Hug is a wonderful organization. I was having the most difficult time trying to trap one of our feral cats who was sick. I was amazed when Hug spent hours and days working to trap him. Their dedication goes above and beyond. To the person who gave a one star review because you had difficulty reaching someone at Hug, odds are they were all out saving furry babies. They carefully screen all potential applicants who are looking to adopt and all of the animals that they desperately want to find good homes for, are healthy.

I have volunteer for Humane Urban Group (HUG) and for the past 5 years and got started when HUG provided help and guidance when I found kittens under the porch of the local library. Volunteers from HUG trapped the kittens arranged for spaying neutering and vaccinations. I then became aware of community cats in my neighborhood and again HUG helped me trap and arrange for spaying and neutering. All volunteers are dedicated to the care of the kitties. HUG on occasion will post cats for adoption not being fostered by HUG and now we now screen such postings very, very carefully to make sure that the person for whom we are posting the kitties for adoption really wants them to be adopted. Please give us a try--all kitties are healthy, fostered and in need of loving homes.

I received an email from adopt a pet about a kitten Phantom and Beauty available.
And the contact info was human urban group and I sent an email but no response. It also had listed and encourage applicants to call Lisa and the phone number listed. She was ver curt and angry that I called her number. She said she should not have listed her phone number. When I've asked her for application, she abruptly told me she can't allow anyone who never had cats before! But I did have 2norwegians cats for 15 years and died of old age! Also I told her about the email I sent her and explained that I did have cats. She just was so angry that I called her. This humane urban group should make sure that posting kittens cats or any dogs that they are ligitimate! And true, and not break caring people's hearts!
