I am a cancer survivor, currently undergoing treatment for Stage IV breast cancer that spread to the lung, and Pink Warrior Angels helped pay my bills in this difficult moment when I am also going through divorce, and facing many other difficulties, like not being able to find work, among other tragedies happening in my life right now, when I am the sole provider for my 14-year-old son and myself. Thank you, Pink Warrior Angels, for making things easier for me in these difficult times.

This is a wonderful organization that has been very helpful to my family during my sons battle with brain cancer. Thank you Pink Warrior Angels! ❤️
I live in Louisiana and was diagnosed with Stage 1c IDC in May 2024. I was totally shocked and scared to death! Julie, the founder of PWA, was the first person to reach out to me, share her story and offer words of encouragement and comfort! When my DMX was scheduled, PWA sent me a care package with lots of helpful items, such as a mastectomy pillow (life saver!), a robe with inside pockets to hold drains, a seatbelt cushion and lots of new makeup to help me feel better about myself! Their encouragement and support helped me get through the absolute toughest experience of my life! They truly are angels! ❤️
I have had the pleasure of working with this fantastic organization and meeting many other women who they support. My sister was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and they immediately answered all my questions and sent her resources to get the help she needed. I will always support them any way I can.
When I attended the YSC conference in Las Vegas in March of this year, I was fortunate enough to come across the pink warrior angels booth! They were incredible from the very first moment that we met until this very day. Truly, I appreciate the help and support for me and my family with our rent. I never asked for cancer and all that came along with it, but I am grateful for angels like them to help me and my family and a great time of need! Thank you so much!
Great Nonprofits and Pink Warrior Angels were such a Godsend in a time of great need for my family and I! Thank you so much to the generous sponsors who seek out organizations to support those afflicted with Breast Cancer. I am beyond grateful, and know what an amazingly positive difference your donations make in the lives of so many in need. God Bless every one of you!
I have been going through Cancer Treatments for 5 going on 6 months. The stress that my family has been going through has been so hard on our finances and mental lives but most of all physical. I was diagnosed with stage IV cancer. I didn't know how we were going to make it. I contacted the Pink Warrior Angels nonprofit. They came through with a GOD-sent miracle for our Financial needs. I cried just reading the email.
Thank You Pink Warrior Angels

PWA has been such a great help to us! They have helped us with bills when we were in financial hardship due to cancer. Started a fundraiser for us and have been there for our family during this difficult time. We are so thankful that this organization is here and local. We are grateful for the board members, volunteers, and sponsors who make things possible.

I have been fighting my metastatic breast cancer battle for seven years for the most part very independently. I have been trying my best but I am currently unable to work so I am not able to help myself like I was able to before. Thank you to the Pink Angels of Texas for helping me so I would not have to stress about losing everything I have worked so hard to get back after my initial diagnosis. I am blessed to have found your organization.
My name is Ashley I am battling Metastatic Renal cell Carcinoma. The Pink Warrior Angels have helped me immensely financially and have said things like "Remember, it takes steps to get out of the financial situation and it takes time and it is ok. You will get there." They don't just share funds they care and without them, I would be lost. It's a wonderful thing to be cared about by people you have never even met.
My daughter was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in November 2022 right after her 50th birthday. Her physical, mental, emotional and financial life crashed as she struggled though her treatments. As her caregiver, I found that I had more roles to fulfil than I thought even possible while feeling as though shock waves were tearing through my heart and soul. Pink Warrior Angels gave me hope during a time when despair filled our lives. What a wonderful and blessed gift to those of us who desperately need support. You have made us feel like we are not alone in this fight. Thank you so much for your support and assistance!
Pink Warrior Angels to me, this is an organization that takes the bits and pieces that have been broken , radiated, and that have had numerous chemotherapy sessions and let you know it’s OK for you to live. This organization, reinforces, unity, oneness, and that no matter what we are whole, I’m grateful for this safe place and place of healing. My experience with Pink Warrior Angels and Runway Of Hope 2023 has changed my life forever.
HELLO MY NAME IS MS. BROWN AND I WANTED TO SAY THAT YOU TO PINK WARRIOR ANGELS FOR THE HELP WITH THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. MY FIRST DIAGNOSIS WAS IN 2/2017& again in 2020 Dec...I definitely thank you guys for nonprofit programs because with everything going on with just trying to survive and fight this battle the assistance you all provide definitely take some stresses away...
