Laurie Dearinger and Blue Horse Rescue work tirelessly to save horses, and they do a fabulous job!!!! A couple of years ago I rescued a beautiful little QH mare from an abusive and neglectful owner. Laurie agreed to take Diamond into the rescue, and because of her Diamond was able to live out her last few years of life in luxury, with excellent vet and farrier care, good food, a warm shelter, and most importantly surrounded with love. Laurie and BHR are one of the few horse rescues that I think actually do it right. I can't say enough good things about this organization.
Of all the rescue organizations in Northern California, Blue Horse Rescue is the only one that
responded to my plea for help when I needed it the most. They are the most supportive,
non-judgmental, knowledgeable; and truly caring and compassionate group of people I have ever been blessed to know. I thank them with all my heart for their courage in stepping up to the task of assisting my horses and myself on the long road to recovery.
