Mission: VODEC’s Mission is to provide services to persons with disabilities in order that those persons may live, work and participate in the community in the least restrictive environment to achieve their full potential. VODEC’s Purpose: To support & advocate for persons with disabilities so those persons have opportunities to develop to their fullest potential, to interact with society, to experience a sense of belonging, & to contribute something of themselves at their own level of ability. VODEC is a non-profit organization providing vocational and residential services for people with disabilities which enables them to gain employment and live independently.
Geographic areas served: Western Iowa and Eastern Nebraska
Programs: Iowa services: the vocational development center, inc. Provided services to 288 unique clients, many in multiple services that included: shelter work - 109 clients, supported employment - 28 clients, day hab - 73 clients, scl - 91 clients, pre-vocational - 79 clients, students - 56 clients

Provided services to 380 unique clients, many in multiple services that included: habilitation assisted day - 24 clients, habilitation supported day - 59 clients, habilitation work station - 235 clients, habilitation assisted residential - 27 clients, habilitation supported residential - 68 clients, habilitation in home - 28 clients, habilitation supported employment - 44 clients, students 53 clients
