Mission: Common Ground Community Rescue Network is a 501(c)(3) animal rescue and public charity organization that applies our four core C.A.R.E. programs to all of our interactions and experiences: Community, Advocacy, Rescue and Education. This strategy helps our small, 100% volunteer-focused team network, partner, collect, distribute, teach and grow hope where it’s needed most. Sustained 100% by public donations and support. Growing Community—One Heartbeat at a Time. OUR MISSION What began as one woman’s desire to bring additional aid to invisible communities has spread to over 248,000+ lbs. of critical supplies spread across 14 states through a small team of action-driven, grass-root givers. Unearthing towns functioning on vapors where commerce has dried up, along roads rarely traveled. Starting in 2017, our ripples of connections grew as did those we found needing a helping hand of hope. The social needs so great from human to animal that it led to the development of the non-for-profit, Common Ground Animal Rescue Network (CGARN) until changing our name to widen our mission—Common Ground Community Rescue Network (CGCRN). We continue to grow from the ground up building a foundation built upon our first-hand commitment to show up in communities in crisis. Today, our miles are many as we cross into a multi-state compassionate action network.

I met Stacey Edge years ago hoping to foster 2 dogs, that particular foster wasn't the right fit but I knew Stacey was starting things I wanted to be a part of. I have now adopted 2 dogs from Common Ground and now I am a board member and I am honored to be in that role. The compassion and caring that is exhibited is extraordinary!!! Very proud to be a part of this organization!!

Common Ground Community Rescue Network, has responded superbly with donations of blankets, water, tous and clothes to our soup kitchen's needs. In addition it has provided volunteers when we were low and it has always been a caring, active and most generous response from their folks.
Additionally, I volunteer with the at other events and am touched and inspired by their generosity, their kindness and their spirit.

This group goes above and beyond in their role of assisting animal rescues. They collect needed supplies for the rescues and animal control facilities. They also help transport animals from open access shelters to rescues.

After losing my dog to cancer, Common Ground welcomed me with open arms. It’s been therapeutic and so rewarding to work with a group who puts their heart and soul into every animal they encounter. They have even embraced my daughter, who wants to run a rescue, contribute and feel included. They also go above and beyond for communities in need. I can’t say enough good about Common Ground, they are ripple makers and make magic happen.

What joy we feel reading these beautiful words from you Katie. You and Presley simply make our hearts sing with all you bring. Thank you for showing up at our events to shine out loud for others, for showing Presley how to live her life with one eye open towards others with compassion. We are honored you share time and space with our team. Many more moments to share and learn with the youngest in our view.

This wonderful group helped our family foster, and ultimately adopt, our amazing dog Rocky. Rocky was HW+ and they provided continuous support while we helped him through the process of finally becoming HW free! Just as we were preparing to adopt him, my father passed away. As the emotional impact devastated me and my family, our financial situation declined too. CGRN provided us with food and supplies not only for Rocky, but also for our other two dogs. The people in this group are outstanding. Their compassion knows no bounds. I highly recommend them as a resource to not only help our two legged community , but also our four legged!

Thank you for sharing this beautiful story of our impact with your family. We loved watching Rocky [and his brother Gibbs] find their places. It has been an honor to watch you take in that scared, large baby and turn him into the love muffin he is today. No other family was more perfect to show him the way. Thank you to your family for opening your homes then your hearts.

I have watched this rescue from the beginning. It's grown so much. Becoming bigger and better then ever. Stacey has put her heart & soul along with others who are compassionate as she is in helping animals and helping communities in need, no matter here or in other states. They are passionate to make a difference.

The hours you have spent next to us, in all kinds of weather and achieving momentous support loading donations to drive into the night for delivery is simply INCREDULOUS. You have witnessed it all and seen the impact with us from the beginning. We are so honored to have your personal imprint woven throughout all we aid. Thank you for standing next to us for all these years.

My journey began with this rescue when I offered to foster a dog from Kentucky. I, of course, was a foster fail and ended up adopting him. Since then, I've gone on to foster a few others and have also adopted a second pup through their fostering program. The area I live in is rather rural and Common Ground is always ready to step in and help out any way they can. Sometimes, it's supplies, a helping hand, contact information or just some sound advice when things get overwhelming. The difference made in the communities they touch and the souls they rescue is nothing short of amazing. Their work is never done and yet they carry on regardless of the load they bear. I'm honored to work with them.

Thank you for walking this way to share your beautiful soul. Whether sharing your voice with a life alone and in need of help or giving that help yourself—we are beyond honored to have you as a part of this team. Being a foster, adopter, volunteer and friend has been a journey that we are so proud to call our own with you. Thank you for sharing heart and home with Poncho and Elvis as well as all the ones you helped shift to their new homes. We are better for you in all ways.

This is truly a grassroots organization that exists solely because of the kindness of humans. Whether they're supplying downstate animal shelters with food or helping seniors enjoy a nice Christmas, Common Ground is simply out there doing good. I have volunteered at events and I trust them with my donations.

Morgan we appreciate the years you have walked along side our organization. Thank you for asking others to join you in bringing additional resources to our drives so that we can give more to those experiencing a critical crisis. Your 'Hot Chocolate Station' brought such joy to last year's Senior party. Thank you for adding your light to our mission to support the most vulnerable in society.

Our most humble response to another who came out for our first fundraising event. We are grateful that our team was able to raise funds to help our core C.A.R.E. program grow. Community, Advocacy, Rescue and Education are where every dollar flows from our donors to our communities in crisis. Thank you for adding your voice to our story.

Always great people to work with. My experience has always been positive. Cecilia is who i had the pleasure of working with. They do so much for the animals and for the community. i donated a bunch of stuff that ended up going to someone in need with her help. Thank you so much Rachelle for offering your thoughts on our organization. We love reaching into other areas to provide another layer of support to those providing shelter to many who would otherwise be invisible.