After my second diagnosis I was given the Pink Warrior Angels information. I was shocked that I was approved and gifted assistance to help with some of my bills. Thank you for easing my mind and helping while I battle breast cancer again.
Receiving a chemo kit to help brighten your child’s day while they are fighting leukemia is quite a blessing! Thank you so much for the gifts!
They reach out to me to help me go over the application for financial aid now I have a good opinion about them , this is one of the best organizations that truly want to help women with breast cancer
I would like to thank the Pink Warrior Angels for your generosity. It is truly a blessing that you are so giving to those who are in need. It is a lot to think about your condition and worry about the everyday problems. Thank you for your help.

We are honored to help where we can. We wish you postive and healing vibes in your journey.
Thank you to everyone that helped in the support of my recovery. Getting help with a month's rent and my car insurance from Pink Warriors of Texas gave me the space I needed to recover and do physical therapy after my double mastectomy for very aggressive HER2+ breast cancer. Through tenacious physical therapy I was able to rediscover my love of painting and created a zoo of creatures that represent the many emotions I went thru in my struggle to battle cancer alone. I hope to one day pay it forward by creating a coloring book to help children understand the process of cancer treatments through the eyes of the family pet.
I started to paint small squares of animals as part of my physical therapy after surgery to battle neuropathy. I had previously been a glass artist and I forgot I could paint. Or maybe I just forgot I needed to paint. I told myself I was just gonna make some fun animals and it wasn't gonna be the art therapy I went thru with chemo that laid out my dark angst on canvas but when I was done creating 6 different water loving creatures I had to laugh as I lined them all up because each one definitely conveyed one of the many feelings I went thru during my battle against cancer.
The first one called Punches Fish, an octopus, was about my time with 6 drains after surgery. As I recovered from surgery with 4 drains for a month, I stated that I now understand why octopus always look so grouchy in their documentaries. In my exploration of whether they are truly grouchy or just victims of the "look". I found that they will just punch a fish out of spite................look it up on YouTube! Fish Caught In Headlights...........a goldfish painting with the shimmer of metallic paints on a birch 8x8 wood square exemplifies my 'cancer stare'. This fishy makes me grin because I know more than once I wore this stare just tryin to comprehend things................................and he reminds me that I will always be an art therapist cause the art never lies. I am grateful my community, The Pink Warriors of Texas, gave me the gift of time to not only heal but also recall my love of painting to help share the message of cancer recovery back into the community and keep the dialogue going..................
Thank you for helping me continue my purpose on this planet while fighting cancer!

pinkwarriorangels 07/10/2022
Thank you for sharing your purpose while fighting this disease. Much love and healing thoughts your way.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in April of 2021. After genetic testing, I learned that I carry a mutated ATM gene. My mother and grandmother had breast cancer and now it was my turn. The medical bills and expenses certainly pile up quickly once treatment begins. I discovered Pink Warrior Angels during my journey and they have been a blessing. I haven't been eligible for any financial assistance but have so many expenses to carry on my own. I am so grateful that Pink Warrior Angels has been the only financial support program that I qualified for. Their assistance will help me breathe a little. Thank you so much for your help!
My journey breast cancer started in Dec 2016. It has bee a difficult road to travel but God has been good and I can say I am till alive! along with all the medical battles I have had to face comes along the financial battle too. What a blessing PWA has been to my life and huge relief financially for my family. I am beyond grateful for the help they have provided in paying some of my bills. This disease comes with such a heavy burden mentally, physically and financially. But we keep fighting, being a warrior with God's help, family support and assistance of such wonderful organization like Pink Warrior Angels. I am able to smile and actually enjoy my time with my children. Thank you!
When you receive a diagnosis of breast cancer, a myriad of thoughts worries and fears cross your mind. The financial aspect and how to pay the growing medical bills is definitely at the top of the list. I was very fortunate to have a friend share with me the financial assistance available through Pink Warriors. I was so thankful to be approved for assistance. Through the generous donation of sponsors for this charity organization, we were blessed with help, which reminded us are not alone on this journey.
Thank you,
Rebecca Parsons
Wonderful organization that has helped me with funds during my cancer journey! Thank you for all you do!!
I am so very Grateful for the support that the Pink Warriors Angels of Texas has given me. At a time when things are confusing, finances are not certain, and you're not sure who you can turn to for help. The Pink Warrior Angels definitely are a blessing. I was diagnosed with the first cancer last September and I was all over the place. I came to terms with that but then in December I received a 2nd. diagnosis. At such an uncertain time this organization was/is a blessing. Thank you again for being there when I needed this the most, Christina Crosby
I truly appreciate this organization for being a blessing to me in my time of need. I’m a young, single woman with no spouse or children and I’m battling stage 4 breast cancer on my own. Times are tremendously hard but you came through in the clutch. Thank you for providing rental assistance. God bless.
