After moving to Columbus two years ago I joined the Junior League to try and find a group of women who liked volunteering and professional development as much as I do. And I found it! The Junior League has helped me gain confidence in my career and feel a better connection to the community. I have also gained a great group of girlfriends along the way. 10/10 would recommend
When I joined the Junior League of Columbus almost 4 years ago, I was hoping to meet a new network of women in Columbus and gain some volunteer experience but the JLC has become so much more over these few years. I have received mentorship from other successful women and was encouraged to step into leadership roles which has provided training that has been beneficial in my professional career. I have learned so much about the Columbus community and had the privilege to volunteer with amazing women from all backgrounds. The work that Junior League members do across the city of Columbus and country is incredible and and has truly enriched my time living in Columbus!
This group of women are organized, passionate and dedicated to the Columbus Community. Serving their neighbors for almost 100 years, the Junior League continues to improve the central Ohio area.
When I moved to Columbus in 2016, I joined the Junior League with the hope of getting to know my new city, but the League has proven to be so much more! By serving on different committees, I've been able to develop new leadership and organizational skills that have proven beneficial in my personal and professional life. The most rewarding part of this organization is seeing the impact we as a collective can make on the community.
The Junior League of Columbus is a fantastic organization! There is absolutely something for every woman, from volunteering for our local community to meeting your closest friends. All who join are sure to gain valuable leadership experience, experience that translates to your personal and professional life. I'm proud to be a member of the Junior League of Columbus!
The Junior League of Columbus is a fun and empowering women's organization to be involved in. It is an organization that truly strives to make a difference. My favorite part about being a member of the Junior League of Columbus is the hands on approach the League has on giving back to our community. From helping distribute backpacks to the local schools to creating awareness around foster care, the Junior League of Columbus is great way to give back. Not only has the Junior League of Columbus given me the opportunity to better the community, it has also helped me to acquire new skills and better myself. The Junior League of Columbus is also a training organization and there are many skills that I have learned during my experience in the League that I have been able to take with me to utilize at home and in my career. Additionally, the Junior League provides a welcoming environment and as a result, has introduced me to many kind and forward thinking women, that I now call my friends. This is an ideal organization to be involved with if you are looking to give back to the community, learn new something new, and build lasting friendships.
The Junior League of Columbus is an amazing organization with incredible women I am proud to call friends. Being a member of the League has given me access to fantastic training opportunities. I have developed leadership skills that help me within the League as well as in my non-profit day job. I will take what I've learned in the League to other organizations I choose to volunteer with in the future. I highly recommend that all women who are interested in improving the central Ohio community with other incredible women while also growing as individuals consider joining the League!
The Junior League of Columbus is an amazing organization that truly lives it's mission of empowering women and building leaders while also giving back to the community. Through being a part of this organization I have gained such valuable skills that I wouldn't have had the opportunity to foster elsewhere. I have been able to further develop skills in leading a team, planning fundraising events, problem-solving, planning trainings, collaborating and effective communication. I have also been privileged to work with amazing, talented and diverse leaders that have challenged me to think differently and learn from them. In addition to self-growth I have been able to witness the impact that JLC has made on the community through our quick impact projects and initiatives with Columbus city schools, foster youth and the Kelton House.
I have been involved in the Junior League of Columbus (JLC) for 8 years now. The JLC stays true to its mission- committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The JLC has trained me to be a leader which has helped me in my professional career as well as personal growth. I also adore the JLCs community projects and love seeing the impact it makes on our community. I have also met someone lifetime friends though the JLC. Thanks to all who make this organization so wonderful!
I have been a Junior League volunteer going on 4 years now. What I love most about this organization is the real-world training you receive. In the organization, you have the ability to apply for different positions that you might not be able to in your work life. The league truly empowers women to become leaders in the community and I am grateful to be apart of this organization.
