Mission: IICD is a private nonprofit organization. Its first volunteer, education and travel programs began in 1997. From 2000 to 2005 IICD participants had participated in Zambia, Mozambique, India, and Vietnam.

Programs: 18 month program- 6 months training and volunteering in USA, 6 months community development work in Mozambique and Malawi, 6 months sharing, spreading and concluding. Community development involves training inspirational local teachers or mobilizing the community against the spread of HIV or improving conditions for children. Development occurs within established projects run by the humanist organization Humana People to People.