In 2017 my momma and little sister(35 years old) were diagnosed with breast cancer. I had to take off work to help them. At the end of the same year I (age 39) was diagnosed with breast cancer. Over a dozen surgeries later and Im still going thanks to foundations like this. Helping me to hold on while I try to put my life together again.
When you are diagnosed and battling you have so many obstacles that you are trying to deal with at one time. I was lead to Pink Warrior Angels of Texas for help and assistance and I was awarded a grant that could not have helped at a better time. It is just a blessing and wonderful feeling to have this kind of help when you are so desperately in need! Thank you so much!
Thank you so much pink warrior angels. I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful group in my corner! I couldn’t imagine how with all the obstacles I have with my breast cancer diagnosis how I was going to pay those bills! Thank you for your kindness!
Dear Pink Warrior Angels,
I received an email today from Pink Warrior Angels. The salutation read, "Great News Kathleen!" The next line read, the board has approved your financial aid application. I can not thank you enough for your financial assistance during this challenging time in my life. In July I had a double mastectomy. Usually, I work a part-time job to help support my household. However, since my diagnosis, I have been unable to do so. Because of your organization generous support, I am able to pay my bills next month, after many months of choosing whether to purchase enough groceries, get my medicine, etc. Currently I am not driving! Most days I Uber to and from work and doctor visits. I appreciate your kindness and support of those hurting and affected by breast cancer. I have been under so much stress, emotionally, physically, and mentally! I just kept praying, and hoping for a breakthrough! After reading my email from Pink Warrior Angels in its entirety, I just thanked God for answering prayer through your organization! "Pink Warrior Angels Absolutely Rock!"
I feel truly blessed!! I received notification today that this wonderful organization will be providing me with some financial assistance - towards medical bills. I am extremely grateful to all the donors, volunteers, and everyone involved with helping me and others who have been affected by cancer. My WARRIOR journey has just begun but I am feeling very optimistic! Again, THANK YOU…from the bottom of my heart!
I want to thank every single person who donated to this organization, because you changed my life, thank you so much. I am 40, diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer at the end of May 2021, had a double mastectomy in late June and my second cancer surgery on 10-6-21. I have worked full time, 1-2 jobs, since I was 15, I am single live along with my dog, however, after my employers insurance paid their portion, I was left with close to $6k in medical bills. I live paycheck to paycheck so for me personally, I was not afraid of breast cancer, the financial burden was the greatest stress I have had through this awful journey. I grew up very poor, I put myself through college twice, therefore I have $30k in student loans and the same time I found out I had bilateral breast cancer, I was in a car crash and had 4 broken bones in my right foot and lower shin. I have never felt so grateful in my entire life, then when I received the email from Pink Warrior Angels, that they are helping pay my breast cancer bills. I began to cry , happy tears, because I am alone, my family is not close and I have had to rely on myself for full care, and help from my best friend, as well as a nurse practitioner who works for one of my cancer doctors, she has supported me and lifted me up with words, reminded me how I did this, on my own and how strong of a woman I am as I don't have a support system or a supportive family. I have been through a lot of very hard things in my life, that I did not ask for, that I did not deserve. This organization, the donations by you, gave me faith, hope, encouragement-knowing, there are generous and good people in the World, there are selfless people who are kind and giving...Thank you, I am forever grateful for your donations, for this organization and I want to say to every one who had or has breast cancer- never ever give up. I believe God gives us challenges, to overcome, and it makes us stronger, and I believe he gave me this challenge to overcome to make me stronger, cancer changed me, I am different now. Much different..Thank you again, Steph
I am so happy to support Pink Warrior Angels of Texas, because I have seen first hand the amazing assistance they provide to those dealing with cancer treatments. They are there to meet the day to day challenges and needs that arise during cancer treatment, as well as virtual emotional support groups! Ad a cancer survivor, was so happy to volunteer as a model for the Runway of Hope Fundraiser Fashion Show last year! I plan to continue to support their efforts moving forward as well!
The mission of this organization is on point and the Financial Assistance they provide to people is so generous.
