven of Hope. When I went to Haven of Hope, my eyes were opened to how God loves and takes care of the "least of these." through the people who contribute to and work for ECM. ECM loves these children with all their hearts. The children are loved, cared for, appreciated, cherished and taught the good news and hope of Jesus. I saw it. I experienced it. It was real. I met incredible and resilient children who have been through the worst experiences, yet they sing of their heavenly father and praise His name constantly. When I went to HOH, I was expecting to teach the children about God through VBS. Wow - did God show me that I was the one who needed to learn something through these children. These children are simply amazing. My time at Haven of Hope was an experience I will never forget. I sponsor one of the children I met at HOH. She wants to be a nurse. I do pray sometimes for whar ECM is doing for the children.I was prompte4d to go another level in warfare when I learned about the slave shrines in Africa since then I have been praying for all of them throughout the provinces of Africa to be eradicated.

I became associated with ECM back in 2006 because of their focus on impoverished children in Africa, all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. SInce that time I have had an opportunity to become a financial supporter of this ministry and to sponsor a child in Africa. The impact of this ministry is greater than it's humble origins and low key website would indicate. Although not a high profile ministry, ECM has had a pivotal and lasting impact in several countries in Africa. Long before Kony became known in the international media, ECM staff were in Africa serving thousands of children who were traumatized by his reign of terror, quietly meeting the spiritual, material, and emotional needs of these chidlren. Dollar for dollar, I know this ministry is working amazing things in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, because it is the power of HIs Spirit and HIs love that are being shared by ECM missionaries and staff. Although I also support other higher profile ministries involving children, ECM is closest to my heart!!!

We continue to support ECM with enthusiasm. Every visit to their Hebron Headquarters is encouraging. Every Child Ministries works to serve some of the neediest people, especially children, in Africa. The stories behind the people they help are heart wrenching, but the hope these people find in Jesus is beyond comprehension. The ministry works with sponsoring destitute children, freeing and rehabilitating slaves, feeding street children, among other things. They are small and don't always have many resources, but they are very innovative and responcible with what God does provide. They are also very greatful to donors, even for small amounts. Most importantly, the workers have great faith and believe in the power of prayer.

The work that is done to aid children and families in African countries has touched our hearts so deeply that it is a pleasure to volunteer and feel like we are a small part of something God inspired and blessed. Newsletters report new and ongoing projects on a regular basis - from providing schooling and housing to some children, serving warm meals to other street children, to working to stop child traficing and the practice of giving a child to a "priest" and that child becoming a slave for the rest of her life. The Rousters, as directors of the mission, are personal friends who have such integrity that we know any donations given are dollars stretched to provide the maximum benefit to children in desparate situations.

I've been a volunteer with ECM for about 26 years. One of the reasons I love this ministry is because the directors not only use every donation to it's maximun potential but they do it without wasting anything, or being frivolus. They have very few paid employees, so most everything that is done, is done by volunteer help. The fact that ECM has been around for this many years, trusting in God's faithfulness to provide for every need and lead them each step of the way is a testament to God's love for the African people that ECM serves!

I have volunteered with ECM over the years and been a Donor regularly almost from the begining, watched this grow from a basement office to an international ministry reaching many children with physical and spiritual needs. I am presently planning to go with them on a summer mission team next summer.
