Piggins And Banks

Wonderful organization. I visited them several times and saw how wonderful they are with the animals they take care of.

When visiting Piggins & Banks I was surprised to see so many happy piggies! They enjoy lots of space and many friends with whom to socialize. The sanctuary is clean and well managed by loving caretakers.

This pig and animal sanctuary in Virginia does such incredible work. They truly care about their animals and find ways to rise to the moment when the unexpected happens, including the adoption of six piglets last Christmas who would have been euthanized if not for Piggins and Banks. They also are very good at using social media to communicate to followers why pigs are so important. My fiance and I sponsor three pigs at Piggins and Banks and have visited once (and plan to do so again). If you're looking for a way to make a difference and support pigs, I highly recommend Piggins and Banks!

With big heart, lots of patience and willingness to put in literal hard work, I cannot think of luckier rescue animals than the pigs and friends at Piggins and Banks. Please support this nonprofit if you are able to. While I'm writing this review, please do your research before you bring a pig as a pet into your home. They will grow big. Please be prepared! With your help, Piggins and Banks can help more pigs!

Piggins and Banks are committed to the health and welfare of the residents at the sanctuary. The Riddles do a wonderful job of showing the community how our donations help the animals and directly and positively impact their life, health care, and living conditions, all the while educating the community about pig health/safety and how intelligent and supportive pigs are. The need is there and they are bringing awareness to the community. They seen a need and filled it, selflessly dedicating themselves to this mission. Sadly many people do not research before getting a pet pig or consider the costs to maintain a healthy diet and vet care, which then falls on a rescue/shelfter, which is very costly. Friends not food is one of their mottos we live by. We own a pig and found Piggins via Instagram we have watched piggins and Banks evolve from the ground up. While we never intend to rehome our pig if something tragic happened we would ask Piggins and Banks to take him. The Riddles are compassionate, driven and committed to giving lost, forgotten and abused animals a loving and forever home.

My support Piggins and Banks stems from not just my belief in the mission but the fact they personify what a great and well-run animal rescue should be.

First their absolute commitment to the care and treatment of the pigs and other animals that are living their best lives in their forever home.

Secondly Aaron and Christie are extremely transparent in where the contributions go, and how donations are used. In a combination of channeling MacGyver with know-how, the staff make use of the donations to the fullest extent which in the end provides a great quality of life to the residents of Piggins and Banks.

This nonprofit far exceeds expectations. They more than meet their mission of providing a safe and loving home for animals, specifically pigs. Through their website and social media donors and followers can see exactly what is going on day to day at Piggins and Banks and where their funds are going. It also becomes apparent very quickly that the management of the nonprofit are personally invested in this mission. They also excel at donor relations. I am kept in the loop with pertinent information as well as personalized attention. I feel valued, while at the same time have the deepest confidence that my personal information is kept secure and private. They do a good job of managing expectations before exceeding them. I am never led on in terms of what is a real and tangible goal. Piggins and Banks is a nonprofit where I feel like part of the team by being a donor, which makes me more personally invested. They are also a nonprofit where you can come see for yourself with guided tours that are both educational and fun.