Julie reached out to me in regards to my son on several occasions and she was very patient, understanding, and respectful. She offered to help me and my kids Immediately. We talked on the phone several times and she became my Confidant( my go to person when I was stressed ). She helped me find other ways to cope with my new life and my CK kid. Julie was persistent about helping me and my family. It’s not often that the person providing the help is the Nuisance, it’s normally the person requesting the help but not in my case, Julie stayed with me and gave me hope . We Love the PINK WARRIOR ANGELS.
Pink Warrior Angels of Texas is an incredible organization that I'm honored to volunteer with. It is truly amazing to see the things that they do for cancer survivors and warriors. This organization is near and dear to my heart for many reasons and the imprint they have on so many by providing assistance and support during a time of need is invaluable. Even something that may seem small to some is so big for those who are going through through much. Whether it's providing dinner, a caring and uplifting card or even text message. The support shown by the organization to the recipients truly makes a difference in our community.
I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and am unable to continue working both of my jobs. Pink Warriors truly came in I time that I needed most. I thank God for you and as soon as I am able, I want to be able to help someone else like they helped me.
Thank you to this amazing organization that has helped me and other survivors countless of times. They are more than just my friends, they’re my pink sisters! I don’t know what I’d be without them!
My wife was diagnosed with cancer in January of 2021, we never thought we will be in the need of so many things, Mrs Julie Moser help us in so many ways no just with financial aid but with a lot of emotional support, guidance, care, even love. I am so grateful to her, she did a lot and beyond, she is really an angel. Thank you all Pink Warrior Angels
I received financial aid assistance from Pink Warrior Angels and it was a Godsend! I am currently unemployed and looking for work and I need help with bills, so Pink Warriors came to my rescue! Praise God for prospering them and using them to help me!
I also had the opportunity to speak with Julie and thank her and I enjoyed her immensely~ Beautiful spirit and great heart!
May the Lord bless and prosper PWA to help many more women!
My name is Rachael. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2020. I ended up leaving my job in September 2020 to take care of my health. This was a hard decision as that was my only income. Pink Warrior Angels of Texas has been a blessing to my family. I was having issues with my car, the biggest was my tires were all bad. Pink Warrior Angels of Texas helped me get new tires on my car so that I could get to my appointments without worry! That was a big stress reliever to me! I am and will be forever grateful for that. Also, they helped me with gifts for my son for Christmas. That was simply amazing!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
I was struck with MDS, a rare bone marrow disease and it’s getting difficult to keep up with the bills. I especially needed help with health insurance and PWA came through for me. Thank you! What a true blessing!
Thank you to Pink Warrior Angel for all that they do for surviors. They truly care about the Survivor and family members.
Hi! I am 36 and was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer in March 2020. My diagnosis had been difficult for myself and my family, especially during this pandemic. I have been so blessed to receive financial help from the Pink Warrior Angels! They are an amazing organization that truly cares about people! Thank you for all your help during this cancer battle and help alleviate some of my financial burden.
What a marvelous charity! PWA helped my patient with a significant medical bill and she was quite gracious. Financial stressors complicate the treatment process and your program relieved my patient's stress in a significant way. So good to know about you and will certainly share with my colleagues and other patients in need!
I am a 42 years old cancer patient and a mother of small children. I was diagnosed 2 years ago at age of 39. The diagnosis was a shock to us and soon I was rushed to surgery followed by chemo and radiations. I could not believe what is happening to my life. I was working from home trying to help with bills. Cancer treatments forced me to stop working as it was too much for my frail body. Bills accumulated and we struggled more and more to pay them. Pink Warriors helped us to pay the bills. They are true heroes and sincerely care about people in need. Thank you pink Warriors.
Pink warriors helped my family with $287.00 to help make amy monthly car payment which is a great help to my family. Thank you for your help my family appreciates your organization.
Words alone can never truly express my sincere and heartfelt gratitude, that I am feeling at this moment. The Pink Warrior Angels of Texas, The Great-nonprofits and HEB have been an abundance of Blessings to me. I want thank everyone once again for the help and support. God Bless each and everyone of you and please stay safe.
PWA began their journey of help, compassion and friendship when my sister became Julie’s cancer angel. Julie stood at my families side when our darkest days were happening and was right there to offer a shoulder when my sister lost her battle to breast cancer after a nearly 9 year battle. We knew we would always cherish their help after that, but what we didn’t know is that once again they would step up to offer the same support just 19 days later when I was diagnosed with breast cancer after a routine mammogram. Our family had only began to grief and come to grips with my sisters loss, and here we were starting our battle again with me. I have 4 more treatments to finish out my 1 1/2 year battle. I know my battle is still far from over, but I’m hoping this will give my family a break. Thank you PWA for absolutely everything you’ve done for our family!
Ijust wanted to say thank you to Pink Warrior Angels for all that they do.
I have been battling cancer since last March and it has rapidly spread into my neck ,spine and ribs. My journey with this deadly disease has been eased knowing I have Angels by my side.
My name is Bonnie Vargo. I am a Metavivor. My breast cancer returned in Feb. 2019 and it spread to my liver and spine. I have been battling cancer since 2003 and although it has been a long hard road my faith has grown immensely over the years. The Pink Warrior Angels of Texas are a Godsent and an answer to a prayer. They are truly Angels and are helping me pay some bills which I could not pay. My husband Alex and I are on social security and it has been tough trying to make ends meet. Thank you Pink Warrior Angels of Texas for your support and generosity. Your organization is a blessing to those of us going through cancer and I will spread the word about you to my Pink Sisters.

pinkwarriorangels 04/09/2020
We are excited to have met you and more excited for our donors who have made it possible to help you pay some bills. Many hugs to you Bonnie!
Pink Warriors have been a God send to our breast cancer patients at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. We have many patients here who are struggling financially and are single moms so when they were diagnosed with cancer, they were horrified that they would end up homeless and in mountains of debt they would never be able to come out of. Pink warriors has eased some of my patients' fears and provided a bit of a safety net so that they can focus more on getting better than on money. Pink Warriors and the assistance they provide is invaluable. Thank you!

We are glad we met you while in Austin to bring help to your area of NY.
This organization goes above and beyond to help everyone they cross paths with. Julie and her crew live their lives with the best interest of the organization at heart. These volunteers empower their survivors, educate their peers and help make the world aware of the importance of early detection.
This organization truly cares for everyone who has to live with Cancer. The smallest things that go unnoticed, Pink Warrior Angels is there to bring it to light and help those in need.
Amazing Organization wonderful people and a mission that needs our attention! Julie and her team are amazing in this community!
When my neighbor was diagnosed with cancer Pink Warrior Angels were there to support her every step of the way. The "angels" have had the experience & the personal depth of understanding all that a "warrior" endures and goes through. The "angels" meet needs emotionally as well as with every day needs as transportation to & from appointments, concerns of how am I going to deal with finances & family needs when I can no longer work . As a group not only is there outreach to people who have cancer but they also support other community needs . The youth within the nonprofit volunteered at the Cove soup kitchen & supported the animal shelter after the tornado. Volunteers are amazing in their dedication.
Pink Warrior Angles is so BOMB! I’ve been volunteering for a year and it has been worth the time. They show appreciation to everyone that’s apart of the organization and they are VERY passionate about it as well. Such a selfless group of people.
I am moved to tears to tell how pink warriors have of helped me.life after cancer treatments is much harder than most would think.I’ve lost my job because when I was going through chemo I was much too ill to perform my duties, and when I got finished with my chemo it was hard to find a job to help support my needs that paid as much as my former job.I had been in management at my former job for over 10 years, and had worked my way up and was making good money. now I’ve had to start at the bottom at a new job.also during my chemotherapy me and my husband separated.life has been very difficult. But pink warriors sir have helped. They even helped me get proper under garments after surgery... So so grateful to these kind doaners. They set the bar high in this world. I plan on giving back some how. They've meant so much to me.
I could have never prepared myself for this journey. There have been so many ups and downs along the way. So many hardships that I never dreamed I would face. I have a good job, but I never considered the notion of not being able to work and make a paycheck. My world changed drastically in November 2018, when I was diagnosed with DCIS and IDC. And it changed even more drastically in January 201, when I found out it had infiltrated my lymph nodes. Now I was facing more time off and more treatment than I had initially thought. I had considered a cancer policy and short-term disability policy, but thought “I’m still young so I’ll wait a few more years”. While I was able to work (by the grace of God) 4 day weeks most weeks, my paycheck was becoming less and less, and soon it would be about 1/9 of my normal salary. I was starting to become consumed with how I would pay my rent and utilities not to mention medical bills. Thank God I heard about Pink Warriors of TX. I applied and within a couple weeks I got my answered prayer! Thank you PWATX and all the sponsors who are a part in helping me to have peace of mind and pay my bills. Blessings to you all ~Celicia Moeller
I wish that I had such an amazing group of women when I was going through my own cancer. Julie gives everyone and everything all that she has and all of her reserves. It's rare to find such a genuine group of people so ready and willing to do all they can. I honestly feel like cancer makes us realize the strength we don't know we have in us, and being able to lean on others who have found that strength means more than most people can ever understand.
The bigger organizations seem so impersonal, but Pink Warriors does so much to involve the organization in the community, and bring everyone together. It is a family. One you will have for as long as you want or need.
I am so blessed and honored to know such wonderful people and contribute in any way I can to all the amazing things this Pink Warriors is going to do for years to come.
Pink Warrior Angel's of Central Texas is amazing. They are a hard working non-profit who puts all their volunteers and patients on a pedestal. They go above and beyond to meet the needs of everyone from all forms of cancers either emotionally or financially. They are highly involved in the community and give back as much as possible. Great group of people doing great things! -Niki
By being a Volunteer and a Board Member, I see both sides of this great organization! The Help and Support is what makes this group. From fun ways to bring money in, to showing others what we do, to creating many friendships. Truly this group has what it takes to make that change! Small town, big heart, we will not stop.
Pink Warrior Angels primarily focuses on Breast Cancer, but when my daughters best friend was diagnosed with cancer they stepped in to help the family and my daughter with understanding the process. They checked in and stood by the family and offered their support. They are still some of our closest friends.
I recently was diagnosed with bc. I was so devistated as to what i was gonna do to pay bills when i wasnt able to work any longer? Well prayers were answered when God sent the pink warriors into my life. My worries were a little less because of this awesome group whom payed my current bills. Thank God for these lovely ladies..
I was referred by Komen staff member in San Antonio that this Charity will help cancer patients. Website was easy to navigate and response was quick as well as the application process. They approved to help assist me, but I have not received anything in the mail or confirmation or further information on how they pay your bills or write you a check is totally unclear. Update: so followed up with them and they said they pay your bills directly to the company. Just odd that you don’t receive any notice of that happening and let you know to check.
5 plus stars. They rock. I am so worried about finances and trying to get through breast cancer treatment. Now I can focus on my treatment only. Best Wishes and thank you so...so.. very much. The money went to doctors bills that were not covered by insurance . I had a 3,000 deductible and the bills are financially debilitating. Thank to this group and the wonderful ladies and people that assist us to keep going every day.
Almost one year ago, I retired after 28 years of federal service. Feeling that I needed something to maintain my sanity, that was not only challenging but rewarding.. I decided to step up my volunteering; select one that was very near and dear to my heart in support of my family and their cancers... brain, thyroid, prostate, breast. My choice - Pink Warrior Angels. Several months after my initial application, I submitted a request for consideration onto the Board. Since January 2018, my duties have been as the Warrior/Angel Coordinator. I love this position. It has meet all of my expectations; challenging, rewarding, supportive and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Thanks to PWA. One of best decisions I’ve made!
I am not a survivor, but it is a huge honor to be able to help out with the Pink Warrior Angels to raise thousands of dollars that go directly to those fighting cancer. At the gala each year, it is a wonderful site to see the faces of the women who have fought and are fighting cancer as they share their stories of the love and support that PWA is able to provide them! It is heartwarming!
Pink Warrior Angels are a group of women who have a heart for others. This group is made up of cancer survivors, cancer fighters, and care givers. Each person brings their gifts and talents so that together they can help others.
I volunteer with Pink Warrior Angels as a cancer survivor. Pink Warrior Angels gives me a place to help others, make new friends, and have a renewed sense of purpose for my life.
I Live in Corpus Christi Texas, I was really excited about a Breast Cancer Retreat I was going to attend the first part of September. Well I had not planned on Harvey! Everything changed, the money I had set aside for travel expenses, to the Casting For Recovery Annual Reunion...would go to buying survival supplies, etc. After Harvey, my Van would not work, it needed a new fuel pump. I applied as a Pink Warrior and told my story. They Sent me money to reimburse me, for the repair of my Van so I could travel to this long awaited retreat on time! Even more amazing is they helped me with another debt. It really took a load off my heart, to know I could travel up to Hill country and spend time with my sister survivors. Thank you so much Pink Warrior Angels, you have helped make a dream come true, and you also took a burden off of my tired shoulders. God Bless! I will post some of the Photos of the Breast Cancer Retreat.
Angels on Earth ... who truly are Warriors. I am writing this in memorium of my dear friend and pink sister, Melody Tolar. Melody ... fought "the monster" which is breast cancer with all of her might. She earned her angel wings in November of 2016. I will NEVER say she lost her battle..to do so would be an injustice to how hard Melody fought. Jen Reynolds, Melody and I knew each other, as fellow breast cancer Survivors. Melody and Jen were fellow BFF's (young breast cancer survivors). I reached out to Jen and Pink Warrior Angels when Melody and her family contacted me as they were in need of assistance with legal documents such as Medical POA. They needed Legal Advice and a lawyer. I contacted Jen and Pink Warrior Angels to see if she could recommend the services of someone. I also explained to Jen that Melody's cancer had advanced and that she was in need of some extra special TLC from her Pink Sister Community. Jen Reynolds and PWA worked with Melody's family and found proper legal representation so that all the proper paper work could be executed. I was a witness to Melody signing those papers ... one of the most bittersweet moments of my life. Jen Reynolds "rallied the survivor sister troups" around Melody and made sure that the last months of her life were filled with love...support and most importantly prayer. The most beautiful "gift" given to Melody was a day of pampering for she and her mom, Charlotte. PWA helped to arrange this with the help of the beautiful Ms. Jovannah with Beauty on The Bus . Jen, Dez and I spent the day with our beautiful Melody and her mom, her caregiver. This is the last time I "saw" my dear friend Melody. She was happy and laughing as her makeup and nails were being done. She was treated like the beautiful, brave Princess she was. We listened to her favorite Japanese music as she enjoyed her Japanese soda and candy. We gathered for a photo.. making sure her fiery red wig was on just right.. as our Melody was very "Melticulous '. I will never forget that day as her loving father carried her to and from the bus. We... Warriors did all we could to be strong for Melody that day and fought back tears. We wanted that day to be joyful for her, and it was as her photo is proof of that. We never imagined that Melody would pass away just a week later. Jen and many of the Angels were there for Melody those final days, gathering to show their love and support and praying, which gave Mel great comfort. Thank you PWA for all you did for our sweet pink sister Melody (HnM's ELSA). Thank you for embracing all women who fight "the monster" .
Pink Warrior Angel's have been a true Blessing. I instantly felt the love, the connection and how they care about each and every cancer patient. They are survivors and they know how hard it is to fight everyday. This group keeps us all motivated, smiling, and helps us fight even on our worse day. I am forever great full to them and will definitely be helping by paying it forward as they have to be.
As a breast cancer patient/survivor/warrior/angel, sometimes we need to be given a good kick in the butt to keep focused on living life to the fullest. This is what PWA has been for me. From encouragement to advocate for myself, to having a place to vent war stories and still be told that I'm "normal", a place to play "show and tell" of our scars and our foobs, PWA has been a safe place because we understand one another like no one else can. PWA has been the median that I believe saved my life by continuously connecting me to resources within the breast cancer community.
PWA is an outstanding organization of dedicated, caring, and hard working women. They are committed to helping others and ensuring that no one has to travel their journey alone. Truly inspiring to watch the things that take place. the amount of hours worked, just to give back to others, is admirable. PWA has my support and they should have yours too.
Pink Warrior Angels has been a saving grace in my life, giving me the opportunity to pay it forward to other survivors and warriors. No one should have to endure cancer treatment alone the way that I did and I am so thankful that Pink Warrior Angels has now given me the opportunity to make sure no woman has to go through it the way I did. Knowing that they care for, not only the emotional side of a diagnosis, but will also assist financially is truly incredible. I have built life long relationships with the warriors that I have adopted. I am forever bonded to them and they have inspired me in ways I could not have imagined. This organization does so much to help other women and it has truly been a blessing in my life.
Pink Warrior Angels is an organization that is one of a kind. If they don't have it they will find it. It has been a humbling experience since day 1

...and what a ride it has been ever since
Helping warriors navigate this cumbersome journey truly is the passion of Pink Warrior Angels, led out by founders Jen & Julie. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Nov 2014, I had no idea what to expect. Thankfully my oncologist introduced me to Jen at my first chemo treatment, and she became a huge part of my story. Jen joined me at my treatments & offered support all along the way (advice, what to expect, a mastectomy kit, etc.). It's an amazing organization that supports so many women during what is normally a scary & overwhelming time in our lives.

We are honored to have met you at the right time!
The cofounders of Pink Warrior Angels mean so much to me. Their support for Breast Cancer Survivors like myself is unique and it's heartfelt. Warriors need support for healing during our journey and pink warrior angels do a great job at filling our needs, no matter what they are.

We are honored to have you!
In January of 2016, I found a golf-ball sized lump, under my arm. In the process of scans and biopsies, I was diagnosed with a mixed autoimmune disease. The previous 6 months, I had been running constant fevers, ached from head to toe, and had inexplicable rashes on my face and arms. Circulation to my extremities had become so limited and painful, that I avoided the refrigerated section at the grocery store and wore gloves at work on a daily basis.
Three days after being diagnosed with MCTD, pathology of 3 lymphatic tumors came back positive for cancer. However, doctors were unsure of where the cancer was coming from. All we knew was that it was aggressively spreading through the lymph system, it was feeding off estrogen and it was 90% squaumous cell carcinoma. My journey with MD Anderson and the hunt for a primary tumor began. After much deliberation and multiple opinions, I began a regimen for Breast Cancer Chemotherapy first. The theory was that my overactive immune system attacked the cancer cells in the breast before it could form a tumor, but not before it metastasized into my lympyh system. Once it spread, it differentiated into squamous cell carcinoma.
After 20 rounds of A/C and taxol, I had a bilateral mastectomy (where no tumor was found, but precancerous cells were identified) and 6 weeks of daily radiation after work. The 2nd degree burns took a turn for the worse in the end, and I had a topical infection that we treated with antibiotics. However, the infection was more aggressive than expected and MRSA rooted behind my right expander. Two emergency surgeries later, packing a cavity, learning to administer my own pic line and beginning new Tamoxifen side effects, my right tissue began to heal but was not able to seal...not even with a wound vac. A 3rd surgery was required to stitch up the tissue after 2 months. Even as recent as last week's follow up, signs of infection are back. Since I'm closely monitored, I think we caught it early and I'm back on antibiotics. Next week I'll undergo a surgery to remove my ovaries followed by Arimidex. Follow up scans will watch nodes around my supraclavicle that began to grow last summer, but seemingly responded to Breast Cancer chemo. Still holding high hopes that additional chemo for squamous cell carcinoma will not be necessary.
During this last year, I faced severe financial hardships as I had to miss so much work. PWA awarded me with enough money to catch up on my rent and utilities. I truly don't know what I would've done without the help. It was a scary place, to be too sick to work and behind on everything. But more than that, knowing that my Angel and others Angels in PWA were emotionally there for me, allowed me to always have hope and stay positive,

You are such an inspiration!!
I've had the privilege of knowing one of the founders of PWA for most of my adult life and have seen her as she went through her own cancer diagnosis and moving forward with the idea of Pink Warrior Angels. Pink Warrior Angels has touched the lives of many and gives those with a cancer diagnosis hope and a hand to hold during treatment and beyond. I'm excited for the growth and possibilities that lie ahead for PWA and those whose lives it will touch in the Texas area and beyond!

You are an inspiration to all of us!!
I was diagnosed on April 21, 2016, at 39 years old with Stage 2, Invasive Ductak Carcinoma. I was a single mother of a 4 year old. I was devastated. My biggest fear was my son growing up without me and not being around to see all the amazing milestones in his precious life. My son is my entires world! So I scheduled a double mastectomy as soon as my family could arrive to help after surgery. I had a double mastectomy on June 8, 2016. It was confirmed my cancer had matastised to a lymph node. I began chemo August 1, 2016 and completed October 3, 2016. My son gave me the strength to keep fighting. I have gotten married and my husband is my rock. He has helped get my son to school and played many roles assisting and making sure my son was the least affected by my illness. We are an amazing team. I've been cancer free since Feb 3, 2017. And I'm anxiously waiting for my 1 year cancer free anniversary... Pink Warrior Angels was absolutely amazing during my journey from sending mastectomy bags, pillows, activity books, head wraps, to anything I needed. They are a wealth of knowledge and support. They do amazing things for women who need the support of others who have been through this journey themselves. Having someone that's been through this and there to cry, talk or answer questions is such an amazing feeling as a warrior and going through the most challenging time of your life!

Your smile proves we can and will get through this!
Pink Warrior Angels has touched my heart from volunteering for the nonprofit and seeing all the wonderful things that we get to do for so many woman. To learning so much about breast cancer and that it hits all ages not 40+. To be able to part of this nonprofit is truly honorable. The co founders are amazingly strong women that get to show other woman that can make it through. The are always just a call away, a chemo buddy , a smiling face for dinner or lunch date but most important always a source of knowledge, recourses and love!
